Faulty Equipment
You neglected to tell us what your contract says about the situation. It sounds like it was an act of God, hence, you are required to fulfill your contract. There isn't much equipment resistant to being hit by lightning. This is more of a faulty review.

Contract
I have faxed and mailed the cancellation a year prior, and they still won't end their contract...
I have recorded the phone call knowing that they knew about the cancellation of their services, and still black mailed and harassed me saying I have good credit.
Well lawyer up SHS I'm coming for PUNITIVE DAMAGE...
