Offended

I recently adopted a dog from my local humane society, which included 6 weeks of free pet insurance from this company. This is a great thing. You have to call a number, with a number (provided by the humane society) within a week of the adoption.

I didn't realize once I called that the company would attempt to sell me more insurance. Just stupidity on my part, really. It is Insurance after all.

Anyhow, I declined any additional Insurance. I was taken aback when the phone operator came right out and asked me WHY I was not getting insurance for my pet. As far as I'm concerned, it's none of her business, and the condescending tone she used with me was uncalled for.

I work in the customer service industry and if I spoke to a client or customer in the tone she used with me, I would be reprimanded. I found it rude and insulting.
