All should deal with a private Mechanic who is an independent, If the owner is hands on or manages his business, The guys at chain shops do what they were told I closed s Pa state inspection shop in Pa. opened in 1959 some times a car needs to be diagnosed by removing a ton of parts if this is the case, No one should complain some customers lack common sense If it a engine - transmission -emission issue obd2 or obd3 a diagnostic connection will find most.Keep in mind most people hate paying to repair vehicles.Some swear by chains.Local shops don't have the buying power of large chain So if part prices make your decision You get what you asked for.

Brake Inspection and A/C Charge

On 7/16/2013 II have taken my 1998 Chev truck to have the brakes inspected and to check for any leaks. I explain to Mike that the cliparters in the front may need to be replace along wiht the brake hoses and to inspect the main lines for any leaks, I expalined that the brake pedal was very soft.. When I pick up the truck the brake peddle was still soft. When I got home I check the brake master cylinder had very little brake fluid. I returned the truck on 7/22/20123 and he explained that the brake line was leaking. I explain to Mike it should hve been ckeck when they perfom the brake inspection. at the same time he explain the rotators need to be rreplace after I told Mike the to check and see if they needed to be replace and give me a price. Mike call back with a price for $1000.00. Mike explained time and material their is a guide book on this matter. I beleive they never inspected the brake system. This is any way to get more money from the comsumer.
The other issued I had the A/C unit inspected and dye seal and feron put in the unit I was told everything is ok well the same problem the A/C unit did not hole a charge. He want another $1000.00 to replace the unit. The only thing he could do is to give me back a refund of 197.00.

Again my time to go back up due to poor workmanship and inexperience mechanic. Thank you for your time Cosmo 610-777-2045
