call centre rudeness
I was contacted friday 18th May 2012 by an advisor from a cll centre in India representing Microsoft. The man said his dept was aware of my lap top problem and was contacting me to try and resolve it. I askes whether this was a follow up call from a while back when another gentlemen from India tried to talk me through a procedure which might rectify my problem, this was unsuccesful,and the man assured me that this assistance would not involve payment. On this occasion, the advisor took control of my lap top and proceeded to locate the possible problem. He then said that it would now cost me £97 to rectify the problem. I said this payment was out of the blue, and although I agreed there was a problem I could not afford to pay that amount at the time. He continued to push the need to pay and solve the problem and when I insisted I could not afford it, he became very personal and rude. He said I wanted something for nothing and my government pay for everything and I dont want pay anything.
Having repeated that I could not pay that amount of money at this time,he then said " well what can you afford" this I felt was not in the Microsoft handbook and said I was terminating the call. He rang back within the minute and called me a liar, old liar. I then put the phone down. He then phoned me back on the land line phone and at this point i did not speak, but only listened. All I could hear was raised voices and shouting in their call centre office,and at this point I rang off. This whole episode was upsetting and so personal and rude. Can you please resond to this asap.
I do hope this complaint is dealt with within the United Kingdom, if not I will be very upset.
