Stay Away!!

I can not say anything good from this company other than they processed my paperwork quickly. That's it!. I have been with them (not by choice) since June 2015 and have had a year of misery from them. I am waiting for my seventh replacement phone and haven't been able to make a call in eight weeks. They send junk. One of the phones was new in 2012! The first phone I received would not take a charge. They sent a replacement at no charge but that phone was an old non-smart phone and wouldn't hold a charge for more than a day. It is obvious that they don't inspect these phone very well if at all. They offered to send a replacement battery for $40 or said I could order one myself over the internet but I would have to pay for it. I chose for them to send me another replacement phone for a $25 charge since I wasn't happy with the phone in the first place. The third phone worked fine for a month or so and then just quit. I called them as soon as it broke and they told me since I have had the phone more than 30 days, they would send another replacement out but it would be another $25 fee. That was my only option. I very reluctantly paid the fee again since I am disabled and I need the phone to call for assistance when I need help when I'm out or if I fall. The fourth phone was on for about two months but then one day I felt a burning in my pocket. I had just taken off the charger and put it in my pocket on way to the Dr. office. When I looked at it the back case was warped from the battery overheating. they made me pay yet another $25 for phone number five. It arrived with the screen cracked. They sent me another replacement (NUMBER SIX!) at no charge. That phone could not be set up to work with their network (tell me they quality check the phones!), so I sent that phone back for an exchange (again at no charge). I just got off the phone with them now wondering when my phone would arrive and they (Emily-a supervisor LOL!) told me that they never received my phone and they can't send out the replacement until they do. Well they provide a "Business Reply Mail" card with the quick guide that you write the RMA# on and attach it to the package. Emily told me that it is the USPS that I would need to contact to trace the phone, q-link does not do that. Last I checked, there is no way to track a business reply mail card or package. It has been three weeks since I sent it (a total of eight weeks without a phone) and they will take no responsibility for the lost phone. I was given the choice to either continue waiting for the phone to show up to q-link or pay them yet another $25 to have a phone sent out right away. So now I am out $100 after using less than 100 minutes of talk time, not having the convenience of even a life line, a year of frustration, crappy customer service, crappy phones and refusing to process my opt-out request.

7 weeks and waiting

I helped my disabled daughter apply for a phone with them online on April 10, 2016... the website works enough for us to long in and check the status of her application, but nothing has been done. it still shows as pending further verification. We called and they keep telling us they will email us when/if status changes. It is now June 3rd and we have finally been told a phone will be sent out in 1-2 days, but the website still shows "pending further verification"... Now I am wishing we went to safelink instead.

I am still awaiting a cogent response from Q Link about its sending me a replacement 'phone which was itself defective.


In the interim I attempted to use CHAT which--mind you--I was told I could do in the numerous replies from Link. I was informed by your rep that I must telephone instead. Even tho' I explained that my severe speech disability prohibited my so doing, he was unsympathetic. He haughtily demanded that I have another person place the call for me. Even tho' his request runs afoul of Federal Law, I did--indeed--attempt to telephone; yet, I received no satisfaction.

I would appreciate Q Link employees being instructed in the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act so that such employees throttle urges to treat thrice-degreed Gimps as Life Unworthy of Life...

Qlink impossible application process

I've tried applying for a QLink phone and have had a horrible experience. The customer service gives conflicting information each time but I continue to provide the information they request. I still have no phone and no status update after many weeks of going through hoops. I would highly recommend going with a different provider.

pone stopped working even though troubled shot

The Qlink phone arrived on 6/24/2016. I was excited to see that it was a Smart phone, however, very disappointed, as within 1 or 2 days the phone went dead, although fully charged. The battery sent, was dead. I charged the phone as stated. Very disappointed. I'm in the process of trying to get an RMA number to return the broken phone.

Q link is a joke

I did a live chat with q link telling them I needed a new phone because someone stepped on mine and broke the screen well they proceeded to tell me I needed to send $15.00 to replace my phone. I told them I will not. I asked how can you charge for a replacement? I always get a message when I check my minutes telling me a new phone was sent which I never got and waiting to be activated. Now I ask anyone how does one activate a phone they never received? Wish I kept lifeline they were curious and very helpful. Q link sucks and I would never ever recommend them to anyone.

BEWARE: Is QLink collecting Government $$$ and NOT starting accounts? !!!

My application with qualified document Proof upload the same time for QLink Wireless Lifeline program - "Free phone + 500 Free minutes monthly" on AUG 10, 2016 before sunrise. Qlink email-confirmed receipts of the application and all online contacts near instantly. That has been the only good part.

ELEVEN (11) DAYs have passed. The application status and DELAY reason are total unknown!
Phone inquiries simply go circle, TIME-WASTING and with NO ANSWERs by real persons or with useful info!! Emails or Contact-us under logon get again near instant confirmation of receipt, even with a person name - "MELISSA HALLE of QLink QA", but NO STATUS, NO what TO-DO, NO SOLUTIONs!!! The application has made NO PROGRESS.

Beware, applications do require: NAME, DOB, SSN last 4 digits, a valid ADDRESS to receive a phone, a phone number, and PROOF of a government program participation - again ID INFO!!!

DOUBTS have come to mind:
1. Is QLink Wireless collecting Applications with real ID INFO to collect Government $$$, in one/MORE programs for the financially disadvantaged, but delivers the program benefits to only a FEW or NONE applicants??? Is it a scam?

2. Does QLink Wireless also profit from all the ID INFO it has collected and continues to collect from applications by selling ID INFO?? Is QLink Wireless committing ID THEFT???

THIS DOSEN T WORK' NO THING WE DO GIVES US INFO

not sure if just not charged or what.. loved my flip phone / Q link.but now I cant get this to work to authorize.. box was opened too & that bothers me..I paid 4 this one..why cant I call no.to authorize /doesn't even lite up keyboard. HELP???

Received phone thrown in a box. Does not work. Unable to get the RMA# to send it back. No customer support. All automated and takes you right back to where you started from. Another rip off from the government program that claims to help people.

no customer service

Qlink is horrible!!!!! No customer service!!! As a disabled person who depends on a phone, I am very disatified as my phone keeps freezing up and cannot get live assistance!!!! Poor company!!!!!!

Choose a different company

From reading reviews it looking like I could have it worse! I am disabled. The phone they sent doesn't not charge. I was able to reach customer service on the the phone the fifth time after being disconnected the first 4 times. I asked for them to in writing, either by email or mail to provide proof that my service was disconnect after I requested them to disconnect since the phone they provided was not a working phone. They are unable to do so. Another government program wasting taxpayer dollar. How does the consumer know the government isn't still paying the bill for what isn't being provided?!

idiots

I had help applying for my phone. Turbs out the person helping me used my info and her address. She got het phone and mine claiming she thought they were hers. I tried to get help but couldnt because I didnt know the password. I never got a phone but linj says i have one. I even tried to tell them to disconnect anything with my info but instead the thief next door wins. What a batch of unsecured bull crap

Horrible phone

I just got off the phone in an attempt to get tech support spoke to someone named Sabashton says that it was weird that the phone was not responding to any of the commands he had me put in then told me my phone was out of warranty and I would have to pay $25 to replace the phone when I asked why I should have to pay when the phone is clearly defective he said he didn't know what I had done to the phone and I had to pay the $25 for new phone when I asked to speak to a supervisor he told that she would only tell me the same thing I spoke to the supervisor and she accused me of doing something to the phone and that it worked on different days I explained that the phone would worked sometime then it would stop and now it's not and the steps I was told to do didn't work and I shouldn't have to pay for a phone that defective she insisted that I have to pay it is horrible that this is a gov program for low income families you get sent a sub-par phone then they say it's your fault that you have to pay to get another sub-par phone that may go out again and you must pay again scam not doing it take chance and buy a pick up and go will work better horrible phone horrible customer service:(

Got it last week,returning it today

I received my Q-link phone in the mail 11/18/16 and I'm sending it back as of 12/01/16.
The I received my Q-Link phone I was on my way out the door when the mail person came, I didn't have time to play with my phone at the moment, so I opened the package and plugged it in until the next day. The next day or so I start checking out my Q-Link phone but within 3-4 days in on the way home from a family event my Q-Link indicated it needed charged, so I plugged it in the car and then when I got home plugged it in the wall outlet, next day i go to check my Q-link phone it was dead as if it didn't charge at all. Unplugged it and plugged in the charger it came with and still no life.
Called support which they had me take out the battery and wait 3 minutes before putting back in, she said hold power and volume button for a few more extra seconds, when I did it came back on for a very breif moment and my Q-Link phone never came back to life. The female operator then gave me a RMA number and said that there was a return post card attached to the leaflet, told me to tear it off tape or glue post card to the box my Q-Link phone came in, tape it closed, then put in my mail box for carrier to pick up, which I did so today/12/01/16 about 9:30pm.
It sucks that my new "FREE" Q-Link phone broke already but what can I say? "That i want my money back, when I got this phone for "free". And yes it seems that maybe this phone had been previously used, not a big deal since the phone was "free" and the previous users stuff whipped clean.

I'll keep you all posted on any updates with the return and or any correspondences, lets see what happens..next.

No service

I got a qlink phone but the service only works in certain places! Not in afton Michigan! Or other smaller towns! This dissappoints me because i have phone calls to make and have to drive to even get services! And nomally its thirty miles or more away to get any service! Thats the whole point of getting the phone!😤😡

*Got it last week,returning it today.*
I received my Q-link phone in the mail 11/18/16 and I'm sending it back as of 12/01/16.
The I received my Q-Link phone I was on my way out the door when the mail person came, I didn't have time to play with my phone at the moment, so I opened the package and plugged it in until the next day. It took a whole ten days to return the old phone, to receive my new phone today in the mail 12/10/16, lets see how long this phone last, crossing my toes&fingers that I have a pleasant successful experience with Q-Link. It seems that if you follow there instructions/protocol things work out and still no money out of pocket as of yet. Good luck yall

Decent Phone - Terrible Connection

ZTE N817 phone. It's not even close to good but it is a decent cell phone and actually has a few useful features. Phone came new, set up was fairly painless and software upgraded w/o difficulty via internet. BUT...84% (to this point) of the phone's battery on time has been without cellular connection. Even in Minnesota we've heard of cell towers and if my experience is representative of the service overall, then I highly suggest you go to Tracfone or another prepaid service. This one is going to frustrate you.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE

Call-wise, Qlink is not too bad. Often, for some unknown reason, texts will not go through.
The huge problem is the data plan. It is just as expensive as a non-subsidized company would be, which basically tells you they are ripping off both the customer AND the government. Paid a ridiculous amount for data, didn't get half of it, didn't work very well when I did, customer service very unhelpful (phone people have been trained to talk over you and repeat the same thing over and over), NO refunds.
Very much a scam company, providing as little service as they can get away with. You have been warned !!!

First and for.last I had a ratherong anengthy discussion about Bait and Switch with Q Link Wireless
Promising that there "Unlimited" plan was for 60 bucks.

Well as it turns out they cut you dead off once you hit your quaota of 10 Gigs

It that is not all I found out.
After the 30 minute talk I found out another thing.

Q Link is Not Government Owned.
They are a private company who's mi nutes are reimbursed. By the government.
Oh and if they act like Sprint, that is because that is their vendor.
So in a nut shell

Q Link is a Privately owned Carrier Who Subs under Sprint who then has the free Minute subsidised by the Government.

So if you hate Sprint, You may not Like Q Link.

On a Side note Q Link did make mention they destroy and erase data from their servers 30 days after the phone has been shipped out.

I think I much rather deal with T T-Mobile prepaid ... Than deal much longer with Q Link Wireless..
Everything I have mentioned is true.
Just research it for your self.

At least I got lucky and got a Moto G3.
It is water proof.

Poor customer service

Q Link is one of the worst companies I have ever done business with. The customer service stinks, they sent me an email and told me to call them that they couldn't process an answer through the email. Yea, like try to CALL customer service. Automated service and finally I found a live person. The free 500 min plan is now as of 2/17/2017 a 500 min data plan, 350 min talk time.....and text. They told me the government said to change everyone's plan, BUT....I can BUY a plan from them. If I could buy a plan I would not be on a FREE plan with the government. Terrible service...............
