Hotel Booking

I recently booked a room through Prestigia.com for a holiday in Vietnam. I payed a deposit for the room and was sent a booking confirmation from Prestogia.com to say that the remainder of the balance for my stay would be paid during my time in the hotel.
However, a week before I was to fly out, the Hotel went ahead and removed the remainder of the balance from my account without authorisation and in clear breach of the terms of the booking. I called Prestigia about this and they in turn contacted the Hotel, who eventually confirmed by email that this is a prepayment for my room. This is of course not accurate as I had already made a prepayment em through Prestigia for the room. I have called Prestigia numerous times to try and resolve this issue and have found them to be most unhelpful and at times quite rude and almost hostile to speak to.
This company is clearly a scam and I would strongly urge anyone thinking of booking online through them to do otherwise. They have already cost me a lot of money and distress.

As mentioned by our Customer Service, the hotel received your credit card details on the 20th August 2015 as a guarantee, as per the cancellation policy below:

Cancellation policies & fees for Delight Ocean View Suite - Flexible Rate :
Before Thursday 20 August 2015: Free cancellation.
From Thursday 20 August 2015 to Sunday 23 August 2015: 50% of the total amount of your stay will be charged to your credit card.
From Monday 24 August 2015 to arrival date: 100% of the total amount of your stay will be charged to your credit card.
In case of no-show: 100% of the total amount of your stay will be charged to your credit card.

In this case the hotel verified your card only tey didn't charge you. The card verification is for booking guarantee only in case you cancel booking within the period of time cancelation charge is applied or no shown reservation, as explained by the hotel.

Upon your request, the hotel cancelled the verification.

We would like to apologize for any inconveniences caused, and Prestigia offers you a 5% discount for your next booking.
