Frustrated with uneducated minorities

Unable To File due to phone hang ups, etc

Wow this unemployment numbers 201-601-4100 and 732-761-2020 are a joke. It's funny when gov't needs money (ex: income tax) they make the process very easy and friendly. However, when they need to give money (ex: unemployment for people who truly deserve it), they make the process extremely hard. What a joke. Been waiting for 3 hours and nobody is picking up the phone. I feel bad for people who do not have access to the Internet to claim their unemployment benefits. I bet the workers at the unemployment office are getting paid while not doing work (ex: picking up my phone call which is still on hold for 3 hours). It's high time you stop hiring minorities for gov't positions. Atleast hire people who will do the job right. I wonder who even monitors these workers if they are or are not doing their job? I am so frustrated with this service.

Unable To File due to phone hang ups, etc

OMG I have been on hold FOREVER... tried to call every single number in the One-Stop Career centers to get help with my unemployment claim, got busy signals for about 30 min before I finally got through to an AUTOMATED system which repeatedly still hangs up on you... then FINALLY like another 30 min later I am on hold for an agent.

The online form doesn't allow you to enter more than one part-time employer for filing partial unemployment and also the system did not give me a confirmation after I clicked 'submit' so I am not even sure if my claim went through or if I should do it again. And also when I opened my new claim I elected for direct deposit but yesterday I received a debit card in the mail from them... there are just so many mistakes on so many levels with the NJ DOL. This is so much time wasted that I could be looking for a job!

Unable To File Continued Benefits Via Internet

This procedure is the most frustrating ever. Unemployment gives the option to claim Bi-weekly continued benefits on Sunday, however their server is always down and has been for 4weeks already. This procedures was implemented so that one may receive their UI Benefits quicker than supposed...Now I have to wait till Monday which delays my check.

Waiting Time

This must fall on deaf ears because reading others complaints it's the same thing over and over again. Been on the phone since 9:15am it's 11:16am now and still no answer Can't beleive you can be busy for two hours straight!. Let's get a camera in that room and film how busy they really are with helping people . Who monitors these people? Perhaps their on their breaks? Love those city workers. Gotta get a job like that. Any openings? Get people that really want to work. I would like to know who reads these letters? Can they read? DISGUSTED!!! How are they allowed to get away with this? Frustrated!

State of N.J Unemployment Agency

N.J. unemployment is a joke .I applied and was denied and never told why. I have spent several hours on hold to get no where. I have worked very hard in the state of N.J. for over 30 years then when it comes to applying for unemployment I am told I am not eligible ,It is very frustrating not being able to speak to anyone. It is rediculious to spend 4 hours on hold. I cant wait to leave the state of N.J.

RUDE RUDE RUDE!

First requirement to work at NJ Unemployment is your outrageous rudeness! Followed closely by your lack of empathy, nasty, belittling tone of voice, and a talent for talking over people that are asking for your help. My first call I was told there were to many callers already waiting so I needed to call back next day. That happened multiple times. When I finally got through to the recording that said I could leave my number and I would be called back within 3 hours. Almost 3 hours to the minute I get a call back from a machine verifying my name before putting me back on hold for 24 minutes! I hung up because I had to got to work. (I receive partial unemployment due to hours cut by employer) Called again another day same thing. Finally connected with a 'human?' I had one simple question that in the end was never answered. She constantly talked over me in her nasty condescending tone. I hung up on her. Had to call AGAIN today for what to most would be a common issue easily rectified courteously. Not here. Left my call back # again and received my return call about 4 1/2 hours later. Although not as long a hold this time I was met with the same rudeness and disrespect as the last time! Could have been the same woman? I don't know. Who trains these people and why doesn't a superior randomly call from time to time and listen to how they are treating people? Outrageous behavior being condoned at NJ Unemployment call center!
Shame on you!

Rude

I had an interview today, and the interviewer was rude. I understand that he must have been stressed out, but after I made a 'mistake' he kept talking over me. I asked him to stop to listen but he raised his voice to keep talking. I bet he just wanted to get his job done, but I was only trying to explain so that I could clear confusion. I shut up and kept listening to him, and finally we were able to 'talk.' Much sympathy for this person, working under pressure (I believe), but I certainly did not want to be treated this poorly.

Where is my Benifits

I filed for my unemployment in January, had my phone interview February 20th, and was approved. It is now March 6th and still no payment sent. Why is ok for this government to take money each week but takes them months to give out. I will call higher authorities to try and resolve this issues. If I have enough backing I will take them to court for the state's better well being. Your automated process doesn't work. It hangs up on us as if we don't matter.

EXTREMELY RUDE

I spoke with Mike or Michael from the Family Leave department; HE WAS TERRIBLE. He DID NOT LISTEN to me as I tried to explain the confusion I received. I was transferred over to four other people before ending up back on his line. I spoke calmly and simply asked for information and he seemed to get frustrated and threaten to hang up on me. I ask to be redirected to someone else and he says, ' I already told you yesterday that I can't see your information!" (even though he already brought up my information the first time speaking to me) -_- I told him that I never called yesterday, it was earlier and he just seem to be furious. I tried explaining that I got redirected back to him but he did not want to hear anything. He is a horrible person and I don't understand why he answers phones if he doesn't know how to listen or speak. The state should be ashamed of themselves. Everyone I got switched over to were all confused. They need to hire someone that listens to these recorded phones calls so that the issue can be fixed. Now after waiting for two months for a claim to be looked at for review, I just gave up. It is sad that I could not even get some of my own money back.

Rude

I am truly convinced that one of the job requirements is to be absolutely rude to people who are trying to claim their benefits. In 2012 this was my first time dealing with unemployment. I had my first phone interview and the woman was beyond rude, I tried holding my tongue and not snap but I lost it, how dare you as a worker treat people like this.
Fast forward, I claimed my unemployment benefits this year because I am a 10 month employee and a full time student. When I filed for my benefits in either March/ April my last two employers were listed my current job and former (Amazon). I had two phone interviews and was asked to verify if I was taking summer courses because my benefits would be given because of my school status.
However when I went to claim them this week I did not receive my benefits because Amazon reported that I claimed I didn't work there which is impossible since unemployment has it listed.

I called unemployment and spoke with a man who was beyond DISRESPECTFUL. He explained that I needed to have a phone interview with an examiner to explain my job status with Amazon and I asked why did it matter if I was receiving school benefits. Hee had the nerve to tell me he was done answering my questions so I hung up on him.

I would truly love to know who I can complain to because the customer service of these representatives are non existent

Claim

My Husband Recertified His Claim On 7-7-20 He Called And The Guy Said Calling Everyday Won't Make Us Move Any Faster!! How Rude!! Their Working From Home Not Caring How People Are Surviving And How Bad They Need Unemployment Workers To Do Their Job!!To Tell People Not To Call Them Is Wrong. They Claim Their Working Around The Clock. That's B.S. All Of Them Should Be Fired For Not Doing Their Jobs And Being Soo Damn Rude. Because They Have A Job And Don't Have To Worry About How Their Going To Feed Their Families Or Keep A Roof Over Their Family's Head Man Get It Together Already.
