Building is great as many would agree. All of the Essex buildings are in great demand. Units sell very quickly. Management and board bend over backwards to help. Caveat emptor - if you are going to buy beside a major transit hub, expect noise. Soundproofing (and there is not real such thing) to a level where you would not hear trains, buses, etc. would drive the cost of a unit up beyond what anyone could afford. Obviously your expectations are not realistic.

Noise is expected, but so is mitigation, thusTridel's purchase agreement has a noise clause stating they have consulted with government bodies before building the community. Caveat Emptor as it pertains to the noise disclosure could be construed as misleading given the noise levels certain units are being exposed to. Normal to have frost on a window inside a room, unlikely.Board's bending somewhere, such concerns were brought to their attention, and, or Tridel's over a period of three years.Tarion after all expects them to bring common element issues to their attention in order to assist owners.

Eyes wide open. You didn't do your 'due diligence" before purchasing. If sound attenuation was such a big issue, then you should have researched it thoroughly before buying. Frost on a double pane window is likely depending on the outside temperature and the inside humidity. Triple pane, maybe not. And if the window wasn't closed tightly, a bit of leakage around the seal would do the same thing. Sure, you can buy luxury units with all kinds of additional features but you pay through the nose. Suggestion - go find the unit in the building that you really like and sell at Essex. Real Estate agents are tripping over themselves to get these listings.
