Cleanliness and Club Enhancement chg
Before joining I specifically discussed my desire for a paid-in-full membership at Shapes. At the time I was assured by the salesperson that the membership contract I was signing was paid-in-full. The representative even went so far as to write a paid-in-full note on the agreement. She also provided a hand written receipt stating paid in a full membership status. I truly feel duped by Shapes as I was lied to. The club enhancement fee was not mentioned at the time I signed. I'd be willing to bet that this is a routine practice and not an isolated occurrence. I did speak to the club and also wrote them two letters. Unfortunately Shape's response was pay the fee or go to collection. So Shapes lost a long time customer for not disclosing that they intended to bill me fees on top of the traditional dues assessment.
Deceptive sales and billing practices are never worthwhile in the long run. It is an integrity issue for me and it makes me worry about the safety and cleanliness of the club. My business is going elsewhere for sure.

Cancelation Issues
I have a horrible experience trying to cancel after I moved from Florida to Colorado. It's been nothing but a hassle. I contacted the BBB and they couldn't get Shapes to refund my money either. They are crooked and I am going to bad mouth them all over the internet!

Cleanliness and Club Enhancement chg
Today I also received the annual enhancement fee for 29.00. The club I attend is in Bradenton Florida. Our club has had no new equipment, we have filthy yoga mats, everyone brings their own, we don't have enough yoga blocks and if there is a large class, we run out of weights. For me, this enhancement fee is a desperate attempt to steal money from members.I have been a member for over 6 years and I will not renew for this sneaky practice.
