They don't need access to your email to do this, it's just email spoofing. Most likely your email account has not been hacked, but you probably did visit a bad website or your email was phished some other way.

overcharge for hacked account
my email @ yahoo was hacked and when I turned to their customer support service instead of helping me to solve that situation ans instead of support they charged my account for $90 without any notice and reason. After that I was unable to contact them - all my claims were simply ignored.This server in unsafe, be careful!

can't log in
I am not able to log in to my account, as they won’t let me use my old password. I have notified the admin about this problem, but have not received a answer yet.
