RUDE BEHAVIOUR / BAD POLICIES

On Saturday April 7 2018 I called in a prescription and was told it would be ready about 3:30. I went in about 5:30 to pick the goods up and was rudely told that I would have to pay for the full prescription even though they could only provide part of the order. (this was after the guy that came to the counter couldn't find my order! (It was the rude woman that found it). I said no...there is another option that I could come back when the order was fully complete and get the entire order then. Once again the comment was "you have to pay for the full order now". I then asked if I do do you give me a receipt or a rain cheque or something to say that I have paid for items that I didn't get and that when I come in the next time, because A when I came in you couldn't even find my order (obviously no real sorting or order system in place) and B what if the next person I deal with a couple days later didn't get the message from you that I am owed the rest of my order? The answer from the guy was. "we don't have anything we can give you for that sir" . My questions here are, Would you pay for a partial order without some kind of confirmation that it is a partial order? Would you like a courtesy call to say , hey....we goofed, we don't have the full order, do you want to pick up part of it? Do you want to wait until it is fulfilled entirely? ( i could have saved a trip in there), Could you not just ring in the partial order? Do your staff not have any business ethics training? Do you not have a decent filing system for orders? Can you not give some kind of documentation of a partial order showing that there are goods yet unfulfilled?

I called into the store on the following Monday to talk to the manager. A woman who answered the call said she wasn't the manager but she might be able to help me. I explained the above, her answer. "I will have the manager call you". Ok...that was a waste of time, not even an acknowledgement or understanding of the complaint registered in her mind. Not even a single response! Wow. I waited a few days for a return call from the Manager. Thursday arrives and I call the store again to get the manager. Kate takes the call. I again repeat myself. Her response. I will find out and call you back. About 4 days later some guy who did not identify himself said that he was calling from Shoppers Drug Mart saying that "I wanted him to call, but he did not know what the call was about" Thanks Kate for briefing this person! My reply was NO I did not want you to call me, I wanted to deal with the store manager assuming that she could be proactive in the matter. I did not call for you, I did not ask you to call me and NO I am not explaining myself again and especially if you are the guy I dealt with in the first place.

It is very obvious that the store manager either can not deal with issues at store level or is incompetent and unqualified to deal with store issues as they arise.
