wanted to scam me

I am suspicious that this company sent me a software which ruined my computers system on purpose so that I would contact them for help. Because when I did, of course, they said these are paid services, and offered their employee to come and fix my computer for a $100! I did not agree to that and found my own repairman, who told me that it is an easy to fix job, and took just $20 from me.
