Rip-off Artists
Sounds very similar to what they tried to do to me in Hamburg, NY. Same song and dance about needing root canal with crown; also was told that all of my old fillings needed to be replaced. Sat me down with the 'Finance Manager' .. btw .. i've never seen a finance department at any other health care organization ... anyway, she told me that with my insurance, it would cost me about $1600 out of pocket. Chump change i suppose. So I went home and did some research on Aspen Dental and found many complaints, so I got a second opinion. I did need root canal, no crown, no fillings replaced. I had one cavity and needed new x-rays done because the ones I retrieved from Aspen were so faint that the Dentist couldn't even read them. Long story short .. it cost me $5 copay ... I saved $1595 by not going to Aspen. They really should be shut down ... preying on innocent people ... scum!!

There is a class action lawsuit being filed against them. Please email me at [email protected] if you would like to help us with information about their business practices. There are numerous complaints all over the country and they need to be put out of business.
Thank you,
Nancy Leathers, PI

unsatisfactory work
Thanks for posting your experience with Aspen Dental. They are off my list as far as getting first time dentures. Based on all the different people you had to deal with, it sounds more like a training facility than a professional established practice. It's always a Red Flag (warning) when a practice has a large turn over of so called professionals! Thanks again and good luck!

bad dentures
Cincinnati Ohio...I made an appointment with Aspen Dental for today (2/29/2012) to have a tooth pulled. I went as scheduled. They did x-rays and had the dentist come in to talk to me and look at my teeth. She proceeded to talk about pulling ALL my bottom teeth and pull four from the top. Then she babbled about implants and dentures. My head was spinning. Then the hygienist came in to talk about some other weird stuff that they wanted to do that would approximately take 6-mos to complete. Then I was taken to the Office Manager to discuss how I wanted to pay for all this. of course I had a ton of questions because this was all so new to me, and my head was still spinning. By the time they were done with me (with a bill for $7, 200.00 to start), I was in tears and still confused about why they wanted to pull all my bottom teeth. I got up, asked if she wanted me to sign the title of my car over to them for payment, and walked out. I'm applauded that this was handled this way and on top of it...I still have the loose tooth in my mouth that is causing me extreme pain.

bad dentures
yes i have bad experience with them also as i went and bought dentures that cost me a hefty 3000.00 and they had to remake them and they are still so loose in my mouth and so loose even denture cream will not even hold them in and forced me to sign a statement saying that if they had to be fixed again that i would have to pay the extra cost for them and i feel like callling them and telling them to keep the teeth and go talk to a lawyer about sueing them. I am so angry with them and expecially the cost of every thing
