Did not book me a room

I have been offered by this company to help me find a hotel room when I was looking for one.
I have agreed, paid them a fee, and when I headed to the hotel, I found out that there was no room for me, and the hotel never heard of this company. don’t believe them, and don’t give them your banking details. They are real frauds.

Fraudulent charges on my debit card

A charge was made from Travres on my debit card - there was NO CARD since I had it here in Nevada and the charges were done in Washington. $180.42 and $353.40 taken out of my account - a police report will be filed on this company. They did not get identification so why are they taking the card number. The charges are being reversed so you won't get anything from the dirtbags that used my money. Apparently it was for Hotel Pronto plus a foreign transaction fee. I was in the hospital so I couldn't be in Washington at the same time. Glad to see you eat it from those dirt bags. My bank was on top of this.

can't get our money back

After we didn’t get to stay in a room we booked in this hotel we have been trying to get our money back, but it isn’t that easy. We will have to file a case against them soon.

TravRes Travel

In May, 2013, I made a reservation at a hotel in Seattle, WA but cancelled the reservation within the time allowed.
The reservation was charged to my credit card despite the cancellation.
I called the TravRes toll-free number and a recording said that I should wait another billing cycle for the credit to appear.
The credit never did appear so I called my credit card and told them about it. Long story short: it is now October and I still haven't been able to get my refund. My credit card company is still working on it and meanwhile have advised me to repot the situation to the Better Business Bureau.

Travres Travel

I called to book a room at the Holiday Inn in Sarnia Ontario. It took me some time to realize that I was not talking to Holiday Inn but by that time I was well into the reservation. Needless to say, I was told that there was no vacancy at the Holiday Inn but she could put me at the Hampton Suites in Sarnia to which I agreed (middle of a snow storm and really worried about having a place to stay for the night)! During the confirmation details she proceeded to tell me that I was booked at the Hampton Suites in Port Huron Michigan US (I am in Canada). I told her no, I was in Canada and she then said that she had made an error, that the hotel was located in the Sarnia area. I agreed to the cancellation policy verbally and she promised to e-mail me and text me the confirmation details. I did not receive either. I then proceeded to google Hamption Inn to get drving directions and discovered that there is not a Hampton Inn in Sarnia area! I then called and booked another room at another Hotel and proceeded to call Travres back to cancel, thinking that because they had made such a huge error, there would be no problem!!!! When I called back she told me I was booked at Holiday Inn in Sarnia, which I was told had no vacancy. They would not cancel, would not let me speak to a supervisor and finally after getting irate, she told me she would escalate my concerns and that they would review the taped conversation. Well 2 more phone calls back to them and after they had promised to contact me (didn't happen), they advised me that no mistake was made other than they charged me in US dollars as opposed to Canadian and they have closed the file. Really upset and this happened on my work credit card. I have been duped, just like the many others that I have been reading about!!!

Travres Travel

So just found two unauthorized charges on my credit card from this company out of Washington. I was in Washington Idaho and Oregon over three weeks ago and stayed in approximately 9 different hotels. Booked quite a few through expedia. A charge for each night was already charged to my card. I can only assume that one of these hotels or expedia has a fraud problem. Luckily my credit card company is stellar, cancelled my card and removed the charges from my account. Too bad there are people in this world that put all that energy into stealing from others instead of just going out and getting a real job! There is a hot seat waiting for you.

Travres*rescounter.com

I was on a Marriot website looking to book 3 hotel rooms. I called the reservation number at the top of the website. I talked with a booking agent and did all this over the phone. I called from a city in Alberta, Canada, and was booking rooms in Alberta, Canada. When I recieved my credit card statement I was charged an additional $200 in US currency exchange, even though I was booking from Canada within Canada. I called the number 877-283-5585, I was able to talk to a real person, who was not able to assist me, I also talked to a manager. The manager told me it was my fault because I did not click the Canadian currency box on the website, I informed her that I had done all of this over the phone with a booking agent. She said that there was absolutely nothing she could do to fix it, and that it was not the agent's fault that I did not inform him I was calling from Canada. Even though when he took my credit card info and mailing address, I clearly stated I was from Alberta, Canada. She still claimed there was not a thing she could do for me. So I just have to grin and bear the $200 "stupid" tax! DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THIS COMPANY!

TravRes

I am very careful not to use reservation companies. I went through the Marriott site for the King Kam Hotel in Kona, Hawaii. Stay there often and know their website. Nonetheless, I was not provided a confirmation by email or a receipt at the desk on checkout. Marriott told me I had made the reservation through Expedia and they could not refund me the night I did not stay or provide a receipt (got a zero balance receipt for confirmation of my stay; this was to be a reimbursable business expense). Expensive lesson, but I would recommend to all that they absolutely avoid TravRes (fraudulant entity), avoid Expedia, and not use the website for Marriott Hotels (call the hotel directly to make reservations). Somehow these three are linked; possibly Marriott is just being hacked as seems unlike this reputable company to be associated with the other two.

TRAVERES

Does anyone know how I would go about filing a complaint against this company. I put in a Reservation 3 months ago, requesting a room with double beds. I told the gentle on the phone, that if he could not guarantee a room with double beds to let me know right then so that I could find another hotel. He said it would be no problem and he stated that he booked the room with double beds. I called the hotel today and they said that the third party agent, booked me a room with a king bed and a sofa bed. This is not what I was guaranteed or promised during the phone conversation. Also, they did not tell me that the 4 nights stay would be taken of my card right at that moment.

Be wary of agency

On June 8th, 2014 I called a number in a New York travel guide that lists all the hotels, motels etc in every area of New York by county
I spoke to Eric, who said he would check the hotels around Lake George, NY for availability as that was our final destination for the next day
I asked Eric where he was from as the voice quality of the call was just crappy! Eric said he was from South America
Eric came back with 2 rooms available at a Econolodge in Glens Falls, they were the last 2 rooms available according to him
Eric asked me for my credit card to hold the rooms as he checked other hotels, no approval was given to Eric to put any charges against my card
Eric came back with a dollar amount for the room which was a good deal, but we had difficulty in understanding his English, as he talked very quickly, at this point he told me he had put a charge through to my account for one room, which I told him I had not given him approval to do so
Eric did not have a reason why he charged the room except that it was a good rate, I asked him to pull back the charge, he then said he had not put the charge through, at the same time I called Citizens to validate that the charge was not processed, Eric lied, the charge for the one room was indeed being processed
I told Eric I was all done to with him, and I wanted his supervisor which began the longest call of my life as Eric’s supervisor was also named Eric
I started calling this Eric, (Eric2 ) to separate the names, Eric2 didn’t see what the problem was, he stated he could not find my confirmation number, which I had in my possession #157418307, proving once more Eric and Eric2 were liars! No matter what I said Eric2 would say he saw no transactions going through on his end to my credit card, he stayed the course even when I told him I had validated the charge was processed through my bank!
Frustrated with the antics of Eric and Eric 2 and the idiotic answers they were sticking with, as well as the repeated phrase of “we can’t see your transaction and I should just go ahead with the booking “, I asked Eric2 to get his manager on the line, or a floor manager, anyone higher on the food chain than him
I know this will be hard to believe but yet another Eric got on the line, this would be Eric3 - you should know that Eric2 told me there was no manager available to chat with, it took me blasting him to get someone else to chat with me
Now, it is virtually impossible to have 3 different people have the same name! I think they are all called Eric for the our sake,as we don’t respond to names we can’t pronounce! Eric3 proved as useless as the others, I told him to reverse my charges, Eric3 said in this end of the business, they can only take payments, which meant the transaction that was processed can not be reversed by this customer service group
I informed Eric3 that I would not be booking with this travel site as I found his practices deceptive and clearly not in compliance with our consumer regulations, I also told him that we were driving to the Econolodge he had found and would make our own reservation and booking, I then hung up!
Clearly, I felt there was something strange going on the call center, so I googled the “Travres Rescauter “website! I have attached some interesting complaints listed on the rip offer port which meant e type of practice they have, it should be noted that they commonly charge a account without permission and it does take an act of god to get the monies back! I have filed a report on www.ripoffreport.com
We decided to not take this any further than necessary, we want our money back and the company doing business in these unethical practices should fall under some scrutiny for its actions as indicated by the 44 separate complaints lodged against the company!
We filed a dispute with our credit card company

travres travel

My wife and I are seniors living on a measly pension and rented a room at Travelodge Leduc Alberta for 7 days which came to $609.00 and change. We canceled our reservation the same day we arrived, because they did not have a kitchenette, which we believed it had. Travelodge canceled our reservation without any charges. That same afternoon I was at the TD bank to get some info on our deposits and found out that we have pending charges of more than $1,200.00 dollars. Oddly the amount was $609.00 charge twice on my visa card by Travres US for a room we canceled. This is one crooked outfit and my question in how they got my Visa number. Hopefully these leeches can be sued and put out of business.

Travres hotel Booking 877-283-5585

On January 12, 2015 I attempted to book a resort vacation near San Diego, CA using Roomstay.com. I entered all my data and dates needed and push "enter". What I got was an "error" message on the site, no confirmation numbre, no itinerary, no nothing. I then reentered the requested information including our credit care again and pushed "enter". Same result, "error" message. Still no confirmation number or itinerary. I then went to Expedia's site and booked the resort vacation without a problem. The next morning on the 13th I checked my credit card account online and found three charges, one from Expedia and two from Travres hotel Booking 877-283-5585. I immediately called the number for Travres given and talked with Alex. I explained the situation and Alex told me it was non-refundable. I asked Alex to let me speak to his supervisor and I then explained the situation to Oscar. Oscar said he would cancel both reservations and that I would get an email within 72 hours. I then called the resort in California and spoke with a lady who saw all three reservations for me and she cancelled the two from Roomstay without a problem.
On January 16, 2015 I called Travres hotel Booking 877283-5585 again to check on the progress of my request. I had a good conversation with James who works for Travres and he was able to find one case number for my disputed two charges. He told me I should have been given two case numbers. James told me the billing office has one case number and that he will check into second one. Said I should receive an email within 72 hours from Travres.
On Sunday evening, January 18th, I checked my credit card statement again and there were the two charges still from Travres hotel Booking 877-283-5585. I then looked up Travres and read many negative reviews of the company. I then called my credit card company and filed a dispute. They were very helpful and assigned me two case numbers, one for each fraudulent charge. They will begin an investigation and file a dispute with Travres and be contacting me in the near future by mail. I was told to keep monitoring my credit card online and if I should see a credit from Travres to call them. I was told I will be given a "Provisional Credit" on my statement in the very near future as the dispute moves forward.
My recommendation, stay away from Roomstay.com and Travres hotel Booking 877-283-5585 if you want to avoid headaches and unnecessary stress in your life. If you find a deal online call the resort directly and see if they will match it. Don't deal with these third party vendors. It amazes me this kind of commerce is allowed by our government and isn't better controlled. Good luck!

Do not book with Travres

This is a shady operation. I do not believe that I completed a reservation and never received a confirmation from them. Then a charge appears on my American Express card with no itinerary or pertinent information, just the name of the agency and a phone number. When you call their number, you cannot navigate the phone prompts without an itinerary number, which they never sent. There is also no way to get a live person on the phone. Thank goodness for the professionalism of AMEX. I have contested the charge that appeared on my bill. Call the hotel directly to book. Do not use this agency.

Can't get a copy of my reservation

when I booked my reservation with a Lethbridge hotel on-line, never did I realize that I was flipped over to this travres*eurobookings.
I asked at the hotel for a copy of my bill and was told they have no access to that info. Told I would have to go thru the site I booked on.
Little did I know, it was thru this site. Long story short - we got our room everything was fine, but I want a copy of the bill for income tax purposes. I called their
phone # and just go ring around the rosy with the automated system.
I never did get an e-mail confirmation, I just printed the paperwork off the web-site.
NEVER book thru this site....................I am monitoring my credit card VERY closely after reading some of the reviews.
