Scams, Unprofessional behavior

I too am also interested in a class action suit against Green Tree. My loan was transfered to Green Tree from BOA back in August. Since being with them, I have had the worst experience ever. I am so done with this company!!!

Scams, Unprofessional behavior

IN AUGUST 2011 BANK OF AMERICA SOLD MY MORTGAGE TO GREEN TREE SERVICING. I HAVE ALWAYS PAID MY MORTGAGE ON THE 15TH OF EVERY MONTH DUE TO THE WAY I GET PAID. I GET PAID ON THE 1ST AND 15TH OF EVERY MONTH. I ALSO HAVE MY CAR PAYMENTS AND OTHER DEBIT THAT I CAN’T CHANGE FROM MY 1ST PAY CHECK OF THE 1ST OF THE MONTH. I HAVE EXPLAINED THIS TO THEM OVER AND OVER. I HAVE A 15 DAY GRACE PERIOD STARTING FROM THE FIRST OF EACH MONTH. NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH COUNTRY WIDE, WELLS FARGO, OR BANK OF AMERICA. STARTING SINCE SEPT 1, 2011 GREEN TREE REPEATEDLY CALLS WITH A VERY AGGRESSIVE ATTITUDE AND THEY PULL MY CREDIT REPORT UP TO TELL ME ABOUT ALL MY HISTORY DEBIT. I BELIEVE THEY HAVE NO RIGHT TO DISCUSS TO ME ABOUT MY HISTORY. I BELIEVE ARE DISCUSSION SHOULD STRICTLY BE ON MY MORTGAGE WITH THEM. THE NAME CALLING OF BEING A LATE BILL PAYER IS GETTING TIRED SOME. JUST RECENTLY DEC 21, 2011 I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM GREEN TREE SAYING THAT THEY HAVEN’T RECEIVED MY December PAYMENT. I TOLD THEM AS ALWAYS I SEND MY PAYMENT ON THE 9TH SO I KNOW IT WILL BE THERE FOR THE 15TH. THE GUY ON THE PHONE CALLED ME AN LAIR AND SAID HOW CAN I BELIEVE A LATE BILL PAYER LIKE YOU. I SAID EXCUSE ME, BUT I CHECK MY BANK ACCOUNT AND IT DIDN’T GO THROUGH YET. BUT IF I PAY BY PHONE WILL YOU STILL CASH MY CHECK THAT I KNOW THAT I SENT OUT. THE GUY SAID YES I WILL. I TOLD HIM THAT I’M NOT PAYING YOU UNTIL I FIND OUT WHERE MY CHECK WENT. OF COURSE THE NEXT DAY MY CHECK WAS CASHED. I BELIEVE THEY HELD MY CHECK TO RECEIVE ANOTHER PAYMENT FOR ME. TO MAKE THIS ANY BETTER THEY SAY I’M ALWAYS LATE BECAUSE I PAY WITHIN MY GRACE PERIOD BUT I STILL TILL THIS DAY WITH THEM I HAVEN’T RECEIVED ANY LATE CHARGES OR A LETTER SAYING I’M BEHIND MY MORTGAGE. BETTER YET THEY SEND ME MY BILL THROUGH THE MAIL AND MY MORTGAGE STATEMENT SHOWS I OWE TWO PAYMENTS, WITHOUT ANY LATE CHARGE FEES. WHEN I LOOK ONLINE AT MY MORTGAGE ACCOUNT WITH GREEN TREE ONLINE AND IT SHOWS THAT I AM NOT LATE AND I’M UP TO DATE ON MORTGAGE. I SENT A COMPLAINT EMAIL TO BETTER BUSINESS BERAU YESTERDAY 01/16/12. I NEED HELP TO GET AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE BEFORE THEY RUIN MY CREDIT THAT I’M FINALLY GETTING MY CREDIT SCORE UP. PLEASE HELP.

I also would like added if it is not too late I will mail you a letter containing everything that has gone on the past 3 months. Basically the ended up putting my checking account in the negative by almost 800$. Now they are threatening to take our home! Thank you Jennifer OKC, OK

Totally Incompetent!!!

They are totally incompetent. For some reason the refuse to pay my taxes even though I pay monthly to my escrow account. I'm absolutely livid.

unprofessional behavior

I am a homeowner in Wisconsin, my husband is unemployed but diligently seeking employment, I am disabled due to a seizure disorder & a broken back. My husband receives $363/week unemployment & I receive my disability payment on the 3rd Wednesday of every month. Our mortgage payment is due on the 1st but not late until the 15th of the month. Last Saturday, on the 10th of March, a representative phoned our home at 8:15 am & spoke with my husband to remind him our payment had not been received yet (we knew this) She wanted to do a check over the phone & he told her "no" because the last time we did that they took the money out of our bank account before they said they were going to causing an overdraft. She told him they play hardball & force people like us out of our home. We have kept every promise & have caught up on all past due payments plus late fees. We receive hang up phone calls from Green Tree multiple times a day. When they create overdraft fees on our checking account, they're not wiling to pay the overdraft fees they incur. but they don't mind charging late fees to someone in financial duress. I have worked in credit & collections for a large utility company before & would never dream of treating a consumer like they do.

Rude service

My husband is unemployed but diligently seeking employment, I am on disability. Our payment is due on the 1st of the month but not late until the 15th of the month. Last Saturday on the 10th, a representative from Greentree phoned our home at 8:15am & wanted to do a payment over the phone. When my husband explained to her we wouldn't do that until the money is in the account, she said "we play hardball & force people like you out of your home". He told her the last time we did payment before we had the money in our account, they removed the money from our account causing an overdraft which GreenTree of course, is unwilling to pay. They don't have a problem charging us late fees we can't afford though.
So now we're paying overdraft & late fees. GREAT!
We have kept every promise in the past & have paid every payment we were behind on. Green Tree phones our home several times a day & when we answer the phone, they hang up wothout saying anything. Very annoying.

unprofessional service

This company is very unprofessional and have awful customer service. I used their services for several years and they were calling me even if I for one day late with payment. More that this they were calling to my neighbours, relatives etc. There was also no help from them with documentation when I get divorced.

They won't stop harrassing me!

They have been harrassing me for a month! And they are threatening me that I will be banned! I have always been paying my mortgage right on time. But they have added a sum of money to my “bill”! I have to pay double now! How do I resolve this??? HELP!

won't leave us alone

We’ve had difficulties in the past so we were late with paying for our mortgage. This company won’t let us live peacefully after that. they are calling us all the time asking for money and threatening us.

GreenTree

My BoA loan was sold to Greentree. I followed payment instructions sent to me from Greentree on how to make my 1st payment. The paperwork stated to use your old BoA account no. if you had not received a new one from GreenTree, and the payment would be applied to the new account. I sent the check on March 30. They cashed it on April 10 and have yet to apply it to my account. Strange thing is, they were able to do the May payment correctly. I was treated incredibly rudely when I called about it. I called back and spoke to someone who was helpful. Said she found the check and would have to send an email about it?? I received a call at work last week from GreenTree collections saying I was behind. I explained the situation to him. He went to customer service, said the April ck would be applied by May 28. We will see. I am currently going through a refinance to get away from this company. They seem unable to do simple accounting. I am going to a 10yr loan even though my mortgage would have been paid off in 5 yrs. But after reading all the complaints about Greentree....I do not trust them. I am surprised, not then not surprised, that Fannie mae/ fed. gov. or the state atty. office hasn't stepped in as there a years of complaints about this company for incorrect accounting and harassment of consumers

Terrible transition and professionalism

Upone the transition between the two institutioins, First of all there were new fees for paying your bill on line now as well as talking with a human. For those who try to save every way possuble this was a slap in the face. Sure we could always mail the payment months in advance and avoid this . Ya right who has the ability to do this anymore its always down to the wire but for 20 plus years always there for them.

Then Green tree decided that they are going to contact me every day even though its within my grace period to ask me when I am going to make my payment. Its funny I never had to be contacted to make my payment before so I let them know that whom ever they have contact me they should put a note in my file that if they call my cell phone that they will have one very opissed off individual respond. If my house is on fire call the fire departmentment but dont ever (ever) contact me on my cell you do not have my permission to use it. This is for business that makes the money to pay this bill.

The worst transition I have ever been subject to I'm sure they are working very hard for the extra $12 a month they charge me to give them my money. They are working had antagonizing the people who they need the most.
