Jan 29,2015 we were on resort property walking, truck behind us, we moved over,they were ahead of us, stopped. Man at the tailgate gave us a dirty look, and turned on his truck mounted fumigation machine, and blasted us with it. Chemicals/smoke 10 feet high by 10 feet wide. We were coughing, sore swollen throat, headache on right side only, not with it, dazed like or in shock?, couple hours later severe nausa, then next day extreme diarrhia from hell, stomach pains, our legs got itchy, then Feb 3,2015 we get off plane in Regina,sk.Canada and are major itchy,,our suitcase is wrecked from airplane,,but we are sick, exhusted want to go home,worry about luggage when we feel better.. Now want to scratch all skin off legs, and scatch bones. End up next day going to hospital we got 60 red sores on legs,,then 2 days later had to go to walk in clinic to get even stronger pills/creams...$110 total after this nightmare was over for prescriptions. Right after it happened we talked to manager of hotel Memories Paraiso Azul Beach Resort, we could tell he could care less,,said it can only hurt mosquito's not humans...He was very wrong..One month later i can still see spots, cause they are scabs now, but not itchy..My husband itched for around 3-3 1/2 weeks, me around 2 -2 1/2 weeks. Worst vacation ever!!!! We want our money back that we paid for this all inclusive hell $2,272.00 plus replace our luggage..Oh no, they give us a legal letter saying if we both sign with a witness and date it, they will refund us $60 on credit card if we shut up forever and ever...Lost one say of work,,boss doesn't pay sick day,,out that money, from itching all night, going to hospital,,then drug store,,3am-9:15am,,,then home to apply cream/pills..They offter $60 no way...Don't forget the tons of hours to phone sunwing complaint line that no human will ever answer phone. When they finally phoned back everything takes 6 weeks, then your get a letter..No one cares, no one wants to refund our money..Then hotel manager wrote sunwing, then i got a copy of the letter, saying bad things about my personality...Well if you got chemicals sprayed all over you,,and you are worried about getting cancer,,so what if i got emotional....I have 2 family members dying of cancer now,,,doctors can't do anymore...They will die..3 of my friends are dead of cancer,,so if i'm not happy,(tough). He said I (the wife), got very highly agitated, was bordering on hysteria. Shouted cancer and poison and seemed to loose a grip on the here and now events..I was unreasonable and impossible to reason with. When i told him your lucky my mother didn't come on this trip and get fumigated, because she has bad health problems C.O.P.D, asthma,and allergies. She would not of lived to even get to a hospital,,she would of died..We would of had to take her back home in a casket. Not everyone can handle your little spray that would only hurt a mosquito. Manager wrote in letter ''that i talked about shipping dead bodies back to Canada'',,,,,what a liar,,,did not say that...And sunwing vacations called his letter an apoligy letter...Really? Doesn't sound like he was or is or has ever been sorry....We want our money back,,,and we will shut up till we get it....So world you will hear from us....Thanks for your time,,,and stay safe in another country where your life means nothing, to them...And if you ever get hurt,,,good luck taking Cuba to court,,unless your a millionaire,,,cause the lawyers they have are bullies to us,,,and we are just ants to them,,and they are trying to squash us like a bug...We are not rich,,so what can we do? I'm doing it now.....Plus this hotel in buffet all food is cold, and awful,,,plates are 98% all chipped, glass pictures of juice are all cracked, patio door won't lock, and the screen on patio door fall off and hit you..No one would ever come to fix..When i called front desk,,said we wanted to go home early,,they wouldn't even phone us back..This is a 4 1/2 star resort out of 5 stars..we thought we would be safe if we stayed on resort,,,no wrong..Everyone that works with food needs a food handlers safety course,,all meat that is raw,,just sits in this bucket with flies all over it with no ice, no fridge forever...All plastic cups that should be thrown away after one use,,is not..They reuse, reuse, and give to many other people to resuse,,gross.....Now we will worry about cancer,,will let you know within 5 years...Wonder if our legs will scar up, from the 60 chemical sores....?What about all the pain and suffering we went through,,,i guess that means nothing either...There was enough chemicals for a herd of elephants...This was not an accident..Not one teaspoon on the resort,,only huge tablespoons, golf carts drive you to your room with your luggage,,but they drive so fast they almost ran over an elderly lady with a walker,,he would of hit her, so he slammed on brakes. Then 1/2 block later almost took out a baby stroller, i remember the mother giving him the worst dirty looks.
