Bankruptcy attorney
I am not sure who is posting the positive comments but I am here to tell you this firm SUCKS!!!.. they do not return phone calls, hang up on you, and lie to you. I have had nothing but problems with them. They are so busy you are only a number, I have been told "I am too busy to deal with you now" Heaven forbid if you should question anything they are doing, Using them was the worst thing I could have ever done. I set up a appointment with Mr. Ostling to complain.. he listen, but made no effort to apologize or ask what he could do to make things better. DO NOT USE THIS FIRM!!! If you talk to "real" people who have used them you will hear the truth.. not the crap on here!!

Refund
My name is Brittany Perry and I had my initial meeting with Adam Becker in the Pekin office several months ago. I spoke with him in regards to filing bankruptcy and I gave him a check in the amount of $300.00. Since then, I have not had any other appointments with him and I have made the decision NOT to file bankruptcy. I have called the Pekin, IL. office several times requesting that someone call me in regards to my situation. I have been told to leave my name and contact information and someone would contact me. I had to call there about 5 or 6 times before someone finally called me back. At this point in time, it was the last week of March, I was told that I was in the system and approved for a refund of my $300.00. I would hope that I was approved since this law firm has done NOTHING for me. I was told that the refunds are mailed out at the end of the month and the beginning of the month. Here it is now the 8th of April and I still have NOT received my refund for $300.00. I am in desperate need of this money right now because my hours at work have been cut and I am not able to pay my car payment. I was given wrong afbice and illegal advice by the attorney which I was informed on my 2nd apt they I would not transfer any property out of my name. I saw a assistant fir 15 min and paid my fee after her advice and cobtacti g the BOB and a free consultation w another attorney they0 said I should be entitled to a full refund since I decided not to risk losing my property. I have been trying g to get avrefund for 3 months and continue to be given different storied by every one I speak with. I ref my refund so test I can pay my bills and since I currently have no income. I feel I have been given the run around and bee g punished because I asked for my card to be stopped. I know that not much work was done since my consultation was free and one spot with the legal aid wad 15 min and my paperwork was nit left because I had not completed it so what could I have money bee g deducted when there was nit work to b done. I have been told 3 months now it was bee g audited and dent out and by others that it was already sent. I have the folder with the attorneys handwritten info he supplied for me to get and complete to turn my house over to my sister. This is illegal and therefore if I had taken his advice I would be without a home and this would be devastating. I simply wanted a full refund fir the improper advice I wad given and decided nit to continue filing. I would think that my 1100 would nit make or break them since they claim to do such a good business however why us there so many refunds? I guess there are many unsatisfied clients. I explained I have no income and need my money returned to eat and pay my mortgage and bills. They don't seem to carat all. I get a different story every time I call. I would line to have my full refund at this point since I still have all my paperwork that was nit completed and the wrong legal advice given to me. I am considering a complaint with the BOB and seeking another attorney to ask fir my full refund and damages. Anyone else seem to have this problem or any suggestions. Thank you.
