Mail forward notice mis-delivered & not taking phone calls - too busy - and hanging up

I am experiencing the same after getting a person on the phone who spoke english but did not understand words like delivered etc. I thing their customer service setup lacks one thing SERVICE

Fake attempted delivery, fake tracking number

I am so pissed with Canada Post for three reasons : 1) lazy postman delivers pick-up notices directly to my mailbox (many metres away from my house), while I wait whole day at home for my letters to arrive (I work from home). These notices have a hole in them for the door knob. But the postman does not even try to come to my house to get my signature. 2) no tracking available even with tracking numbers. I have paid for tracking on many different items back in November 2011. Called the 1800 number several times. They keep telling me to check the website for updates. Today is January 24, 2012 and the tracking numbers lead to absolutely no information (info cannot be found). Canada Post charges an additional $8.10 per tracking number+HST. 3) One of the women working at the post office at the Shoppers' drug mart (Erin Mills Town Centre, Mississauga, Ontario) is really inefficient and tries all sorts of things to do the least she can. She's super slow, very confused and in need of time off. Bring your pick-up notice to her and she'll fake going through a pack of letters and tell you to come back another time. Thank god I could see from far and read my own name and address on one of the envelopes in the pack on her table. Canada Post just does not deliver.

Tracking Does Not Work

Sent two letters to the USA registered mail in Dec 2012. Paid for signed delivery notice as well. It is now two months later and still nothing. Looked on the website. Nothing has been updated since Dec 2012. Mailings have still not been delivered. Called to see about tracking. Asked to look on website. Told them I had already done this but no recent updates. This is the big surprise - then told they cannot track when in the USA - so what is the point of Registered mail?????? If someone had told me this when I was sending the mail, I would have said to send Express or something else where there was guaranteed tracking. Why is Canada Post selling a product they cannot deliver (no pun intended)? This is so frustrating it is making me mad. To top it all off, there does not seem to be a complaint process in place and the ombudsman will not do anything until a complaint has been filed and processed. If anyone has any idea of how to go about this please post.

mail delivery Canada Post

Mailman was observed delivering. He sticks his hand full of mail in under lid and inserts mail. IF THE LID DROPS SHUT IT IS NO THANKS TO MAILMAN, IF THE LID DOES NOT SHUT HE IS TURNED AND GONE WITHOUT ATTEMPTING TO CLOSE. Rain and snow damage mail.
the fellow is too rushed to finished an already shortened day.
A close relative was a mail delivery person and he had a 5 hour day for which he was paid for 8. I have also damaged receipts and wonder what the hell is the problem. How lame a job which has to be performed and can't even achieve customer satisfaction.

Overpaid and over populated by supervisors who do what exactly. Not everyone just many are useless. Give the job to someone who knows the value of a job well done

OVER PAID LAZY POSTAL WORKERS

The Canadian Govt. needs to wash their hands of Canada post. Needs to be run by private companies, enough is enough!

Wrong delivery

My mail did not make it to my mailbox and when I checked my tracking number it showed that it was delivered yes but to whom and where, I have delivered many letters to my neighbors which deliveryman made mistakes many times not checking the address and put them in my mailbox I think this is what happen with mine it was delivered elsewhere and eventually it was tossed away

Blatant Disregard

I paid for mail forwarding from the 30th of January 2017 and on February 20, 2017 find out my mail was given to a handyman in office of same complex. Although I had paid the $56.00 and something fee 2 letters are in limbo and other 2 were not forwarded but delivered to old address where no one was living but put in slot of apartment unit and handyman obtained. This was obviously an important and vital service, being tax time wanted to ensure I received mail properly. Also the items I sent had cash and valentines and valentines wishes to loved ones. Canada Post OFFers to extend the service. I don't need service for longer than the 4 months I paid for which was all that would be required to ensure I updated my information with correspondents. I said I wanted my payment refunded as a minimal courtesy and keep mail forwarding intact which is what they did a few years back when they screwed up then. Lad I spoke with by name of Lenny, title letter carrier supervisor says I have 2 choices. One they will cancel my mail forwarding and give me a refund or 2 extend my service. Why would I want to continue a service that messed me up? Why would they assume I could still have good faith in them and their services?? They defeated the whole purpose of purchase the service in the first place.

Apparently the postal worker/mailman didn't look at the order. Because of their incompetence and unprofessionalism they still feel entitled to do whatever the heck they want and disregard peoples rights and privacy and do now have the decency to amend instill any faith or confidence in the consumer by making proper compensation/retribution for their errors. Unacceptable.

Delivery notices

The notices need to be amended to say “ no pick up at mail office in weekends” it clearly stated pick up your delivery tomorrow after 1:00. Which happened to be a Saturday. After standing in a long slow line with ONE attended at the desk I was told my parcels were not there. Hey postal chiefs my time is just as valuable as yours. Your service is deplorable!!! If any other company ran a business like you do it deserved to be out of business

canada postal visa.

vancity says it backs a canada postal visa. then they say they can take 100 days to make a decision on fraudulent charges their system allows online. then the real owners, a florida bank, can tell u they do not admit to an error. my card has had to be replaced an increasing number of times. my review, do not use.

Poor service

I did an online order from Vancouver. Jan 2 at 8:26 pm the item is processing through the Richmond Canada Post distribution center. On Jan 3 at 1:36 pm the item departed Richmond. On Jan 3, 10:18 pm the item arrived at its destination. According to tracking, the item was to be delivered by end of day Jan 6.

It is now 6:30 pm Jan 6. The item has not been delivered!

I have had this experience, late delivery by Canada Post, 15 times in 2019, at least 15 times in 2018, and unknown amount of times of later delivery in 2017!

Canada Post is a complete joke! The government of Canada should dismantle Canada post and allow the private sector to deliver our mail! It is obvious, Canada Post is not up to the challenge delivering parcels on time! They dont care either! I have used their "online chat". Script reading is their way feeble attempt in solving delivery issues! The incompetence of management, and postal workers is outrageous!
