disintegrating Ritz crackers

After reading many reviews of Ritz Crackers , it seems this is not new, The crackers are and have been crumbling or disintegrating for a few years now also the taste is not as good as it was, It is good to know that I am not the only one with bags of clubs and rubs all over when opening the crackers, also its spread to all the different flavors, not just one batch, so what happened did you move to Mexico for cheaper labor and get a cheaper product? I for one have ate the Ritz crackers since I was little and I'm 69 now, it was one of the boxes on my grandparents table at all times , except special occasion, they both enjoyed the crackers and I have fond memories of my granddad in his 80 coming out at night to get a couple crackers to take back to his bedroom, we (6 kids) would be on cots and sofas in the living room on summer breaks, Please check what is going on with the best crackers ever made and try and get the taste and quality back, I will appreciate that, I really don't want to have to buy a different cracker.

Quality & Taste

In this last year or so I have noticed a change in the appearance & taste. The crackers are
pasty looking and don't have the same taste. It's a like they just wave them at the oven and throw them in a box . Please put them in the oven & bake them completely . Bring back the real Ritz. They used to be a great product.

product defect - rita crackers

Something certainly has happened with this product. A couple months ago, after the second box of crackers crumbling when touched, I contacted customer service to complain and received a voucher for replacements. This past week we purchased a new cartoon and the same crappy product. I have no doubt this is either a manufacturing defect ( hard to believe the defect wouldn't have been discovered and corrected by now ) or more likely a new version of the old product has been produced. This is simply a terrible product. Will be calling again.

Ritz is the pits

About 20% of the Original Ritz 8 FRESH STACKS boxes have had problems, in the past 3 years or so:
1. Some of the crackers were crumbled. As I opened the stack I noticed the crumbs falling out. The rest is obvious.
2. The external cardboard box is damaged in various ways. A corner might be slightly crushed. A sharp cut, from box cutters, runs through some portion of the box. Some box flap is fully or slightly open (not glued properly.
3. Today, I discovered a new issue in the Ritz that I bought. After consuming a few of the stacks, I realized that the crackers were stale (NOT Fresh). I examined the stacks and noticed that there were razor thin cuts in the flaps that sealed the stacks -- all of them. As you touch the individual flap, the stack opens up, as if it was never sealed. Not airtight for sure. Mystery solved!!!

I made it a practice to return these failing products to the Stater Brothers store. The store replaces them. This time I will speak with the store manager.

Ritz Crackers

I have only been buying the Ritz in the smaller stacks because they are the only ones with salt. The rest are tasteless and crumbly. The one I bought last week at Wal Mart has not a drop of salt on any cracker. Opened 3 small stacks and licked every cracker. NO SALT . Is salt that expensive? I don't think so. The crackers were also crumbled around the edges and became more crumbly after I touched them. I will throw away the whole box and see if I can find some crackers that taste good for snacks. I thought maybe one of some kind of machine had run out of salt and maybe an employee didn't get to it soon enough but after reading the reviews here it seems to be a regular thing. Well this is one product that has gone down the drain.

Crumbly Ritz Crackers!

I have eaten Ritz Crackers since I was a kid. Recently there has been a drastic change in how they are made. They come out of the box mostly ok but the day they rumble to dust. I’m careful to not break them when placing them back into the box. I’m careful to seal them from moisture. Regardless they are trashed by the next day! They don’t taste as well either. What gives? Time for a change maybe.

Nabisco Ritz and Cream Crackers crumble

I’ve noticed Ritz crackers getting so “crumbly” that they can’t be used with any sort of topping. They shatter into bits right out of the package. Awful. Today I tried some Nabisco cream crackers, hoping they’d be easier to eat. Nope. They’re even worse. I have crumbs all over my kitchen. I checked the product packages and note they are now being made in Mexico. That may be the problem. Reese’s peanut butter cups from Mexico were so bad, i stopped eating them for a while. Same thing, crumbling when removed from the wrapper. I don’t care where the products are made as long as the original standards are met.

Clearly that are NOT.07175

Rittz pieces and dust.

All I can say is you should change the name from Ritz cracker to Rittz pieces and dust. I made some dip opened the crackers and I didn’t realize I needed a fishing net to get the broken crackers out of my dip.

Crackers suck!

They are terrible now. My wife and I we dipping them the other night, and we left more cracker in the dip than our mouth. Nope, not going to deal with it. Hello Town House, my new best crackers. Sorry but don't jack with something that was awesome forever!
