Scammers - Dodgy Dealings

Booked with My week away, 10 nights in Thailand. Never did they send the EVoucher, and they were hard to get in contact with. Jeff, is not very helpful at all. I called to see if I could have dates just outside the expiry time (even if I had to pay a little bit more). He did get back to me via email stating it was all confirmed. Then no confirmation came through, for me to hand to the hotel. 5months later before leaving I again contacted and requested he send me something so when I arrive I have this to hand across. A basic word doc was sent, and I felt worried. Arriving at the hotel at 11pm, my worries were confirmed when I was advised they did not have a booking for me and my two children. The hotel "By the Sea" Panwa, were very helpful and nice and put us in a room for the night. When trying to finalise the payment the next day for our stay, I was advised that nothing had been confirmed, and that they had sent many a reply email to Jeff to which he never responded. Obviously to state that there would be a huge extra charge the the time requested. I negotiated the cost with the manager, paid a small amount extra, and had a fantastic stay. If I had not negotiated the charges, my original $850, 10 day stay would have cost approx $2500. Not a nice surprise when on holidays.
