Non payment
As a former employee I can attest that this company is full of scum. I stopped working for these douchebags because they often had you lie or make something up in order to recieve payment. Their staff is trained to go about work orders as fast as possible so many details are overlooked. As a result many non payments are due to errors on the part of data processors and their management. Why do companies like this even exist ? They're middle men who do nothing but sit in a office all day and make up numbers out of thin air. The calculations are usually wrong. Many workers do not last very long their becyause they work you to th e bone. It was funny looking into managements eyes. The lifelessness was astounding. Sane people should stay away all together.

there* it upset me to learn about such cheapness taking place in the business sector. All contractors should stay away. Put this company in the dirt where it belongs.

Theft of Services II

Many workers do not last very long there because they work you to the bone. It was funny looking into managements eyes. The lifelessness was astounding. Sane people should stay away all together. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH MIKEN CONSTRUCTION . They often take pictures from the contractors set out so they can later have a different case to report to the bank so they can make MORE money. When it was there to begin with . Companies like this contribute greatly to a bad economy .

Beware
do your job and do it properly and you will be paid for it. in these "hard times" people always use that excuse to half ass work. if you dont like working for this company stay away from their job offerings and find out how hard it really is out there. honestly if you have a problem doing this kinda work especially for a great company like miken go get a different job holding up business signs for dominos.

Beware of this company!!!
This company is a circus of clowns run by incompetents!
Let me break it down for you - Accounting is a joke - a few book keepers who cannot or will not actually process everything turned in. Don't bother telling your PM, or APM you already turned it in - nope - they don't even believe their own employees when it comes to this. They will run you up for thousands of dollars of your own money (and beyond in several cases)- and somehow YOUR accounting is defective. I felt sorry for the PMS when I hear them talking about this.
Rule of Business- Book Keepers ARE NOT accountants! (One of the PMS said that - poor guy. )
Insurance- Be prepared to work for free. Piss poor management- and horrendous pricing. How about a profit margin of around 50% for them? Wait until you get zero because one photo is off - no excuses like same angle but one guy was taller/shorter than the other...nope.
REO: Be very careful who your PM is. Some of them are good - some of them are drooling idiots with the construction knowledge of a 7 year old with half a box of Legos and the customer service to match. Asking for their supervisor will not work - He does not want to talk to you- unless you start talking Liens.. Don't mention Lead Tests....you will lose the job unless they think you will turn them in. (I choked on my coffee when I personally heard this one)
Don't bother with the VP- he can't spell construction. Every Employee in BOTH building knows that.
Sales (This one is for Clients) Ask WHY Miken was removed from the HUD List? Why has Volume Dropped? Is it because a large chunk of the portfolio was handed to a nincompoop who cant even show up to work on time?
Employees: Don't even think about applying- be prepared to get screwed. Minimal pay (you will do better at a Fast Food Restaurant) and an environment of fear. ZERO Loyalty and backstabbing politics. Job performance does not matter- it is an environment of fear. People live in fear of mismanaging dweebs who use the owner as a threat.
HR- Knows as much about HR as I know about the thermodynamics of the average South American Tse Tse Fly. Marginal Safety training- Usually about something that has nothing to do with the work environment. Though you can see great examples of unprofessional behavior by senior management at company events.
This place is a Joke - I have watched the people who performed get laid off (including guys who won awards for Customer Service) while they keep dolts who can follow the simplest instructions on the payroll.
All Miken cares about is meeting their Scorecard- its this nifty thing that their Main Client came up with to drive prices down. Guess what that means for you? LOWER PRICES FOR YOUR WORK.
For the record- I am not a former employee....I STILL WORK HERE! (Though as soon as something better comes along - I am OUT OF HERE!)
Now for the Miken Troll (yes - havent you noticed that there will be a snotty post to anyone who has the balls to call them out? )
who will inevitably post on here- I still work here because I have to pay Rent, and Gas. I am not a sales manager or above sneaking around the rules and buying properties - I am not part of the bonus structure so I don't make a ridiculous amount of money. I am a lowly hourly employee that gets sweated for a minute of overtime while the company makes millions a month- and wonders how much further my department will get cut back - or if I will have a job tomorrow.
