They claim to be a collecting agency, but they are a scam

They sent our company 12 letters within a couple of days claiming that our payroll checks were cashed in walmart and there's insufficient funds. They claim to be a collecting agency, but they are a scam. The checks' numbers doesn't match ours and noone has that signature listed in the check.

Bad Business Practices

Complete Payment Recovery Services, Inc is a collection agency that refuses to acknowledge my store receipt. When I first contacted the agency they demanded payment regardless of the situation. I advised them I do have my store receipt which says refund. I was told to fax it to phone no. 1-800-934-4923 this was back in April. Called again same scenario this time was told mail it to 11601 Roosevelt Blvd St. Petersburg, FL 33716 . In June re-faxed the enlarged document Now they are telling to get a letter head from the business that put me in collections. This business is an hour and half away. The letter must state this store acknowledges my receipt even though they were the ones who put me in collections. I don’t see them doing so. Plus whose going to pay for my gas or my wasted time. What if the business refuses to give me back my disputed receipt then I would have to pay for the returned item. This collection agency needs to acknowledge my documentation. They call me three times a day demanding payment and send me emails indicating I have not tried to resolve this issue. When I try speaking to a manager or supervisor they can’t take my call but yet they can keep harassing me.

Complete Payment Recovery Services

A "Bennett Law" in Utah (just google them) is claiming to have been retained by Complete Payment Recovery Services collection agency representing Wal Mart store 2788, Brownsburg Indiana. (google them too) They claim that our payroll checks were cashed in their (cause they state they are representing them) WM and 2 others, all on the same day and all for under $300 and there's insufficient funds. But these are forged checks as we did not issue them. So here is what I was told to do. Make a Police report in the community where it happened. They will contact Walmart for signatures videotapes etc. Go online to the US Postal Services Criminal Investigation Services and make a fraud report. Then let the chips fall where they may.

Sadly the FBI also knows about this and does nothing. You'd think Walmart would also protect it's own good name as I can't imagine Walmart selling fraudulent bad debt and accepting money from a recovery service after they negligently accepted the bad checks and then sharing in the recovery of the spoils from the victims of the bad check. If that were true OMG some sharp lawyer could file a class action law suit on behalf of the victims and retire for life. But I can't imagine WM being so foolish.
