Well now, I am somewhat bemused by the posters vehement attitude,
Is true there are rooms where some of the participants are as stated, i myself have suffered similar treatment, but by individuals, not by the room Op's, the only time Op's are "vindictive" is, when someone is being a dickhead .Guests more often than not, will not accept the conditions or rules of the individual rooms . I see that the solution to that would be, do not visit the room or consider the simple compromise of working within the rooms guidelines.
So an across the board MIBBIT is "blah blah" is like saying because one dog bit me all dogs should die!
To qualify my statements i might point out I have been and are an OP in several MIBBIT rooms, and i am a volunteer helper in a computer help room there . Sitting in rooms for over 12 hours per day does give a wee insight into the nature of Guests . There is a broad range of human nature that we see, the large portion of whom are real nice folk who just come and go . A portion who suffer from self insecurity, a group who are brash and arrogant, others who are openly gay, others from Moslem background, I could make a heck of a list . The point i am making is, is that the rantings (misdirected) of someone who was slighted, (or was banned for advertising their own dens of inequity, the very thing the poster is claiming MIBBIT to be ) are a big pile of bull pucky and any that even entertain the thought that MIBBIT is dirty, should look at their own motives for saying so. I cannot comment on how the mibbit server operates there staff however I did wander in the other day and was curious about a mirc skin for the mibbit client. Of course I got treated to idiotic behavior by staff. Asking me what mirc was and I must be using mibbit to connect to the irc server. (As if mibbit was the only IRC client in existence) It's not that I care if there are morons on a server but this came from staff who are in the #help channel. (maybe they aren't official staff I have no fucking clue) Either way, I was treated to a host of idiotic people with some kind of staff position. They should consider hiring people with brains and not people who sit on the channels all day acting smug and giving no answers when real questions arise claiming I'm the one in there to troll. Also the mibbit client itself. I'm gonna assume it's a piece of crap because whoever designed must be a piece of crap himself. I'm not sure if that's the same person who hires ops/moderators but if they are not they still probably work somehow closely together or communicate in someway. Maybe not. I don't know. but you'd think the guy who programmed mibbit would have some brains not to let a bunch of retards okay op when they clearly don't know what the hell they are talking about.
