We just received a shady call from a so called "Chris Coleman" I immediately looked him up and found this. What is their deal?
What did you guys do to stop his harassment. So far we just received one phone call, but I don't want them to call again, How
did you guys solve this problem. *help*

I would say that the best advice i can give you is tell them unless they can mail you something in print and postage it and send it, and if they can not do this you will not be sending them a dime. Also if they claim to be lawyers then ask them what law firm they are with. Ask them how long they have been a lawyer. You want to obtain information from them, because with everything i found they were a scam company. I told them that if that was the way that they did business that they wouldnt get very far. I was polite respectful and still got called stupid and woman and insulted to no end. I eventually reported them to the (BBB) better business burea, and then proceeded to tell them this when they called the last time. I reported everything that i possibly could on them.

Any time a collection agency calls you, ask for proof of debt and send a cease and desist letter to them requesting a signature. If they cannot prove your debt, then do not pay them. Besides, credit card debt is unsecured. Don't pay them.

If they do continue to call, then contact a consumer attorney (these are free on the internet) and report them. You may end up getting a settlement from this so-called firm. I know someone who did this, and ended up receiving a $1000 check.

I just got a call from "Chris Coleman" calming he was a Lawyer and stating he was going to take me to Court. he also said "WE'RE JUST GONNA HAUL YOU INTO COURT AND MAKE THIS A PRIORITY!!! He also said "WE WILL TAKE YOU TO COURT AND TAKE ALL YOUR ASSETS" well i don't have any ass hole. I looked at my back account with him on the phone and all i could offer was $50 at is time. it wasn't good enough for him. He wanted 500+ by noon the next day. if i couldn't get that it was going to be over $2000+ in fees and then some.
What the prick didn't know is that my aunt is a Lawyer. A former assistant district Attorney at that. She's a hell of a Lawyer. I called her immediately and she called him. He was EVEN RUDE TO HER!!! She settled it for $400.
