Toronto Pathways is a stupid scam
Thank you for posting this. I too got a call from these people and became suspicious when they wouldn't reference a specific position. I can use my own network and search for jobs using my own resources thankyouverymuch! If anyone wants FREE resume/job search advice from an HR professional training in Career Development, let me know and I will help!

NOTE: Don't feed the trolls people
This company is also operating under the identity "FranRecruiting". They are scamming people in the UK using the email "[email protected]" and in Canada they are using "[email protected]". It is a very convincing an elaborate setup from the initial e-mail I received, (see below). It is also obvious that they are targeting individuals that they feel are making enough money to pay for this network hookup from job sites. The ironic thing is I received this during a time when I am doing a job search, which makes it even more deceitful, if I was stupid enough to fall for it. They need to get a life and get a real job. And whoever these people are, doing it in Toronto is an even stupider idea... you don't want beef with the wrong person. Eventually they'll get their asses handed to them in one way or another :)

Also please note according to the WHOIS, it is owned by a Connor Andrews. They are using a service to hide their true identity called: [email protected]. A quick search found they have registered www.TOPMASTERFRANCHISE.COM, www.FRANCHISEFINDERSERVICES.COM, www.MYFRANCHISECAREER.NET, some of which is appearing in google ads on entrepreneurial-style pages via AdSense.

This elaborate trickery of e-mail's and websites predating on people's need to succeed is a wicked practice "Jim Karl"

I also knew the minute this man Mr. Macdonald starting speaking that it was a scam! How our government can allow such deceit to occur is beyond me! I wish all good luck in their job hunts and learn fast that most people are not to be trusted.

Guys, ignore the trolls, they seem to enjoy hijacking the a lot of complaints on this board. I suggest you all file a report with the administrator of this site if they keep imposing themselves on you. According to the postings and the dates, these e-mails have been going on since early 2011 to now, (Feb 2012).
The sad thing is, the end of this "interview process" puts you in a place where you are going to buy a franchise through "WSI Corporate". Now I've taken a look at their documentation and videos, and I'm not going to go into the cult of personality practices they have of selling, but because of the way the franchises are structured, it really puts pressure on those involved to put others underneath themselves in the pyramid. Not try to justify these people's behavior, but to show what pyramid schemes turn people into, who they attract, and how low they'll go. If you've come to this comment after having received the e-mail and doing your due diligence as to it's validity, do yourself a favor, and trust your gut, and walk away from this one.

The OP submitted a 3rd hand complaint which is useless. The Op never had an experience with TP beyond a first interview so anything that stemmed from his keyboard after that salient fact is hearsay. Pyramid schemes, if it is, can be very lucrative for a few, many are successful in these endeavors. The whiners are those who are not succesful.
