Failed on all counts

My follow up to the above. Well Xmas came and went, as did the New Year, and still no sign of a reply from Prestige Slate, nor indeed the now unwanted slate sign. Commenced resolution through Paypal and eventually learned that a full refund had been made.(Paypal just said matter was closed, I had to check my Paypal account to see why) Later discovered what I regarded as a snidy comment about enjoying both the sign and a refund.(Still hadn't received the sign. On 9th Jan found an email dated the previous evening. It contained very suspect allegation of attempted delivery (what courier doesn't leave a note saying they had tried to deliver) and advising they would be delivering next morning. Also a very offensive remark quote "Also just a note that if you have tried to speak to your credit card company/paypal to recover funds you would have to stop this as if we receive a chargeback the sign would either be a) returned to us or b) if it has been delivered then the case would automatically be passed on to our debt collectors". Well what decent company includes such a comment when advising of a delivery? Later than promised, on 11th Jan, a courier attempted to deliver a package from Prestige Slate- it was refused. It seemed very light for what it should contain (how thin are the signs?)
Anyway, thats about it except to say that they have been told that if they do think I owe them then they should take me to court.-but they still don't reply
If customers with a problem are in the UK I urge them to contact the local trading standards office at Bridgend - they seem very helpful ;-) :-) ;-)

Prestige Slate

A house sign orfdered and paid for on 1st November 2011.
It never arrived, despite promises of delivery pre Xmas.
Not one answer to many,many phonre calls and emails.
No explanations/apologies etc.
I'm claiming through Paypal asap.
Total rubbish company with not one jot of consideration for their customers...unless they're well known celebrities or other VIPs

Oh how true is all this it is like reading my story but glad i have read it as am now about to post my comments in resolution paypal thing too i got that same email with the rude dont try to get money back or will pass to debt collect and to had it sent in the evening of the 8th and that they had tried to deliver on 23rd but had a problem and had reshipped still no sign ordered it on 14/12/11 crazy. Glad you got refund hope i am as lucky

Well had the same trouble with an order placed on 20 November, it has been exhausting and distressing, however the plaque has now arrived 23 January and it is really lovely, just what we wanted. What a real shame that I had to send so many emails, (no answers) so many telephone calls, which from beginning of November until mid January, consisted of answering machine and so many phone calls to my credit company. The company can obviously produce good quality items but have not got their customer service right. I suspect the Director is trying to do everything. I would love to order more signs but can't go through that again. Real shame. Just happy I finally received my order.

No sign!

Well, what can I say. I ordered a sign on 13th March, and was told it would be delivered within 7 working days. Well it wasn't, and Prestige Slate won't answer my phone calls or e mails. Having read the notes from other folks on this site it seems I'm not on my own. anyway my next step is a call to trading standards in Bridgend, and a small claim in the County Court. What a rogue set of operators! Be warned.

No house sign

I have just read the above comments, I only wish I had read them before placing an order.I placed the order on Jan.25th 2012 , money was taken out of my account Jan. 26th 2012, with a promise of a delivery by the end of the week. I am still waiting despite 11 emails to Prestige slate and very little communication, with no explanations as to the delay. Having read the above I shall be contacting the local trading standards office.

no receipt of sign although money taken

Order house sign on 10th March getting a little worried by 20th when no sign of sign as we were moving house weekend of 24th. Phoned, left message no response; phoned again spoke to a guy who said been having some supply problems but definitely be with me by 24th. Nothing came phoned left message no response; sent email saying not happy and got a rather brusque response saying they would take 15 working days to complete and dispatch order and they resented my implication that their service wasn't good! I explained in another email I had moved house so they offered to send sign to new address. Nothing came; emailed again and again still no response so now contacting PayPal to get my money refunded. However beautiful the sign may be, I will not recommend or use them again.

Still no sign and money taken

This looked like one of the more reputable sites when I was looking for a sign for my brother as a present. Got the confirmation proof early March saying the money has been taken and delivery could be expected within 5 working days. After numerous emails (no response) and phone calls (no answer), I am now going to try to resolve via Paypal. Absolutely fuming with this Company and wish I had seen the complaints before placing my order! They shouldn't be allowed to get away with this!

No sign, took payment twice

No contact from company, no replies to email or telephone.....system showed failed payment and so did transaction again only to see that two amounts had been taken.....not managing to get my money back at moment.....don't order from them....I'm going to try Sage pay to get my money back

non delivery, money taken

Ordered house sign on April 20th from Prestige Slate, Bridgend, money taken by Sage Payment on same day. Now June 24th, still no delivery. No response to multiple telephone calls as well as emails. Although fancy wording in their mission statements, and in response to enquiries,Sage is completely useless " nothing to do with us" they state! Wondering if Prestige Slate actually exists or whether web scam. Whatever, leave this lot well alone. Next stop, Bridgend Trading Standards, lets hope that works.

Prestige Slate

Very similar experience including the story about the courier - I was told that I had actually signed for the goods!!!!!! I had been recommended this company by my friend who is a designer , she had had no probl;ems but I have warned her about the poor service. On the plus side I do have signs and on set of stakes but am saying goodbye to the money for the second set of stakes ordered. Do not use this company.

Lack of communication and delivery

More of the same from my experience I'm afraid. Missed deadlines, lack of response to emails etc. I did actually receive a plaque but I hadn't been sent the design to approve (as promised) so the size and font were all wrong. I'm afraid I'm just too busy to constantly chase but my advice would be to steer well clear

Prestige Slate, Money taken & No sign!

This company is absolute rubbish...I have tried and tried to contact them by telephone - no reply! However, I have had a reply by e-mail. Money has been taken from my account, so after a few weeks I started to get a bit worried as the sign was not forth coming. I e-mailed to find out when I could expect delivery and was told that they had sent it by courier but it got damaged in transit so to expect a replacement within 7 days. Here we are weeks later and still no sign!

Incomplete order

I received the sign sevaeral months ago but without the slate stakes. Numerous attempts to contact Prestige Slate by phone and email met with no response. Last week I wrote to them giving NOTICE BEFORE PROCEEDING which I sent by recorded delivery. This was returned by Royal Mail this morning stating that the c ompany is no longer at this address. Future purchasers should look elsewhere.

No Sign

Much the same as all the other complaints I'm afraid - shame I didn't see these reviews first.
Ordered sign, received proof, spoke to Prestige Slate, made payment, no sign, sent emails, received email saying sorry will be sent this week, no sign, no response to calls or emails, etc,etc.
Spoke to bank (First Direct) who returned money.
N.B. Prestige Slate do have the right to dispute with the bank why I am having the money returned, so I will have to wait and see if they try to.

My suggestion as all the rest, DO NOT UST THIS COMPANY!

If your order was made over the internet via Amazon, PayPal, debit or credit card etc. You should be able to get your money back via that payment company.

Non delivery

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I'm kicking myself as I usually check companies out before ordering, why I didn't this time I really don't know. Anyway, just as all the other reviews state; the only contact I have had was for the initial proof/order. Since then I have not been able to contact them either by phone or email after placing the order in July! I have reported them to Trading Standards and would urge anyone else to do the same. I also sent a recorded delivery letter to them which was returned with a mark from the Post Office stating company not present at this address! This company need shutting down as they are simply con-men. I am currently attempting to claim through my credit card - fingers crossed.

No Sign - but money gone.

Fast enough to take the money but the sign never arrived. Weeks of email transfers and blame put on the courier. In the end I contacted Bridgend Trading Standards who recommended I write saying that I would recover the money if the goods were not supplied within 14 days. As the sign still never arrived I contacted my bank (I paid by visa DEBIT card) and managed to get the money back in days using "VISA charge back". see http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/visa-mastercard-chargeback for more details. NO SIGN - NO REPLY. MONEY TAKEN

I had made the mistake of ordering a sign back in May from this company. After a month later I finally was told it was being dispatched but it never was. I have called and left various messages and sent emails but there have been no reply's. I have now been in contact with my credit card to retrieve my money and I have also lodged a complaint with trading standards. Whats even more of a joke is that I wrote to them from a different email address posing as new business and they replied within 30 minutes. These people are disgusting and have no shame or morals. Avoid them at all costs.
