Malicious & extortionate billings on cancellation of service

I cancelled my home phone & internet service at Comwave 8 months short of three years . The phone always had a beeping sound for a few seconds before the dial tone & on the telephone answering machine , when I did not pick up the call . This has always been an annoyance . The internet service was not that impressive as well . Was having problems with the service & decided to cancel it . My new service provider told me that they would notify Comwave of the disconnect . Soon after came $ 52.00 disconnect charge for the phone . I was ok with that . Then another $ 200.00 for phone cancellation . The phone is $ 14.95 per month ! Then I call them as they still were charging me for the internet connection . They denied that they had been notified my new service provider . I Told them my service was discontinued the same day as the phone & they still had charged me for both services full to march 28 when they were ended on march 19 with no credit to my account . They charged me for the forward month on the new bill . Then was notified that there would be two separate charges of $ 95.00 for the modem & adapter if they were not returned after 30 days . Sent them in separate shipments because I was notified of these on march 21 & then on march 28 . Save me the expense of one shipment please ! Then was told of the $ 140.00 charge to disconnect the internet . Talked to a supervisor & apparently I did verbally agree to a 3 year contact over the phone . It did not register with me at the time & I did not receive any paperwork or actual documentation of terms & conditions that I could read or that I signed . Was not aware for the most part of any potential extortionate & malicious billings during the initial conversation & verbal agreement . I tried to negotiate a reasonble compromise to resolve the issue . I then told them i would block their automatic bank withdrawls on my account . Which i did . Still have not received any accounting or documentation from them on the actual status of the credit & debit balances to my account . They sent a notice today that their will now be NSF charges if they are unable to access my funds at the bank on April 16 . I dont even know what they plan to charge me for next ! This is worst company i have ever dealt with ! If someone robbed you with a baseball bat on the street , they would face a criminal charge & potentialy go to jail for it . This racketeering outfit seems to thing they can charge you anything they feel like & it's non negotiable . Maybe an ombudsman or the BBB could assist with the public being made aware of this unethical & misleading enterprise ! Should have their licence to operate in this Country suspended ! Permanently ! I close my account at the bank so they can no longer attempt to extort funds from it . They can send me an accurate & honest documentation of debits & credits to my account . Willing to pay $ 52 .00 on the internet $ 90.00 for the phone as i had 6 month free at the beginning of the contract . I will cover that . I was notified that i should be credited The deposit on the modem & adapter of $ 132.00 when they returned . They have 2 weeks ago . Will they credit me for this ? Do not trust this company . The low price & the Tie Domi add is just a bribe . Then they will show their true colors once they have lured you into their snare ! Beware !

Forcing people to become customerand rob you.

All my experienced with Comwave was very very bad. they forcing PEOPLE with a NICE words, but what they told you all was zero, not true. NOT HONEST COMPANY..

tHEY TOOK MONEY FROM MY CREDIT CARD WITHOUT NOTICE, ALSO CHARGED ME WITHOUT KNOWING WHAT FOR THEY CHARGED, AFTER I TALKED ABOUT ALMOST 2 HOURS OVER THE PHONE, THEY EXPLAINED THAT THE PHONE
DEVICE NEED TO BE RETURNED, NO ONE TOLD ME ABOUT THAT..


ANOTHER PROBLEM STILL COMING, I CANCELLED TV.IN A FEW HOURS , AND THEY STILL SENDING TV BOX/ DEVICE TO MY ADDRESS.
I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO GET THIS VERY BAD EXPERIENCED WITH OTHER COMPANY..
BE CAREFUL !!! WITH A NICE WORD TO OFFER YOU.

A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT WOULD BE NICE, THEY GET AWAY WITH LYING TO EVERYONE AND WE END UP PAYING FOR IT IN THE LONG RUN...
I'M SURPRISED THAT MR. DOMMI WOULD HAVE HIS NAME TIED TO A COMPANY LIKE THIS ..

Phone Rep

I called Comwave to inquire about their services. What I found was a sales rep that lacked any assemblence of knowledge or for that matter manners. This individual was only interested in credit card numbers or Banking information. When I ask for information such as channel lineup I was told to look it up on the internet. It would appear if your not interested in giving up your personal information they only want to move onto their next mark!

Buyer beware

Well well well...was told to look at commwave as i am tired of overpaying to these large monopolies for internet and tv services. Did some research and read up on reviews. I will stay away from commwave for now...unless there is an improvement in their service and business ethics.

PRO-SCAMMERS

everytime something wrong with the net its everyone esle fault this company is built on ### they promise you everything you had with bell but wow you have to pay its not included joke they are good at scaming you im going to the goverment when you call with a problem they run you around like you where playing tag and when they explain something to you is so full of bullshit they must have a training centre for running of there mouths please hurry up and make my contract goes away .i would like to know what bullshit they tie domi to get him to support them my only satisfaction that i get is to tell everyone i know or meet DO NOT GO WITH COMWAVE THEY ARE PRO-SCAMMERS boy do i tell lots of people with the net,emails facebook,twitter,kijiji hurry for all of they

Port out fee

When your contract is up and you want to change carriers, Maybe because comwave charges you hidden fee,s like 3 dollars for 911, warranty, box rental, etc They will then charge you 50 dollars for your phone # to be transferred to the new carrier, They will also tell you that you have 8 days to return the adapter box to them or you will be charged for that also. Stay away from this company unless you want scam charges added on. My contract stated 19.95 for Canada wide and I ended up paying 33.45 after taxes with all the aforementioned hidden fee,s.

Port out fee

My plan says 19.95 for Canada wide unlimited, actual cost to me is 33.35 taken out monthly. This is due to all the hidden fees, ie 911-warranty on adapter etc,etc. then When you find a different carrier to go with after your contract is up, They charge you a 50 dollar "Port out fee" which is simply a scam money grab and tell you you have 8 days to return the adapter box to them or you will be charged again. This was a great company when it first started out, but unchecked greed has made it into a scam company. I was with Comwave for around 10 years but never realized I was being taken advantage of until we decided to switch to a much lower costing, same plan company. Now I realize how much I have been scammed for and the made up "administration fee which is 50 dollars just to port out your phone # to the new company is sad. ps google for a much better company to handle your phone and internet needs, there are several very good ones

Cancellation of service

I like to cancel the service but I can'n contact no one person to take care about this matter. I try let messages, phone call and no answer ??? all what they do is to transfer an automated answers voice.

TOTAL RIP OFF

I wish the hell I would have read all these complaints before signing on with them. I have internet and TV. I have had nothing but problems with m my TV getting maintenance errors and I lose my service. trying to reach them is near impossible. When I do I open a ticket and they say they fixed the problem A year down the road I am still having the same issues. Then thy close the ticket and it happens again and again. Now I open another ticket to which they reply I have to write down every time it happens and for how long. That means I have to stay glued to the TV. I have had it with them. So many calls, tickets and the same crap. I am now fed up and am cancelling. I have been with them for 2 yrs. I never signed a contract but from what I have read it is verbal. I bought the modem and they still have a 300.00 deposit of mine. I get the feeling I am going to lose big time. Now as I write this I'm 33 in a cue and it's going slow. I am on the line to cancel so why is it that 33 people are all calling at this time. Well I'm glad I'm not using the credit card I signed up with after reading all these complaints. We'll see what happens. I am furious with the amount of crap I've dealt with. DON'T USE COMWAVE or you'll be sorry.I've never seen anything like it.

STAY AWAY FROM COMWAVE

Don't ever I mean ever go with this company. I wish I read all the reviews before the fact and now I am paying the price. I was having problems with my TV going out all the time with maintenance pages coming up frequently. First of all trying to reach them is a joke. When I finally was able to reach them they say they fixed the problem and a couple days later the same problem would happen. This has been going on for at east a year now. They can't fix it obviously. Through all the frustration and crap I have been dealing with I wanted to cancel my account to only be told it would cost me $200.00 for internet and $200.00 for TV to cancel because I had a contract. I did not sign a contract. They told me to call right before to cancel. The next day I called to take some stations off my account that I wasn't using. I went through hell. You are spending so much time on the phone on hold no matter what. It starts telling you you are 33 in cue. I am so livid. I feel that because they go by your phone number thinking your going to cancel they make it harder and harder. Why couldn't I cancel the day I called and why do I have to wait just before. I'm bursting blood vessels dealing with them. I don't know how they get away with treating people the way they do. I went as far as cancelling my entire credit card to stop them from charging me. They already have 300.00 of mine to begin with. I was so distraught yesterday over a damn company and what it was doing to me. Like someone said they are holding you hostage. I believe I am going to look into this further and will perhaps talk with a lawyer. I am fed up. DO NOT GO WITH THEM or you'll be making a big mistake!!
