Tissot T-Touch Watch is not reliable at all!

I bought my Tissot T-Touch in 2002 and it worked fine till 2008. in between the years, I sent it for normal servicing on the 5th years (2007). I worked fine till late 2008 when out of a sudden the time dial got completely out of sync with the digital read out. When I activate the touch screen the hands would no longer point together at the function you touched and the hands also did not move smoothly. It seems like the hands are shuffling up and down. I thought it's time to change the battery but unfortunately after changing to a new battery it lasted for only 1 day. Then the watch went dead. I went over to the shop to check the condition, but was told that there's something wrong with my watch. He advice me to send to the service centre. I bought mine in Singapore and sent for the 1st normal servicing also in Singapore. I'm not sure if I should send it for repair since there's so much complaint about the watch.

Tissot T-Touch Watch is not reliable at all!

After reading these comments, come to realise that I'm not the only one having problem with the Tissot Touch. Bought mine few years back, sent to service centre a few times because of malfunction of the compass, before they replaced a brand new one without cost. The new one failed me as well, until recently, it stop functioning altogether. Sent into the service centre again, and was told that the watch need to be overhauled. After a month or so, got back the watch from overhaul, with additional one year warranty. However, less than 6 month later, it stop working again. In and out from the service centre, thinking it should work reliably now, but was disappointed again, sent it in again, and receive call from the centre offering a brand new Touch 2 with 50% discount on the retail price (S$700++ after discount) if I trade in this old one. WTH!

Tissot T-Touch Watch is not reliable at all!

I was about to spend $900 Australian dollar on the PRC200 chrono automatic Tissot until I found this site.I am sorry for the bad experiences that you have had with Tissot and thank you very much for sharing them.I also have a Tag, it's very reliable but the service cost is ridiculous ($300 last time I paid, just for the battery replacement oil lubricant)

I think I will stick with Citizen Eco Drive and Casio Gshock which never fail on me for year of ownership.

Tissot T-Touch

Tissot has responded to my faulty watch:
Can not repair and only solution is to upgrade to a new watch.
I need to fork out another 50% of their specific " x " model which you can not see in their store?
Questions:
1. Is the brand value roses up another 50%?
I bought the watch at the cost of RM2500 now Tissot ask me to pay another 50% on another watch costing RM3000.
To get the watch the total costing will be RM4000. Do a single piece of watch or the brand value worth so much?
2. The offer piece is their determine piece?
A collector will definitely like to have his choice and the rigidness of Tissot is tantamount force through the customer !
What happen if that watch faulty again? Your piece of watch will be at RM6K assuming their offer you another RM3k per piece.
3. T-Touch faulty mechanism can not be repair and yet introduce into the market?
From here we can conclude that Tissot is out to make money and not willing to do servicing.
With the 3 pointers, I hope those intended investors should be wise enough not to touch the Touch or you will regretted for ever.

Tissot T-Touch Watch

The Tissot T-Touch is dreadful in my opinion.
After the problems I've had with my watch and the cost to fix it just to fail 11.5 month later while I was overseas.
Now they will not honer their warrenty even through I went to a Tissot shop while I was travelling.

All that glitters is not gold..... Buyer beware!
Just google Tissot faults to give you an idea of the problems.

tissot waterproof

I bought a tissot T race chrono, and supposed to be 100 metres water proof, but water has entered the watch somehow and when we wear , vapour appears in the watch and nothing can be seen. When we went to the service center here in Saudi Arabia they are charging us for this by saying its not covered in warrenty, then why do tissot advertise by saying Water Proof 100 metr ?
Let them add on the advertisement saying water proof only for 2 years...

Tissot

Tissot watch is the worse watch I ever owned. I like watches and I owned many different watches from Rolex to Casio. I have a Citizen watch that lased over 20 years in my collection. Of all the watches I owned, Tissot is the worse. I owned a Tissot Touch for around two years when the battery gave up. I sent it to Tissot sales outlet and they told me that they cannot change the battery and I have to send the watch to the service center. I did as they advised. After the service center changed the battery, I wore the watch only once and it died the next day. I suspect that when the service center changed the battery they did not do it properly and send the watch back to check what happened. To my surprise, they send me a bill that is 40% of my purchase price of the watch. I told them they must have done something wrong when they change the battery but this was totally ignored. It is either I pay or take the faulty watch back unrepaired. What is even more surprising is on the repair list I need to change to another new battery. I was warned by friends not to buy Tissot as they always break down but I ignored their advise. Now I have to suffer the consequences. Guess I only have myself to blame. For those who are considering buying a new watch, STAY AWAY FROM TISSOT.

watch dies and service center wants $400

two year old TT, same as all the others are saying, one day after replacing battery, all hell breaks loose, no accurate time or info, hands not working. This has not been abused at all, but Service center says operator abuse, $400 dollars to fix. I guess i will fix it see how long it goes and never, never buy Tissot again, I will also go on a mini quest to tell all my friends how bad this watch and company is.

T-TOUCH model T0914204405100 - LCD problem after purchase less than 24hours

I just purchased a T-TOUCH model T0914204405100 with serial number 2W99SVNZ3 on 27th May. Basically made the payment and collected the watch at about 9pm. Next afternoon I wore the watch around 12pm when going out and found out that there is a black patch at the LCD screen near index 8 around 5pm.
Thus, I went to the shop that I purchase the next day, 29th May and was told that they have to send it to the service center - it's some sort of policy to follow. So instead of having the watch shop to send, I personally took leave and send to the service center myself today, 30th May. To my disappointment, the watch was not replaced immediately. And was told they need to diagnose the watch and only could revert back to me by Friday (2nd June). Technically the watch was purchased less than 24hours and wore around 5hours before the black patch was spotted. And if the watch was knocked or dropped due to my usage, clear scratches, dent or even crack can be easily found.
Common sense can tell clearly that it's a MANUFACTURING DEFECT!!
It is still acceptable if they need to do some diagnosis if there is scratch or dent found on the watch.

TISSOT, a so called over 150years watch maker - really disappoint me big time :-
1) I think quality department needs to improve on their inspection before packing up and ship for sales
2) Ok, Putting quality or bad inspection aside, it might due to transportation or I'm so unlucky or whatsover reason, but the service center or the watch company should replace a new watch immediately instead of having me to wait few days to hear what will they be doing - repair the LCD or replace, etc.
I wanna stress again, it was purchased less than 24hours and I wore it less than 5hours!!!
I really don't mind if it has this defect and got the similar reply from service center if I wore it for like more than 6months or even 3months.

3rd replacement of Tissot Touch

While looking for information for non functioning touch elements (like setting the time) I discovered this site and wish to add that I agree with all the disappointed wearers of the watch. I’ve experienced all the similar excuses from customer service and the factory ... from water exposure (the 2nd replacement watch came to me with a “paper decal on the back of the watch indicating I should not go ‘close to the water’. I agree with those thinking there might be grounds for a class action suit, in the meantime I’m lookimg at my 3rd replacement (I originally bought the watch in Switzerland when it was just introduced and there were waitlists for the watch through Europe). What to do now? Guess my $140.00 LLBean Field Watch is lookimg great, or maybe that Swiss Army Watch I own....I’ve given up in expensive watches .. my Longines can sit in a drawer for all that fancy watches are worth.

tissot t-touch battery contact disintergrated

Tissot T-touch cannot handle heat, humidity and water (even hand washing). My recent trip from Canada to Hawaii proofed that sudden change in temperate causes all the internal battery contacts to break into pieces. when I got a jeweller, Hawaii top watch tissot dealer to open and inspect it. He was shock to find that, cannot be repaired, those contacts has to be soldered on, without them it cannot hold the battery. So do not buy this model, apparently it was mentioned in fine print in the user manual, imagine this Swiss quality is a dud.
