A fake university who stole my money!
I went to a college and got my degree but had lots and I mean lots of trainings. So after many online conversations and actually speaking to someone on the phone for 1 hour, I sent a very large package of all my trainings, my education and my resume to them. They got back to me by phone and told me that my lifeskills had been applied and gave me enough credits for a degree in Human Services. I kindly accepted and went about my life. 3 years later I was challanged on that degree and was brought before a discipline board ( very serious business) and lost my job, had my certification taken and was told that I was of poor character.. to never work in the field that I had worked in for 20 years or better. I obtain an attorney who never showed up for my final board hearing and I was slammed. I was also told that I intentionally decieved this board by knowing and willingly participating in a FAKE degree. The end of the story. I have been unemplyed since.

Belford University
In 2003 I was attending New College Graduate School of Psychology in San Francisto, Ca. After a year, my husband became critically ill and I was not able to continue. A counselor at New College recommended me to Belford University, an "accredited online Live Experience & Course Study College degree program. My experience was not just contacting Belford, talking to them and getting a Masters Degree. I put in two years of class study and had an Internship at Haight Ashbury Women's Residential Treatment Center on Treasure Island. In 2005 I concluded with paying off my balance owed and then received my Masters Degree which came to me through certified mail. I recently received an email from Belford University representative, Jack Cooper from the Degree Legalization and Attestation Department, saying that I must urgently contact them prior to March 31st, 2013, the US Department of State is requiring me to pay for a Degree Attestation. I called the 1-866-810-0408 number that Mr. Cooper provided and spoke to a Mr. Jason Matthews, who said that my cost is $600.00 and that Belford University must pay 800.00 words my owed amount. I told him that I had to research this: I contacted the US Dept. of Education (1-800-872-5327 and spoke to a Lisa, who advised me to not pay it appears to be a SCAM, and that Belford University is not recognized by them as an "accredited" online University. She further stated that my Degree from them is useless. I am working with an Attorney who is now addressing my business concerning these matters. The amazement for me is that they went to great lengths to demonstrate that they were legitimate. They followed me through my two year internship and continued communicating with the New College Graduate School of Psychology Community Center representative. I even received a congratulations letter from them! Donna Fontenot
