Cheat money through the Typical dutch stuff
Hello,
I ordered a pair of slippers on September 10, 2011 and they still have not arrived. I have sent inquiries regarding the order and only one email was responded to in December stating that they have been shipped, but the mail this time of year is slow. I live in California, USA and have made other purchases from Dutch companies that have made it here with no inconvenience. I am very sad to see that many others have had the same problems. Honestly, all I wanted was a pair of slippers for my grandmother's birthday. Maybe they'll arrive by her next one?
Best regards,
Rachel

Cheat money through the Typical dutch stuff
Hello Rachel,
Thank you for your email. Your order was shipped with PostNL/TNT in September and should have arrived by now. I am sorry to hear that it has not arrived yet. The shipping method you selected does not come with a tracking number, so there is no way we know if a package has or has not arrived if we do not hear from you. Selecting an unregistered shipping method has its risk, which are all explained on our website. We offer several shipping methods that do include a tracking number.
We will send out a new package, free of charge.

Order
Dear Marlies,
The first pair of slippers was indeed sent out for the second time with UPS, which arrived. We have emailed you about the second pair of slippers. These are no longer available and we have therefore offered for you to either pick a different pair, or be given a full refund of the slippers. We have unfortunately not heard back yet. If you could please send us an email and let us know how you wish to proceed?

Goods not received - not replying to emails
Diem,
We are sorry to hear that the slippers have not arrived. You have selected TNT/PostNL shipping without track and trace when you placed your order. We clearly communicate on several locations on our website, including our terms and conditions AND right when you are prompted to select a shipping method, that no tracking number is included in this shipping method and that therefore the package cannot be tracked. We did not force you to select this form of shipping, as we also offer UPS shipping, which has the best track and trace system out there. It's unfortunately a fact that packages either are delayed in transit, damaged in transit, or lost in transit. Without a tracking number, we cannot do anything about this. Shipping without a tracking number is at the customer's risk, as mentioned on our website. Had you selected UPS shipping, then there would be so much more we could do.
We will issue a refund for the slippers. Our apologies for the inconvenience.

Haven't received order and they won't respond to my emails
Hello,
I am sorry to hear that your order has not arrived yet. Could you please contact our customer service, because I do not know which order this concerns without an order number. If you haven't received a reply to your email, it might be that it does not come through in our email box. Please send your email to our secondary email address: [email protected] and we will gladly solve this problem.

Non-Delivery of Goods, No reply to emails
I am writing in relation to the failure by Typical Dutch Stuff to delivery goods paid for by credit card and also the subsequent failure to reply to emails.
We live in Australia and we have bought coffee from Typical Dutch Stuff before on a number of occasions. We have been happy with the delivery and the product.
However, the latest order experience has turned quite sour and we are getting no responses from the company. The details are:
• On 27 July 2013 we made a web site order (Number 8526) from Typical Dutch Stuff and paid by credit card. The cost was over 100 Euros.
• Our order status on their web site and email advice was that the order was shipped on 30 July.
• On 16 September I emailed them with a query advising them we had not received the shipment.
• On 20 September I received an email reply from Wendy in which she advised that we wait a few weeks more. In that email, Wendy stated that, if it didn't arrive, she would send a free replacement package if the first did not arrive.
• On 8 October I again emailed Wendy to advise it hadn't arrived. I have had no response to that email.
• On 30 October I again wrote to the company via their web email option and have not had any acknowledgement or reply.
• Today, 1 November 2013, it has still not arrived.
If we cannot resolve this in the next few days we will be forced to notify our bank and have the credit card payment reversed.

No Replies, No Products Received
I live in Canada, and on October 4th, I placed an order with my parents for Senseo coffee, for a total cost of more than 540 euros (order # 8475). I have received 1 message from them since the order confirmation, and that was an automatic notice that the order had gotten in the processing stage, but nothing more. I gave them 2 more weeks before I wrote them my first message, to ask them what was taking them so long, and in the meanwhile, I have contacted them via the email, via Facebook, and via their website form, but this still has not resulted in any form of response. Thus, it has been 3 weeks since I contacted them the first time to attempt to get any form of update, but I still have not received any form of response from them.
This is all extremely odd, since 2 years ago, I also placed an order with them for the exact same product, but back then, everything went far smoother, and the only reason why it took a little longer than initially planned back then was because they did not have enough in stock. Well, respectable and understandable, but this time, I have not received any such notice. And what makes it even more frustrating, is that this time, my parents made the payment (we share the coffee), so I am also stuck with their frustration, something which creates a lot of stress.
So, all I am asking for is clarification and an update, and obviously the shipment of our order. But if this is going to take multiple weeks longer, then I will advise my parents to contact their bank, and claim the payment of the order back, since the way we are currently being treated, is very unethical.

No good, money taken By the Typical dutch stuff
We ordered "Sinterklaas" goods and were expecting this to arrive on the 5th December, we paid for express shipping. We received an email on the 5th of December, saying that they are now dispatching it!!
How can you charge us the express shipping when you have not even sent it yet on the supposed arrival date? And yet, it is now 17th of December and still waiting for our order! What a waste of time and money. NOTHING TYPICAL DUTCH about this company. Of course we are instructing Vista to get our money back if they do not fully refund and report them to the authority both here in the UK and Netherlands as i am Dutch citizen myself.
PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM; THERE ARE OTHER GENUINE COMPANIES THAT WILL DELIVER WHATEVER YOU NEED FROM THE NETHERLANDS.

Fraud
We ordered about 100 Euros worth of stuff from them a few months ago, besides the initial response mail, nothing arrived. I have notified the Dutch Internet Fraud team, that are currently working on the case. Do not buy anything from these people.

only partial delivery
We ordered several times from this website, even in the US and everything went well. But the last 2 orders beginning in 2013 were a nightmare. We paid via Paypal and first we got no response that they even received out order (but the did definitely receive our money). After a couple of Emails at last our foirst order arrived. The second order was placed Nov. 4th. Again after a few weeks and no email confirmation, I contacted them again and informed Paypal. We got a partial delivery end of december, but still items woth of 50 Euro missing. No response to Emails or phone anymore. Don't know what to do. Will never order again!

Disagree with above comment
I have to say that I normally don't leave comments on sites like this, but I happen to love this site. Been getting my coffee fix from them for years.

Terrible Website
After reading all the other negative reviews about typicaldutchstuff.com, I must emphasize that you all read them. My experience with this website has been the worst! I ordered a shipment back in November of 2013, and it never came! After a month went by, I inquired about it. Only an auto reply stating they would get back to me within 5 days. 5 days go by, no reply, so I send another and another. Months go by and I dont receive a reply. Each email with another auto reply, now with the auto reply's changing. Some saying they are on holiday, others saying down for maintenance or closed for the month??? So at this point, I am realizing what a scam this website is. After months go by and with persistence I believe the owner finally realized I wasnt just going to give up which I think she hopes most of her customers will do. Well I never gave up and after 6 MONTHS of arguing and demanding a refund, Wendy (the owner) finally refunded my order. DO NOT use this website. My wife is Dutch and I come from a large Dutch family living both in the US and the NL. I am now making it point to spread the word to as many people as I can to avoid this website! Hope this review was useful.
