Scam

All the above confirms my concerns. I have been playing for several months now as being lead to the site by face book. I am a monthly billed player. No bonus chips as promoted for monthly membership. :( The poker hands are much as described by the other players, they all spoke the truth about the obvious playing out of the good vs the trash hands. It is not random generated, but a program that is predictable, the skill here is to figure out the opposite of what you would do in live poker play. Honestly, that is the pattern. The BOGO chip promotions are only about 60% deliverable, the other 40% is the computer generated customer service responses. I am thinking of cancelling the membership at this time. I refuse to be subjected to being scammed. It's a shame, good concept, but the "bluff" play is the norm for this sites credibility. Being the you are constantly on guard for the "smoke and screen" scam. What you see is not for real. I'm going to try and find another online site for tournament play. It's a shame I have 9 entries into the semi finals for the 10K seat...guess I'll have to win my next trip like I did the last in a real casino.

Scam

I've played on PUREPLAY for approx. 4 years and won fairley consistently ... even winning the 1 year free membership twice. You need extreem patience and have to get away from the idea of taking a chance just because it's not real money. If anything... at the earley part of the game, the big winners seem to be the red players. I don't know if that is just my perception or reality [ I do check a lot of ratings]. I can't think of why else they would have ratings. Still with that being said... even though I haven't had to pay the last couple of years, my winnings have been way above the monthly fee I would've have payed. It's true... I've seen many more suckouts than in live play. But again, these players are not using their own money and the action online is much quicker... therefore many more hands are played than in live play. Plus, if you are anything like me... I seem to remember the bad beats more and longer than when " the shoe was on the other foot ".

Scam

Pure Play is a joke. I don't know why they can't just let the software deal the cards randomly and let the players play. The rewards for the reckless and clueless players has to be part of their business model of "there is no such thing as a free lunch". I keep playing just to pass the time but it sure would be a lot more fun and rewarding if they didn't have their hand in the way the cards are dealt. If there was a legal premise to sue them for fraud, I would consider it.

Random card generator not so random

I've been playing at Pure-Play for almost two years. After my initial trial membership, my odds of winning really dropped except when they tried to bait me with another trial membership. The lst six months I've been keeping track of odds and cards played on a program a friend of mine made(Yes, he's a programmer for a large company). For example, with nine players the odds of hitting a flush with four suit cards at the flop is about once in 8 hands, I average hitting the fifth suit card once in 47 hands. The odds of hitting a straight being open-ended on the flop are about once in six or seven hands, I average once in 39 hands. So far,in the last six months, I've had a straight at the turn twelve times. In eight of those times, I was outdrawn at the river when it dropped the highcard of the straight again. Example; I hold 5-J, the cards fall 7,9,8,10. Giving me a jack high straight. The river would drop another Jack and the guy playing me would have the next higher card, a Queen. Almost in every instance, the person holding the Queen or, higher card, was a Player's Club member. I don't even play pocket-pairs anymore as the odds of me hitting a third card for three of a kind are around once in 38 hands, two pair is slightly lower at once in 17 hands but, almost always another is holding a higher pair.

It's a real shame too as I enjoy playing Texas-hold-Em and used to enjoy Pure-Play. Now, I only play once in a while to see what new ways they come up with to cheat me.

script error problems

I have played on PurePlay poker (PP) for 8 years. I am an 85 yr old indigent that uses this as my recreation. I am constantly bombarded with script error msgs, and only on this website and now its so bad it locks me out and I cannot get back in the game so am consistently losing. I have contacted many inc PP but they just ignore me and literally 100's of other suggestions but all to no avail. I even paid $300 to a pro who put it back to factory :(Windows 7 home program). I have Vipre and AVG installed. I am pc dumb but would sure appreciate anyone who could fix this for me. Tried all suggestions but nothing. My pro even downloaded on his pc for he and his wife and they got same problem. Was told it was because I had IE and its not compatible with PP. tried other browsers nothing. Was told I had corrupt register, script, driver. etc etc. Is there any solution????????
