Ordered 11/24 NOW being told 12/30 delivery
I ordered an expensive toy -- hundreds of dollars -- for my son on 11/24/11. It was IN STOCK according to the Target.com website. I have received 3 delay emails since then. The last email was on 12/13 that stated that the item would not arrive until 12/27-12/29-- AFTER CHRISTMAS.
A copy of the email is below. I called to cancel the item, but was told that the order was already sent to the warehouse for processing and could not be cancelled. She suggested I return the item to a Target store once I get it. It's in a huge box, almost as tall as me and weighs almost 100 pounds -- returning to the store is NOT an option.
I told her the email gave me the option of cancelling. She couldn't tell me why they Target.com sends out emails giving consumers false hope.
Bottom line, I can refuse to accept delivery from UPS and will receive a refund after Target gets the item back into inventory. So, I'm temporarily out hundreds of dollars while Target.com continues to deceive customers and cause people to have to scurry around and find other Xmas gifts. Don't bother ordering from Target.com.
Oh, and I didn't receive any type of apology for my inconvenience, either. Poor customer service from all three reps I talked to -- two in supervisory positions!!! Never again will I order from Target.com

Target is a local store and there are so many of them that there is probably one not 5 miles from you. Why not just drive down there and buy those jeans in person? This is the holiday season, longer delivery times and items becoming suddenly out of stock online are to be expected.
