Planet Ford =Horrible Service

The TRUTH about this dealership is BAD...see the truth at:
http://planetford.yolasite.com

Shame on Randall Reed Ford in Humble Texas. This is their work culture of trying to slip in hidden charges and cheat customers. I sent email to the Manager (Kramer), and then talked to the Sales Manager, Anson Jones the next day and he agreed they have problems. They cannot meet their sales quotas because their customers that are paying attention are wise to their inflating the drive out final cost and walk away. Their "Customer Benefits Package" is ALWAYS added to the bottom line without the customers knowledge or consent. Apparently, this "Customer Fleecing Package" is an invention of Randall Reed Ford in Humble, Texas. The internet salesmen are especially unethical and the three below have no business working at any place that values their reputation. They write in all sorts of imaginary charges on the Retail Purchase Agreement and will not explain why they are there. They agree to a sales price and then add charges to the bottom line and try to force the customer to sign.
Since Randall Reed Ford in Humble Texas has such horrible employees and managers, someone at the corporate level should make some personnel changes. Take a close look at their bottom line compared to your other dealerships and I am quite sure you will see their low performance.
Open letter to the manager:
Mr. Kramer (MANAGER), 11-29-2011
Your employees do not stick to there agreements and try to defraud customers. I drove 100 miles all the way from Katy to your Humble store only to be lied to and was being forced to paid a hidden charge of about $1200 more than agreed. Someone over there should be fired. Your staff is awful. The bad sales people are Musa Zayid, Kirk Dudley, someone named Zach (played like he was a sales manager) and one of your managers...maybe Billy Harvey(not sure) ALL these guys made me a promise to sell me : VIN # 3FAHP0HA7CR224386 for a competitive matched price of $18595 +$295 +TTL including adding backup sensors. ALL three of the bad salesmen above swore to me, on the phone, and in email before I drove 100 miles, that we had a deal and that there would be no further price discussion. Before I went to the dealership, I called the main number after Musa Zayid said it was a deal in an email, at $18890, and he agreed he would include the additional backup sensors and I asked to speak to the Sales Manager to confirm the deal. Musa Zayid put someone on the line who said he was the sales manager ( most likely Zach or Dudley) and he confirmed the deal.
When I got there and sat down with Dudley, he started with a 18755 price? and then said the TTL + documentation fee of 149 total additional would be $2651 (should have been closer to $1487), and wanted me to sign a piece of paper agreeing with a total of $21406. He got upset when I ask him how he got the additional $2651 and he said "That was the deal". I told him to show me how he got that $2651 and he said I would see it on the papers when they were drawn up after I signed his paper. They tried to add on and hide the additional $1164 saying it was standard fees!! They knew that they were going to try to pull this trick on me before I ever left home.
I went to the Manager in the main building to talk to the manager on duty. Billy Harvey(not sure), did the same thing, He knew this was a scam and would not give me a break down of the TTL and other charges making up the $2651 add on. The other four supervisory employees sitting at the desk with Billy Harvey were smiling and grinning and chuckling. They all knew this was standard practice of cheating their customers. I wonder how they are going to feel when they get treated the same way. Shame on Randall Reed Ford in Humble Texas. Is this what you want your dealerships known for?

Never going back! I bought a truck here for my husband. My husband discussed the entire deal and since he was working the day I picked it up, I was left to sign all the papers. No problem! Ya think? NOT! I got into the documents office to sign the papers and questioned what the spongey thing was on his desk...A microphone (red flag # 1)...Why? "So when we tell people information about things in the paperwork they can't come back and say they weren't told". Ok...I understand...What is that in the corner of the ceiling?...A camera (red flag # 2)...Why? "So we can identify who was informed about the paperwork"...Starting to sound like they have had a few issues? Ok...Back to the paperwork...I sign it all, not really looking because my husband has already made the deal...What are these?...(red flag # 3) ..."Your coupon book for free things"... Free things? Great! 55, 0000 truck and we get FREE things! ..."Yes, they are coupons for oil changes, alot of different services"...Ok, I live 45 miles away, but we do come this way to visit, so maybe they are useful...I go to get the truck after paperwork and they tell me it is being "etched"...Etched?.."Yes, we etch ALL our vehicles for security measures"...Great! What a fantastic idea! Go home...Husband looks at the papers and blows a 14 carat gasket! What is the 250.00 charge?...COUPON BOOK???? I was led to believe that was free!...What is the 199.00 charge?...ETCHING???? Needless to say...They got a call from my husband who was not as nice as they would have liked...He told them to come over and get the truck...It would be parked outside...They could have it...They ended up, after 48 hours and no money forthcoming from our CU, taking the extra costs off...Oh, by the way, when I left there with the truck I asked if they were going to fill it up and they said that they don't do that...Ok...Now, today is 12-13-2011...My paper plates expired on 11-1-2013...STILL NO TAGS...Yes, they were supposed to be there already and they came in...No, we don't know where they are...Yes, call us back in a week if you haven't seen them...A week later...no tags...Yes, we will have the girl go to the courthouse and get new tags, we will overnight them, you should have them in 2 days...No, the lady that was supposed to overnight your tags has been out sick, you WILL have them by tomorrow afternoon...Ok...Round # 10?...Ding Ding!!! Won't blame Charlene or Ashley...Great girls...WAY TOO EFFICIENT to be tied up with this bunch!...Rating star # 2 is for their efforts alone!...Will NEVER do business with these people again...Would rather ride a Schwinn!

Don't waste your time with Randall Reed Dealerships. I was warned by many but didn't pay attention but everything I was told was RIGHT. I went there to compare deals between three other dealerships I was working with--Gullo Ford, Russell and Smith Ford and Mac Haik. All had the same F250 I wanted to trade my existing F250 for. I informed the salesperson of this and still was presented with an enbarrassing low-ball offer. After spending three hours at the dealership, they still wasn't at what the other dealers were willing to offer. Why? Well Randall Reed dealerships are notorious for adding crap you don't need to new vehicles, forcing you to buy it. The truck I looked at had nitrogen filled tires, some kind of treatment on the glass, and some other things I don't need totally $2000. In the end, that very $2000 was the deal breaker because that's how much they were off coparing to other dealers. I told them, but they didn't care. Don't believe the hipe that "nobody beats a Randall Reed deal" BECAUSE THEY DO. Next day I took delivery of my new truck from Mac Haik. A follow up call was made the following day from Randall Reed trying to lure me in once again. When I told the man who called what happened, he still tried to convince me that I needed the crap they added. Needless to say I dropped the "I already bought somewhere else" and then I wasn't important. I purchased new vehicles in the area from Weisner, Russell and Smith and now Mac Haik and all three are reputable where you can get good deals. Randall Reed Ford is a joke!!! Worst dealership I have ever been too or dealt with and I buy every two years so I've done this a lot. Just don't waste your time. They are more interested in selling you the crap they add to their new vehicles rather than the product itself. STAY AWAY FROM RANDALL REED DEALERSHIPS UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE A SUCKER!!!

Yes!! I had a similar experience in Jan 09. Patrick, one of the used car salesmen and Chris Griffin of finance both were extremely eager to convince me that my loan was approved and to allow me to drive off the lot. However, in the next few days they claimed to bank wanted further verifications of employment...YADA YADA... and I was required to give them more information. I then found out the salesman, Patrick, with my license in his face, had incorrectly written my name on the credit application to the bank. I did a car fax on the VIN and found out the car was a prior Hertz rental car, not the Executive Program car they had supposedly sold me. After promises that they were going to find a bank that would finance me and weeks of renegotiating the price, I was force to return the vehicle. When I asked for my 1500 downpayment back, they had the gall to tell me they would only return a little more than 800 due to a $25/day car possession fee and mileage fees. Needless to say I am speaking with counsel now. I have also informed my bank of their fraudulent practices. I believe, in this slow economy, this dealer resorts to these tactics in order to generate income either way (approved loan or usage fees). This is the absolute worst purchasing experience I have ever had and will make sure no one purchases from them if I can help it.

P.S. I have since purchased elsewhere without any of these road bumps

I HAD A PROBLEM WITH PLANET FORD 59 TOO, BUT WITH THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT MANAGER JEFF STAPP- REMEMBER THAT NAME BECAUSE I HAD HEARD THAT HE FLOATS FROM DEALER TO DEALER. MY PROBLEM WAS I FOR OVER A YEAR HAVE HAD MY F350 DIESEL SERVICED THERE AND NEVER HAD A PROBLEM, BUT FOR THE PAST COUPLE OF MONTHS THAT JEFF STAPP CAME IN IT SEEMS LIKE MY TRUCK LIVES THERE AND WILL NEVER RUN RIGHT AGAIN. I HAVE BETTER LUCK DOING IT MYSELF IT WOULD BE THE SAME. I DO NOT ADVISE FOR ANYONE TO GET THIER VEHICLES SERVICED THERE AS LONG AS JEFF STAPP IS MANAGER AND HIS PEOPLE ARE THERE. IF RANDALL IS SMART HE WOULD DO THE SAME AS LONE STAR FORD DID. AS I CAN SEE THE SALES DEPARTMENT IS NO BETTER WHAT DOES THAT SAY ABOUT THE GENERAL MANAGER, MAYBE DO YOUR JOB INSTEAD OF RUNNING A ZOO

Andrew Kodak was a great guy to do business with. He helped me get my winch in my jeep and also gave me tips to take care of it.

I took my car in this morning to check brakes - had an 8 am service appt., they came back with the usual air filter is dirty and you need a throttle body cleaning yada yada, but when noon rolled around and finally they tell me the brakes needed new pads I hit the roof - I just replaced the brakes on my 2009 Journey in Sept. of 2009 with rotor work and the service manager told me the pads I bought were life time warranty. Fast forward to Sept. 2010 - now the pads I had are not life time warranty, and the service manager no longer works there so they won't honor his mistake. I was so livid, I'm standing there telling my husband on the cell what happened and a man standing next to me tells me he brought his truck in this morning for his oil change and alignment / rotation and when he left and got on the feeder - his wheel fell off cause they didn't put the lug nuts back on.

Um - WTF man get serious! I will not buy a car or service my car here ever again.

In regards to the complaints about the service department, I have had a few bad run ins with some of the advisors. But, it seems everytime I go in there there is a new advisor to assist me and so I wipe the slate clean and give them another chance. Grave mistake! Except for one guy, KC Mings. He has been there for awhile I have noticed but he always was to busy to greet me. Except for my last visit when it looked like they were not very busy. He came out and greeted me with such kindness and splendour! It was just an oil change visit but he made me feel like I W's a VIP. From now on I will always ask/wait for him! Incredible service man! And he has a super cute little boy! I suggest him to all my friends even if they don't own a Ford. KC will take care of them!

I also had a bad experience with Planet Ford 59, what should have been a plesant experience turned out to be extremely stressful. I saw a car on autotrader for under $9000 but when i went in, they went up $2000 on the car because i was not paying cash. My question is even if I was being financed, doesn't that mean they are getting their money up front from the financing company? So why did they have to go up on the price? In addition to which it took them 30+ days to replace a leaking windshield. The finance manger (Ruel) was the worst. He call me almost 2 weeks after the car was purchased because he needed additional documents, even though the contract had been "finalized". He further stated that if i did not comply that they would pick up the vehicle and charge me for days and mileage. His sales manger (Stuart) was just as bad. Their first choice was to threatened and take the car, even though i never refused to bring in additional documents even though they kept telling me the contract was finalized. For anyone who has problems, write Ford Motor Corporation and the Texas Attorney General, Consumer Protection division, and protect their practices to them. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER CAR FROM THIS DEALER, ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS DEPLORABLE!!!
