Poor Travel Agents
AAA Mid-Atlantic Travel Agent - Insurance - Road Side - Services. On Monday I went to AAA and spoke to a Travel Agent about a trip package out of the country. I gave her all the information including the motel I wanted to stay at. I would leave in 15 days. "Emily G." said she would email me all the package information later in the day. On Thursday I hadn't received anything so I called -- Oops she sent it to the wrong e-address and will forward it to me immediately. Later that day I called and left a message on her extension that I hadn't received anything yet. Now it's time for me to pay or lose the airfare and I have no information, nor did Emily in Charlottesville VA, call or email me. There is no value in a AAA-Plus membership and this is the last time I renew! They just don't care and are not professional.

AAA does not honor the customer
THIS COMPANY DOES NOT TELL THE TRUTH. WITH SUB-STANDARD SERVICE, THEY DON'T PROVIDE THE SERVICE YOU PAY FOR. AND WHEN YOU TRY AND CANCEL, YOU WON'T GET ANY OF YOUR MONEY BACK! HONESTLY, THEY ARE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE .... USED TO BE GOOD A LONG LONG TIME AGO.....BESIDES THEY ARE NOT ECO-FRIENDLY. THERE ARE OTHER AUTO CLUBS OUT THERE NOW. RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN AWAY FROM AAA!!

AAA Travel is NOT AAA
I've been a AAA member for 35 years and have placed a lot of travel reservations with AAA, especially on their website. Only today did I learn that when I go on-line or call the "AAA" number, I AM NOT TALKING TO AAA! Instead I am talking with an out-source company that does not provide quality service nor do they back up AAA Member Clients. AAA takes no responsibility for this company and the company takes no responsibility for their actions ... or non-actions. I made a hotel reservation in March 2014 for a hotel on May 27, 2014. Due to plan changes, on April 9, 2014, as instructed, I called the "AAA Number" provided on the email reservation confirmation to cancel the reservation. I talked to a Rep who pulled up my trip and confirmation number and then gave me a Cancellation Confirmation Number. Today (June 2014) I received my credit card bill and saw that I had been charged by the hotel for a one-night No-Show penalty. I spent about 3 hours talking to the hotel (who referred me back to "AAA Travel") and to at least a dozen people, most of whom represented theirself as AAA until I became specific and asked for whom they worked. None of these, including a couple of "Supervisors" was of absolutely any assistance. They claimed they had no record of my telephone call nor of the Cancellation Confirmation Number. Because THEIR records were missing, this sub-contract company would offer no assistance nor would they assume any responsibility for their error and lack of record keeping. I am left "hanging out to dry" to eat the penalty charges. I did my job, why can't AAA Travel do theirs???
