TV land USED TO be good

I was playing back some tapes of Cosby, Leave it to Beaver, and other TV land programs recorded 3 years ago. I was appalled how it seemed for every 4 minutes of the show, there was a 6 minute commercial session. Plus the excessive commercials have gotten so out of hand, resulting in two very noticeable changes to their program showing practices. First, they take a 35-40 minute window per show that normally would’ve fit in the traditional half-hour window just to jam more commercials in. Secondly, they edit the show and slice off little tid-bits to reduce the length of show. How do I know this? I first started recording Beaver 13 years ago, when TV land was a better-run network. They played each show in its entirety without duplicitously short-changing the viewer. If you ask me, that is downright CRIMINAL!! Especially given the fact one must PAY big bucks for cable TV; last time I checked, TV land is NOT a broadcast/ antenna channel.
