Another Poor Pool Pump
I am learning the hard way that if you plan to purchase an item that costs more than $200, you should read the reviews and customer complaints prior to making the purchase. Unfortunately, I believed that since the pool was purchased at a Walmart store, Walmart would also assist. . . was I wrong!!
We purchased the pool July 2015 and one month later the pump went completely out. When we called Polygroup Pools, we were informed that the pump was still under warranty, but we had to pay for the shipping. The pump is heavy and we paid $18 to have the pump returned; we received the new pump in two weeks.
Here is it is a year later and the new pump did the same thing after using it twice. When we called regarding the pump, we were told that the pump is over a year old. We explained that this is the second pump within one year; we received the new/replacement pump in August 2015. The representative informed us that there was no record of the pump being returned and a new/replacement pump being shipped in August 2015; therefore, since the pump is no longer under warranty, we would need to purchase a new pump for $79.
Is Polygroup serious? If we have had two pumps to stop working in a year, why would we spend additional money to purchase another pump from this company? This company should be investigated; and I will also file a complaint with the Attorney General and BBB. As for Walmart, I am truly disappointed in the product quality. I promise myself that I will never shop at Walmart again; if more people would boycott Walmart, the store would stand behind the merchandise in the stores.
