Shockingly poor performance

I agree with the above. They have me no service for a year, then when I tried to cancel they said I had signed up for 2 years (read the small print!) and had to pay them for 2 years.
I have now been told I have to pay them for 3 years because I failed to inform them in writing 30 days before. when I told them i would not be paying them, they said they would pass this on to their legal team.
Has anyone contested them in court?

Shockingly poor performance

I was given an account with switch media for a year which included web space and domain. I had never used this as i found better services else where. I have now received a letter demanding £118 for next year. I phoned them to say that i do not need or use their service and do not want to renew my service. They said i entered into a contract and had to pay. I never received a contract nor accepted any contract. They said its tough you still have to pay and if you dont we will take you to court. I asked for a complaints department and they simply said no, there isnt one, you will just have to pay. DO NOT USE SWITCH MEDIA!!! Scam

Shockingly poor performance

Just had a dispute with Switchmedia after receiving their 2nd year bill and finding that I could not opt out as the small print states that by entering into the initial £5, 12 month agreement, you are in fact commiting to a 2 year minimum contract. This was not evident in the sales documentation and I do not believe that the court would consider such an onerous term can be adequately disclosed through website terms and conditions.

I plan to challenge this in the small court but wonder if anyone has already attempted this?

I would re-iterate that this company operates in a very underhand manner and I would strongly recommend that anyone choosing a domain host look elsewhere.

I agree with you and I think it says everything about the company that they would deliberately hide such a key component in the small print and refrain from mentioning it until after the rollover.

They also do not contact you again until after the 3rd year rollover.

It wouldn't be so bad if they provided a decent service!

Good luck if you do go to the trouble of taking them to court. Perhaps you can try googling to see if anyone else has with this, or a similar company.

company email address not working more then 6 months

I see Im not the only one. I had / still have a problem with them, I bought from them hosting and domain for my company. Everything was ok in the first year. After a year I received like 20 emails with information if I will not pay 150euro for hosting (which i didnt even use) they will shut down my company website. I was pushed to pay it, since then my email address isnt working!!!!! its been like 6 months like this. Im loosing clients, IM LOOSING MY MONEY! I've contacted them and they said :
"Hi Robert,
Please do check with bank as the service has not been paid for, only the domain was paid for. Your account is due in October for renewal. When you can please contact me on 0370 0502520 to make payment.

what is complete BULLSHIT! in reply I showed them my bank statement which SHOWS that the invoice was PAID. in reply from them:
Dear Sir,
Your account has not been blocked or cancelled I have again asked the finance team to look into our banks for the payment and they will come back to me. If you have problems logging into your account or uploading you would need to speak to our support team

BUT MY EMAIL ADDRESS ISNT WORKING STILL. So in the past 6 months I've lost who knows how many clients and how much money!

DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
