ReservationCounter.com Scam001-484-3156 United States, Illinois, Willowbrook www.travelscape.com
Persistance paid off
It seems that Hotels managed by people of middle-eastern decent use this crossover web site for reservations. My group had a rate of $101 per night but I booked for $74.50 per night using this web-site. I pre-paid on July 2, 2014 for two nights at twhat I thought was the Willowbrook Holiday Inn, only to find out that their designation was pulled by IHL due to not keeping of franchise standards.
I'm glad I saved all my confirmation contacts because one week earlier I started to call to confirm. The hotel had no record of me having a reservation. After 2 hours and a person on the other end from another third world country, I was able to have a few notewothy numbers to jot down WWTE 877-283-5585; 484-242-3156 wth an email of [email protected]. They confirmed that my reservation was legit and while I had the Hotel on one phone and them on the other, a confirmation was emailed to the hotel.
It was NO suprise that when I went to check in, the hotel still had no payment verification. The hotel used my phone numbers and were immediately connected to a person overseas and after 35 minutes had what they needed.
This site purposely does NOT send the paid paperwork to the hotel, leaving it up to you to talk to a machine. I'm sure once these numbers are made public, they will change. My personal advice is stay completely away from web-sites like this and call the hotel directly.
The hotel was definately sub-par, but the Reservations.com web-site added to the pain. The front Desk and limited hotel staff did their best BUT since I pre-paid $74.50 per poom, all others checking in got a rate of $59.00!!!!!
........................Moral of the story; If you don't use a Hotel Rewards Card, call the hotel directly
