If you call in and ask to speak to the Retention Department and let them know that you are unhappy with the price that you are paying and are thinking about leaving for a cheaper price on the same services, they will not want you to leave TWC. Then they will either adjust your bill or give you the package that you want and you will have a price lock guarantee for a year and if you decide that you do not want one of the services before that year is up, you will not have any penalties. I know that this works b/c I do it every year.

STOP... I just went through all that and it did NOT work. My account was in my wifes name so when I called they told me everything that they could do but I wanted to talk it over with her. They did agree to drop my price $50 a month but I told them I would think it over and my wife would call back the next day. (I was thinking about dropping them and going with Verizon FIOS which was still cheaper than the offer they made) My wife and I decided not to change and just stay with Time Warner. When she made the call the next day they said they had no record of the previous call and offered a $5.00 discount on the DVR service we had. The funny thing here is the lady I talked to said she would put a not on our account.
Had the FIOS system installed yesterday. Almost $70.00 less per month and they are giving me a $300 gift card for changing over. On a seperate note, the internet is a LOT faster now.
