Ripped off by Bell Canada

Hi forum.
After reviewing all commentaries about every aspect of the service Bell is doing with everyone of the participants I have to tell that there are more reliable options in the market.
I won't fall in criticism with any communication service provider but the reality is that the market is moving where the market is comfortable the most and this is service. I have a solution for all of the frustrated people dealing with Bell and it is allowing me to help you guys out. I am a former employee of a communication company and I have the opportunity to make the best my company can do to fulfill with clients needs, we provides today the most reliable technological platform of products to serve our clients as market demands.
We have the most reliable TV service fully streamed under a fiber optic signal guaranteeing to you service 24/7 365 and not weather permit as our main competitor.
We also guarantee full high speed Internet service at least at 12 Mbps guarantee in packages Express and up, also offer professional dedicated service consultant to serve you directly which means you always will have the same person dedicated for
your needs, it is like having a family Dr. In communications, isn't that awesome.

Bell scams customers

pooched up billing and possible fraud

In my experience, Bell lies and cheats customers. Here's a good example. I ordered a bell bundle (TV, high speed internet and phone). I placed my order with an online agent. The agent put in a lower speed internet than what I asked for. She responded by saying, that's ok, you can change it later. I said, no, please correct it. She did. They sent the tv guys out first to install the tv's. Then the internet came. They couldn't provide me with the high speed internet I requested in my area. The agent tried to get me to sign for lower speed, obviously knowing this. Bell cannot be trusted. Not sure about Rogers but at least when you call you are speaking to someone in North America. But if anyone wants to save money with these companies, call up and say you want to cancel, , its amazing what savings they could be offering you!

Phone Disconnect

My family & I had a similar thing happen to us about 3 years ago. My mother resided in a retirement residence & passed away on a Friday. My brother was her Power of Attorney & notified Bell of her death & asked to have the phone service disconnected. They offered condolences & said the service would be fully disconnected by the Monday. On the Thursday (almost a full week after notification & day after funeral) we went down to clean out her room. My brother went to check the phone & unplug it but it still had a dial tone. My brother called & after the usual of telling them what phone number you are calling about my brother said that the service was supposed to have been disconnected 4 days prior. The customer service rep said that it was to which my brother said "What number did I just give you?" The guy read the number. "Now what number shows up that I am calling from?" The rep says "Oh, it is the same number. Rather than having it disconnected, would you like it transferred to her new residence?" My brother was in shock & said "Are you serious? Is that a new service you offer, telephone service to cemeteries?" The rep didn't know what to say.

Unfair deactivatio fee

About 4 years ago I moved into Social Housing after living with my daughter & family for a few years. The Bell Services --phone, internet & satellite were all in my name as I had the better phone service package & the internet & satellite was added to it. There was about a year left in the contract when I phoned to have the service moved to my new apartment. The problem was that Social Housing did not allow Satellite dishes or service at the building & they faxed a letter (on advice from a Bell Rep who said that the cancellation fee would be waived since it was not my fault satellite was cancelled it was because it was not allowed where I was moving) to Bell & they were supposed to transfer my phone & internet to new apartment. I waited a few days for them to show up to do the installation & nothing happened. I called them & they said that they did not have it marked down that I wanted it transferred so they considered it cancelled. If I wanted the service I would have to pay them the cancellation fee I owed them which is not my fault they goofed. I refused as they said I owed them $900 -- $250 for phone; $250 for internet & $400 for an XBOX (a promotional item when we got other 2 services added to my account). When I talked to them I told them I did not cancel that they neglected to mark down transfer & offered to send back the XBOX which had hardly been used & they didn't want that. I had kept records of the dates of all the phone calls & what was said with them & when I gave them what all was said they come back with "Oh, you keep records." What capped it off I had made my final payment before I left my daughter's residence & the payment had not been posted (I had confirmation number of payment going through my bank account) they said they did not know what account to apply it to. Duh! The account number appeared on the payment to them. They were unable to get any more money from me & I went with Acanac for a while until our apartment building was upgraded to allow Cogeco to have all services provided to it. I have all my services -- phone, internet & digital cable with them & am saving over $100 per month of what I was paying Bell. I would never go back to Bell.

Overcharged

I have been a loyal client of Bell. But they do not appreciate clients anymore. They have made it a rule to break their promises. Also, they are over billing me on a regular basis. Recently, when I called their billing department, they presumed the client guilty. Then, they checked their records and found the proof that it was the fault of their employees. Bell did not even apologize to me, and more than a month later, they have not corrected their mistakes.

Over Billing

I have been a loyal client of Bell, but I do not trust them anymore. They have made it a rule to break their promises, and also to over bill me more and more each month.
Recently, when I complained to their billing department, they presumed the client guilty! Then, they checked their records and found the proof about huge mistakes of Bell employees. Yet, they have not even apologized to me. Over a month later, they still have not corrected their mistakes, although their supervisor promised to do it immediately. I have never encountered such disrespectful treatment of clients in any other business in Canada.

receive my bill but slight mistake /street

2013 my bill was over due, got a call from a rep, noting my street address wynford drive, but it should have read wynford heights cres, so i thought it was corrected, but continued in receiving my bill with the wrong street/drive,therefore i still paid my bills on time, i guess the mail man figured the mistake, but i have had the service /tech/ over for various problems it strike me funny they knew how to find me, and on July 8 bell calls me letting me know that i was 2 months behind, she checked my address again, but had to make another correction, because the first time was not corrected. so i paid the amount owing on the internet same day.
and on Wednsday my phone line was dead. called customer service of course it was over seas, they arranged for a tech/ for Saturday, guess what no one showed up,so i called customer service over seas again, only for them to tell me that no/technician would be coming. these people could not give you an answer, they have no clue. they even asked me if there was a bell truck outside and this was past the time slot.i will now take my business else where because bells customer service sucks big time. so be weary who you deal with?

Bell is a ripoff.

Bell has been nothing but a ripoff. I ordered their services in February and I had nothing but trouble. The internet and
tv was always going down. Finally they agreed their services were not what I should expect. Then came their billing
and in March I was supposed to have a 57.16 Credit which they said was my final bill.
Now today they tell me I have a credit of 36.00. They ripped me off for 20.00 I would not recommend their services to
anyone. The say I have to wait another 4 to six weeks to get my money back, They told me in March it would be
4 to six week.
Like I say they are a ripoff and nobody should deal with them.
