Grossly inferior Product

I bought their product and have never applied it. they started harassing us about using their cleaners and preparations before we put it down, insistent phone calls how we should purchase these products also, we told them never to call again. Got a call today, three years later, telling us we had price protection on another $1600 worth of stuff and now we have to buy that or it goes to collections. I told them no way am I sending more money. We'll see what happens next. Major crooks.

Grossly inferior Product

I just got a phone call from Dura-coat for concrete floors saying that I had to order another 3 gal. of their product because I had purchased 3 gal 3 years ago at a "special price" that was only available for a complusive 6 gal. order according to them. This is bull*%!! They then said that if I didn't order 3 more gal that I would be charged more money for my initial order. If I didn't pay it they were going to have a collection agency after me. Do not order anything from this company. They use to be based in Lindenhurst, NJ but are now in Gurnee, IL. Their web site is now dura-coat.com. instead of protectyoursurface.com . They are scumbags.

I purchased 6 gal 3 years ago.The product said Dura-coat on the cans and was purchased from Protect Your Surface.I was assured this was the end all of outside concrete finishes.Within a year the product started peeling and now there is no evidence the coating was applied.Recently I received a phone call from a VA phone number stating I am obligated by a signed invoice from 3 years ago to buy 6 more gal @$165/gal or I will be sent to collections. The call came @ 7:30pm and sounded like a hard sale from a mob boss. They stated Protect Your Surface is now T.F.S. ?. The call came from 703-658-9410.

I received a call from a James Lynch (Phone #229-658-9410) and he said that I had a "contract" to buy more of their Dura-Coat product. When I told him I had no contract with the company he started getting nasty and started saying he would take me to collections (try it buddy!) and that he would contact my state (Huh?), and after telling him I would refuse the product if it was shipped to me, I hung the phone up. He then proceeded to call me back (I have caller ID), and I picked up and then hung up. Well, I contacted my attorney who wants to know if there is anyone else in New Jersey who has had a bad experience with this Dura-Coat product or the TFS (The Farm Supply) company. He wants to pursue a class action lawsuit to stop these people from harassing innocent people and scamming them.

Grossly inferior Product

We are a church in Indiana who got the same spiel about having a contract, must buy more etc. etc. etc. We bought 16 gallons of dura-coat paint from Protect Your Surface based in Ohio and they tried to say that we signed a contract for 40 gallons at a "special price" and if we did not purchase the remaining 24 gallons we would be charged another $189 dollars a gallon for our first purchase. When we refused, they tried to offer us a farm supply credit instead of receiving the paint (yea right!). They tried calling multiple times, but we would not budge and we are contacting our credit card company to make sure that they do not try to charge us. (They had our credit card information on file).

I got a call this morning from a Missouri # 417.520.1272. The man said I had contracted to buy 12 gallons of Dura Coat in 2007 and had only taken delivery on two. When I told him that the product was still on the shelf, he told me that I have to pay for the rest of my "committment" or it would be "default" He also said they have a MC autopay on me. I told him to fax me all the records and that I would look at them, but he refused. I went to look at the box the paint is still in and it has a 2006 ship date. I tried to call the company on the shipping label, but the # has been disconnected. This is obviously a bad company. My next call will be to the BBB.

Whew.. that was one stressful phone call I just received from "Dura-coat". I got the same spiel as you folks where they said I was obligated to 12 gallons of the product when I had already purchased 4 gallons, 4 years ago. Their rep was very convincing - so much so that I'm still not sure if I was being scammed or if it's being sent to collections. When they called they said I owed for 8 gallons ($800). We talked for awhile because I was so confused about it and no idea what they were talking about and certainly didn't remember agreeing to a 12 gallon contract. I was told that they had the original call recorded, as well as a signed agreement, but when I asked if they would email or send me the agreement they refused. I said that I wanted to hang up and call them back to verify that it wasn't a scam so he said to go ahead and call the number he gave me. I called the phone number on the original invoice, which was different from the one he gave me and it was disconnected. It wasn't until the end of the call when I found this website and I told the rep that I see they are doing this to other people, that they finally said they are going to close out the account. I'm blown away at how convincing they were. After the call, I googled the phone number that the "senior finance officer" gave me and it does link to a dura-coat selling company, but this is apparently at least the 3rd incarnation of the company. They were called PYS in 2006, Dura-Coat after that (according to a complaint listed above) and now ISS - Industrial State Supply (according to the googled phone number).
I too, will be contacting the Better Business Bureau. That was just crazy.

I purchased the PYS paint back in August 2008, Applied to their specs.in October and product peeled within 9 months. Called customer service w/ my unlisted cell phone, They answered once and said they would get back to me. No reply in a week, called again and no answer. I have been searching off and on for the salesman and company...(Every time I had to repaint from thier poor product). Well, just received a call from that S.O.B. tonight @ (727-331-3409) in Clearwater, FL. asking if I needed Any more paint... I said I've been waiting for a credit for your inferior product. He said he will check on it and hung up quickly. I see that there is alot of honest people getting screwed from these ... It will catch up to them!! I hope this info will help others.

I purchased pys epoxy in may of 2006 and was called 4-9-2012 to purchase 7more gallons to fulfill my 10gallon non existing contract. I only had ordered 3. told him no and hung up. He called right back and said by hanging up would not solve the problem. He said I must not of understood the deal and that he wold call the warehouse and see what he could do. put me on hold for a moment and came back and said since I had not understood the agreement that I only had to take 4 gallons. I said no. He said if I have to put a zero on that line YOU DO NOT WANT TO GO DOWN THAT ROAD. WOW sounds like threat to me. I told him that he is not going to want to go down the road that I am going to take him. I became verbally abusive at that point and hung up. Next day 4-10-12 called credit card company and warned of a possible unauthorized charge. Tried to call pys from the caller id but it was not a working number . Imagine that. BEWARE

New round of calls coming, I too just as everyone else had a similar experience and now they have "resurfaced" again and the calls are coming from Nashville, Tenn. and Tampa, Fla only this time i got a hardship granted and only had to purchase 4 gallons of the 9 i had left on my "ageement". I feel so much better about finding this web site, nothing worse than thinking you are th only one. again still very convincing salesman who got ahold of me at work and after 10 minutes of talk I told him I had to get back to work and he even said so I'm at work also! Very arrogant! Calls coming from 615-258-9963 and 815-258-9963
