WhoisMind.com, Media14h.com, IpAddressDen.com - Frauds

They are abusing terms of use set for using WhoIs information. Is plain and simple ILLEGAL. They need to be SUED, as are not listening to complaints either.
The two website by Media14h.com namely WhoIsMind.com and IpAddressDen.com are doing same. Now they have launched Android app too.

Company mail id mentioned is fake is just a mail forwarding address.
Media14h.com company website shows no information about company.

They are cheat, fraud,

Whosoever is victim does not need to worry, just file case in court like me, and sue them. Is very simple to prove that they are fraud, and claim big damages for same.

They need to see and understand and honor the terms of use of WhoIS information using which they have downloaded information.

Extorting me for 14.95 per month

This website refuses to remove my personal information without paying 14.95 per month! They think this is some kind of sick game. Messing with people and extorting them for a monthly fee. This is ridiculous. This is like me putting up a billboard on the side of the road with someone life story on it. These people pay NOTHING for the content on the website. It's all taken from whois information that's suppose to be viewed by members only. The RIGHT thing to do is allow people to OPT OUT for free. It's bad enough they barely do any work by just stealing content. Now they rip people off and extort them. What scum bag does this. I hope this website gets shut down and I'm contacting the Attorney General.

Moronic Internet Users

Are you guys really that stupid?
I can not see WhoIsMind doing anything illegal just because you fools think it is...
Obtaining public WhoIs info is not illegal, unless you are using it for illegal purposes....
In fact, any public info on the internet is fair game, otherwise you would have purchased
the private options when setting up your domain...WhoIs data is public data, and they do
not have to remove the data once they pull it over to their site, in fact, anyone can setup
a whois site, use some type of api to pull over the whois data, nothing illegal about it guys....
and if sites do not want to have their data pulled, then they need to disallow access....

blackmail, lets sue, extortion, fraud, cheats, file in court like me for big damages...
what big damages, for listing public whois data that you did not make private?

If I find any public domain info about you online, then I have every right to
publish, and I am under no obligation to remove the info what-so-ever....
if you dont want it online, then dont put it online, pay the extra fee, and make it private...

Grow up people....

I do not see anything illegal...
I do see a lot of stupidity....

who is whoismind?

Dsimms, I'm sorry, I don't mean to be rude but I think you are the real idiot, but only because you are being arrogant about your knowledge of the internet.. just because you know how the system works doesn't make it right...
Do you even know what extortion means? We need domain names to do business, it's how the world works and unless we want to go live in the bush and wipe our backsides with leaves, we have to advance with the times. So what do we do, we sign up to the internet, we don't know how the system works, it's not stupidity, it's simply not knowing, and this is where they take advantage, you have to learn first when something is new and we get this but generally we all assume our information will remain private in such situations, after all, would it not be idiotic, reckless and unprofessional for any business to simply share all our information with anyone and everyone, bank details, dental records, a buffet of opportunities for criminals, fraudsters, all at the click of a button. How is it, that all of a sudden for a yearly fee, there is a solution, why wasn't that solution there in the first place. I signed up with a website for a domain name, I'd never heard of whoismind, then I find them sprawling my info across the internet, I'm reading terms and conditions I'd never even seen before and I did read the t&c when I signed up so I'm trying to understand this, please enlighten me.

WhoIsMind Business Practices

This how they respond to any complaints. This company should definitely be shut down. I will not stop to take this to the highest power!

Hello,

First, you are not our customer.

Second, we don't have to "direct" you.  It is your job to read what you sign.

So find where you bought your domain name, find your contract, read and understand it.

We are not "amateur"... we are simply not concerned by the issue.  We tried to be polite but it looks like you need another way of saying things to understand.

No hard feelings.

Send your feedback to Google

I've sent the following feedback to Google, if enough people send this feedback to Google, Google could do something about this. Google should not facilitate extortion. Google is also responsible for this violation of webmaster's privacy.

Send the following feedback:

Webmasters are being extorted by whoismind.com and ipaddressden.com. When you search an email address in Google, if the email is owned by a webmaster, very often you get results from whoismind.com and ipaddressden.com - they ask a fee to remove your personal information. This is extortion, you can read the complains at http://www.reviewstalk.com/complaints-reviews/www-whoismind-com-l36311.html

Very often those websites display inaccurate data, which is not even in the public Whois database. Even if a webmaster decides to buy a private registration from the registrar, his data is not removed from whoismind.com and ipaddressden.com. Webmasters have the right to protect their privacy.

I'm a webmaster and I don't think this fair to webmasters that produce websites and content. Webmasters buy a lot of Adwords and Google shouldn't allow these extortion practices.

WhoisMind.com- Internet Scams Against Website Owners

I found out, WhoisMind.com is located in Minsk (Bulgaria). They of course feel that the FBI has no jurisdiction here in Minsk (Bulgaria). I told them." Have you ever heard of International Trade Agreements...its between the United States Government and other countries, your web sites can be removed from the United States Internet Server"...But the got Busted by the Toptentogo's News Network.
People want to build websites and have fun and make money. Every now and then some companies come along and put a gun to your head and post your personal email address on the net, and tell you if you want it removed you got to pay them money. Internet Robbery with out the Gun.
I do not know these internet companies but I do own toptentogo.net , The 1 & 1 Web-Site, they do not know how this happened and I did not give permission for personal information to be posted. And I sure as there is a Hell will not pay them but I am entertaining the thought of taking them to court. I do not have web sites with them and thats that...Information is as follows...a copy and paste. I will of course remove my email address from this blog.
I do not know: Whoismind.com-.... www.whoismind.com/email/[email protected] ...
Discover who owns the Email Address [email protected], which domains, hostnames and names are related.Dont know, dont care, remove my email-address....will not, do not pay to be ripped off...Internet Scams...

A solution?

Hello everybody! First of all, sorry for my poor English, it's not my language.
Well, I'm in the same embarrassing and frustrating situation. After reading several reviews and complaints about those criminals here and there on the web, I think it's useless losing time in dealing with them.
We have to know that the owner(s) of Whoismind(.)com has also Ipaddressden(.)com and Media14h(.)com, and possibly other ones.
In my opinion, the first thing is NEVER pay one single cent to such racketeers, on no account. We don't have to pay such a scum, we must "kill" them.
Now, my suggestion is to send a complaint to their registrar. Every person concerned. The more complaints they receive, the more they will take it seriously. Here is the address:
[email protected] (enom.com is the registrar of the mentioned websites).
Let's join as much links and documents as possible in order to show what their clients are doing.
If they reply that it's none of their business or they can do nothing or some other classical "I don't give a f" answers, one could warn them about a possible complaint against themselves (Enom) for hosting and protecting websites infringing laws, plus complicity in extortion, privacy violation, racket. There are several websites potentially devastating in matter of reputation. Here are some:
- ripoffreport.com (extremely powerful; they never delete a complaint)
- scamexposure.com
- scamtop.com
- pissedconsumer.com
- complaints.com
- complaintsboard.com
- shamscam.com
And spreading the name of Enom on Facebook, Twitter and others would be a disaster for them. But let's try to ASK GENTLY a first time.
P.S. I strongly suspect "dsimms" (see comment above) to be one of "them". Almost sure.

Communication style from Whoismind

The people from Whoismind have read this review already. The user "dsimms" has answered exactly in the same style as they always respond to e-mail requests.

They always try to make people feeling stupid. But don't get fooled by them. They act illegal and have no right to publish private and old data!

Scumbags

I have paid a lot of money protecting my privacy for 100s of domains. Somehow, these f**kers got my personal email and posted on their sites whoismind.com and ipaddressden.com. Now I receive upwards of a 1000 spam emails per day. They refuse to remove my personal information and insist on trying to extort me for an annual fee to "protect" my privacy. I'm not going to pay this guys sh*t". This is illegal, my records are private. They claim this is whois information, but that is bullsh*t as I use privacy services and have been for 5 years. And if this really was whois information at some point in time, why the hell isn't it updated? I want to kill these pieces of sh*t literally. Why hasn't someone taken these people down? DDOS attack anyone? Where's Anonymous when you need them ... I have tried filing reports with the police and FBI, but they don't give a crap. I guess it's time we take this into our own hands? Everyone should launch there own attack against all their websites. Let's tell these punk asses who's boss!

why no progress has been made

I'm having the same problem and getting a lot of scam emails because these idiots have published my email, and also my address and all my personal information from my history. My current info is protected by my registrar but www.whoismind.com is showing my history. Somebody in the previous comments in 2014 said that we can do sthg by complaining to amazon and ICANN but I wonder why now after one year, the companies responsible for shutting down this horrible whoismind have not done anything about it?

Let's take these scum bags down

The best way I found so far (apart from getting to know their addresses) is to complain to [email protected]

To make your life easier, below is what you can write. The more we will be, the better. We should also wrote the same to their registrar.

If anyone has any info on where I can physically find these guys, id be happy to take it.

Dear all,

I'm writing this email to complain about the 3 bellow websites hosted by AWS:

whoismind.com
ipaddressden.com
media14h.com

Their activity is immoral and illegal by several jurisdictions and I am one of their victims.

Their business model is to track and record public information issued by webmasters when they create new websites. Not everyone is aware that such information tend to be used for malevolent commercial purposes and therefore keep it public.
Once they are contacted by angry website owners worried about their privacy, they invite them to pay a monthly fee to temporarily delete their data -- which is not even done (after I paid them said fee, they still displayed publicly my informations).

While their activity could find some legal ground here and there, it is indeed actually illegal since it constitutes an illegal use of public information. Indeed asking a ransom to delete it, even if the data is not relevant anymore is both immoral and illegal. This is the purpose of their business model.

While this is surely immoral, one could find loopholes in US law to clumsily justify it (without even being sure to succeed). However, this is clearly illegal by several other jurisdiction, including in the EU, that recently passed a law called "the right to be forgotten".

But this goes beyond a simple right to be forgotten. This raises huge security issues. Indeed, not only my name is linked to the data the make public, but also my phone number and my physical address. Therefore, by typing my name on the Internet, thanks to the company I'm complaining about, anyone can find out where I live!

I believe that, statistically, this is a matter of days before someone finds themselves in physical danger because such info is being made public. Surely a huge scandal will follow.

Knowing this, I do not understand why Amazon allow such companies to exist by hosting them. Their business model is illegal or at best immoral.

Could you please advise?

Many thanks.

Best Regards,
