OTR DRIVER WANNABES
Rolling Thunder, you have been a trucker for a long time. You are old as dirty and that is a way of life for you.. Remember you are going to be to old to drive soon, Therefore, the next generations of drivers need to be trained and trained with honesty and with a caring company. Not a company that is about banking off the trainer. I have to agree with Ronnie get your head out of the hole thunder and know that Used to be truckers were respected and respectful. All I am saying is CRST Recruiters are lying to people. They are getting them to their schools and if for whatever reason they do not like you or want you they will STRAND you there. They are not telling the people the truth. U talking about some young kids going away from home and is stranded to get back home on their own. Not to mention people with familes and who may have a family Emergergency at home and need to get back home. They will strand you. CRST even lied about feeding luch to their trainees once they got to their school. At least the one in IOWA. Therefore, why lie to a person, what is it that you really after money from the GOV or from the person you have lied to? They really did not appear they was interesting in maken sure you were ready to become a wonderful truck driver as yourself. As you stated you worked for them when they were Malone. Did they have a name change or did they Malone sell out? Perhaps when you were with Marlone they were good to their drivers. We are living in a different time now. The world is about GREED. the people that are truly being prade upon the most is the UNEMPLOYED. There are day to day SCAMS out there. CRST proved to be one of them.

Recruiting Lies
How sad. my friend, is on his way back from there as I type this. We have a family Emergency at home and was told before he left out that if any such thing occur they would get him back home. It happen and was told by his recruiter Sarah S that he had to find his own way home. Mind you in their paper work it states they are about family.. Family comes first. They are a family run business. Your poor husband.. I know you were worried sick. As I am about my situation. He is oh his way home thank God. After that experience, he will not be returning to CRST. DID I mention they lied also about feeding him lunch. Thank God again I packed him enough food for two weeks. Other wise he would had gone hungry. I Thank God for bringing CRST to the light. To leave people Stranded is awful. Heck Inmates get a ride home from Prison.. We are talking about people who went there to hopefully bring more revenue to the CRST. DID your husband get hit with all of their charges while he was waiting to make money himself?

WOW ! Today is Jan 10, 2012 some of these comments are two and three years old.. This has been going on for a while. And it is all making sense now.. Are you guys saying They have been doing this since Obama passed that create jobs act or whatever it is.. I have to agree with WordOmouth82 something needs to be done.. We all have similar complaints What I do not like is the fact that those Recruiters tell you all kinds of lies over the phone. Then once you get there it is a different story..No one remember telling you anything. I have posted what happen on my experience with CRST and it is a very similar one. They left me stranded when I had a family Emergency at home.. Guess they were angry they was not able to push me through 28 days and gain whatever money they are suppose to gain off of me. In Cedar Rapids IA there are other that are done with their CDL and are just sitting there waiting on what they call phase III. in the mean time CRST is stacking dollars up against them. When they do take a OTR run they will be in debt to them. Therefore, still not really bring in a decent income. WOW!!! CRST is burning the candle from both ends.

Recruiting Lies
crst sent me to albany ga for a wk refresher course never told me i was going anywhere else. recruiter said she asked if had any misdeamnors or felonies. never asked that or told me i was leavin georgia. get to cedar rapids 2days into orientation said they found a felony. said you aint found no felony but do have misdemeanors. wanted the dates an how do you remember 15 to 20 yrs back at age 47?well they said were parting ways now an left me stranded an im from florida.now live in a homeless shelter cause they didnt do a background check.no arrest in 12yrs so you figure this out an tell me this is a good company to work for.if you say they are you lost your mind.

My experience at CRST was very horrible! The only thing I benefits out of it was my CDL, because it wasn't the pay, it wasn't the miles, and it wasn't the great dispatch. I mean the only reason I stick it out because I was under a contract! The thing that got to me, you out here working your ass off for these people and they cant get you home when you want to! Then you on the dam truck with a co- driver, ( THEY DON"T GAVE A F )! I mean I went home on my home time that Sunday morning around 3:00am that morning, when I suppose to be home that Saturday! Came home, my home time ended that Monday after I was suppose to be back on the truck! Come to found out that the truck had to go in the shop to get fix, wishing it been in the shop that Monday morning! Monday pass, Tuesday pass, Wednesday pass, Thursday pass, so I call my dispatch and asked him what's going on, is am getting paid for sitting home when my home time was up every since Monday! My dispatch told me that I couldn't get paid because am sitting home. Now you know that some bull shit. He know dam well my home time was up since Monday! Its not my problem they gave you these dam regally ass trucks! That weekend came and am still sitting home, and what made me so shit because when the truck was finish that Monday after noon, he couldn't even bring me the dam truck because he said that he was to tier and he had a job interview that next morning, so basely am waiting around for my dam co driver to. See people these are the things you have to be dealing with. Don't get enough mile, and then you splitting that, cant get home, you have to deal with your co drivers! Man I was almost to the point I almost lost my house, bills wasn't getting paid like they suppose to. The whole time I was working for CRST I haven't brought my self nor my kids any clothing because I wasn't making anything! The little bit that I did I had to pay my dam bills out of that. Man these people is full of it. It would be best you get your license from someone else, and go work for a company you can drive so low and a company that can pay you more miles with out splitting it My check never been no more the $500. CRST you all need to do better, you all don't gave a dam about the people that work they ass for you all

For what I heard from one of the trainer at Kirt Wood, One of the guys told me that the way CRST operate, they tell you all kinds of lies on the phone! Mind now, when you talk to your recruiter the SAY they check your background, Reference, last Jobs and all those other things they said they need before they can pre hirer you over the phone! Yeah they will send you a bus ticket that very next day. You make it through the school and go through orientation and then you found out you have to get sent home because of your background. Mind now they say they check all that stuff over the phone. They this trying to get you in there because I heard that for each student they get money. $5000 for the males and $8000 for the females from the governor You go through there 2 WEEKS school, because the first week of school, you just studying for you pre trip, and in cab and shit like that, One day of teaching Maps, One day of teaching Paper log, One day of backing, I mean you have to catch on to all of this in one week, then the 3rd week you out there testing and if you don't get it right they sending your ass home. You get three chances and if you dont' get a right that third chance you going home for some people, because some people get more then three chances because like I said before a trainer told me that they have to pass a certain percent! Man some of these people that they pass couldn't even back, couldn't even shift, and they still pass some of these people. Man D.O.T or somebody need to shut that school down because CRST is all about the money man
