Rude, condecending and humiliating
I have just ended a phone call with a consultant at Classic Holidays. I was trying to book an extra week before or after my fixed week 52 and I was told that it would be $1,350. I have 4 weeks in my exchange portfolio and can NEVER use them for a decent resort anywhere at any decent time, but I can't always head to the Gold Coast for week 52 every year. So I asked the consultant if it was possible to use an exchange week that I pay $800+ maintenance on annually to add a week to my existing week for a two week continuous holiday and his reply was "no, you've given your week 52 away so it no longer exists so you can only pick up a week where someone else has given their week away", I replied, yes I understand that, so is there a week before or after my week 52 that someone has given up? "No there wont be as it's a prime week" he replied... My respinse, "but my week 52 is a prime week and all I'm asking for is a decent place and time to exchange my weeks for. I am sick of getting limited choices for crappy weeks". His reply was... "Look Darl, let me be completely honest here. Golden Shores is not some 5 start resort, it's a 3.5 star resort if that, so you can't expect a prime exchange for that, it just wont happen".... My reply was "excuse me but my names not "Darl" it's Mrs.... and I expect you to treat me with a modicum of respect.. Darl!!" and then had to suffer through a 2 minute excuse for why he called me that. I literally could not speak and had nothing more to say to this obnoxious, rude, narcissist after he completely wiped the floor with both myself and the resort that I pay $800+ maintenance for annually and have owned for 30 years. Appalled, disgusted and humiliated...
