pure scam

This company offered me a free watch I just had to pay for shipping. Well I did it and later I received a bill fro $100. Wanted to send watches back and get a refund but they refused me saying that it is not according to their policy. Pure scam, beware!

No watch, but they also charged me for $200!

I purchased two sets of wrist watches, and paid just $15.00. A week later I saw that they charged me once again, but this time for a whole $200.00!!! This is absurd! I had to cancel the account because of them, and now I am seeking legal action.

Do not buy watches from this dealer! I purchased branded watches time ago but I received just a cheap Chinese junk! Tried to exchange them because I paid a lot but this seller inored my claim and never responded on it. Beware and better stay away!

Watch Quality and membership

Maxnaim.com told me I could get a watch for the price of shipping $5.99. If the terms of agreement are not read, you will be billed a monthly cost of $49 plus an additional $98 for the watch if you do not call and cancel within 14 days.

they state they follow a strict no-refund policy beyond the 14 days.

I encourage everyone who feels like a victim to fail a complaint with the:

Used their opportunity to grab more money from me

I was suppose to pay $10.00 for shipping. While I was waiting for my watch, I checked out my account and was shocked. They took also $100.00 from my credit card! Thieves! I wonder if I will still get the watch!

MAXNAIM

I paid for a watch, and somehow missed the part in "terms and conditions" concerning cancelling within 14 days or being charged for the watch. I didn't even get the watch within the 14 days. On the 1st of December, this company took $98.00 out of my bank account because I didn't cancel within 14 days. The watch certainly is not a $108.00 watch. When I called the company, the lady I spoke to kept referring to the "terms and conditions", but when I called to make sure that my "membership" had been cancelled, I was told that it had been cancelled. I believe this is a one shot rip-off they are taking at people. I would very much like to join all the other people who were taken by this scam, and get my $98.00 back if at all possible. Thank you,

Do not give out anything, instead scam!

They promised to get a watch for answering a survey. I did not receive it, and they also charged me somehow. Now I’m out of $100.00 because of them!

credit card scam

This company is just another credit card fraud. Beware and be careful - as soon as they get your details they will start to overcharge your account without any notice like it happened with me and many innocent people.

Fruad

The company did send me a coupon to get a watch, pay only shipping and handling $5.99. Nothing else. I allowed to take that amount from my master card. They took it from my account. But now the company took $49.00 from my account again without my consent. It is a FRAUD. I should get back that money as soon as possible.

charged from credit card

The company gave me a coupon and asked to pay $5.99 for shipping and handling for a watch. I did allow to take from my account. After that the company took TWO times $49.00 each TOTAL of 98.00 (12.01.12 and 12.31.12). That is Fraud. Then today I got ONE watch again. I do not want it I have to return it. I need a RMA #.

Unsolicited products received

A questionaire was taken about products, in return for which a watch was
received, for a low shipping fee.

After that, on a periodic basis, three additional watches have been received,
with additional deductions to the credit card.

The company which keeps using the credit card is:

Maxnaim

I was asked to complete a survey, in exchange I could pick a Free Gift paying only the postage of $5.99. I received a cheap (Made in China) watch. On my next credit card bill I saw the $5.99 shipping and a $98.00 charge. I called my credit card company to complain and they contacted Maxnaim. They were told that the terms and conditions which I accepted stated that if I didn't return the watch in 14 days I would be charged $98.00. After my complaining they issued me a refund number and told me to contact [email protected] . They told me it was too late to return the watch.

Scam!
Same deal as mentioned by others. Free watch offered for completing a "short survey" just pay shipping.
I received the watch but it is not a $100 watch which is what I was charged also the band is too tight on my wrist. I requested a return label and a credit but was denied because of their 14 day policy.
This was on what they said was the 14th day, but by my calculation it was the 13th day. The order was initiated on the 15th of March and my request for return was done on the 29th of March. If a twenty four hour period is considered a day then I was "in time" with their 14day policy.
It is a matter of principle and I will follow every avenue available to resolve the matter to my satisfaction.

Maxnaim Watch Co.

I got scammed like everyone else. They sent me 4 watches and charged my card over $250 before I knew they were scamming me. They would not take the watches back because of their 14 day return policy. I emailed the Glendale, CA better business bureau and the California Attorney General. I actually got a response from the Attorney General. Here is my correspondence with this scammer company: They did refund my card the full amount and told me to keep the 4 watches. It works to threaten to dispute that charges on your car and write to the California Attorney General.
Please scroll to the bottom and read.

Dear Ms. White,
Thank you for taking care of this matter. I will watch my account for the refund.
Tim

Dear Tim,

Thank you for verifying that a dispute is not in progress. Please keep the products as a sign of good faith on our part. We will issue the refunds today and you should see it within 3-5 days.

Dear Ms. White,
I tried to resolve this by contacting your company and was just given your standard response that the 14 days was up and I could not return the watches. If you are willing to take the watches back and refund my card I will gladly send them to you. I have not yet contacted my credit card company to dispute the charges. Please tell me what I need to do the send the watches back for the full refund.
Sincerely,
Tim

Dear Sir,
We find it truly unfortunate that you do not feel you are willing to resolve this matter internally, with our company. Please be aware of our continuing desire to rectify your complaint before escalating the dispute to your financial institution. In the interest of full disclosure, allow us to respectfully advise you of some facts regarding the dispute process.
Once a dispute is filed, we are instructed by your bank or lending firm to cease any dealings with you personally, and instead allow our financial institutions to communicate and mediate the final resolution, as we do file a charge-back reversal form. During this 30 to 90 day process, your bank will investigate our terms and conditions to verify that we have not charged you in a fraudulent manner, at which point they will award the funds to the party whom they feel is correct in this matter. Please also be advised that once they have made their ruling, this decision is final and is not subject to further negotiation.
Should you wish to avoid this process and continue to maintain a dialogue with us regarding the steps you can take from here to ensure you are refunded, please reply stating in writing that you will not be continuing to pursue your dispute, and that there is no dispute currently in process against our company. Once you have verified this, we will provide you with explicit instructions for you to be issued a full refund. You may also wish to review our terms and conditions at maxnaim.com/terms where a detailed description of the offer you signed up for is listed in full.
Respectfully yours,

Michelle,
You did not have any terms or conditions listed when I filled out the survey through Amazon. I did not ever see your "Order Page" because it was not there during the order process. I was supposed to get a "Free watch" You scammed me by charging me for it. I did not understand why you kept sending me more watches until I looked online and found how many other people you have scammed with the same deal. I did not pay attention to my credit card statement or I would have seen the charges much earlier . I am returning all the watches by UPS signature required and I am contacting my credit card company to contest all payments sent to you. I am also contacting the California Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau in your city.

Tim

PS.
Here is a copy of my complaint to the California Attorney General:

The company in question is the Maxnaim Fine Watch Collection Company They scam their customers by having a pop-up on the internet showing it is coming from Amazon. They say if you do a quick survey you will get a free watch by paying only $9.95 for the shipping. They get your credit card number and the next thing you know you have a $98.00 charge on your credit card. They don't tell you that they sent you a watch on approval and if you don't return it within 14 days you are charged $98 for the watch. At no time did I ever see any terms or agreements about any other charges for the watch. You are also enrolled in their watch of the month club with out your knowledge. They then send you another watch each month at the "good deal" price of $49. I got 3 more watches before I figured out what was going on. I neglected to check my credit card statement and did not notice the charges until last week when they send me another watch and charged my card. I contacted them and they refuse to take the watches back because I am past the 14 day return deadline. If you look online and search for "Maxniam Reviews" you see that they have done this same scam to hundreds of people.
The original purchase of the free watch was Nov. 4, 2012. I got a receipt by email with absolutely no terms or agreements stated. Then approximately at 1 month intervals I received another watch. I have receive 4 watched now and have paid them about $255. These watches are made in China and although they look nice they are probably a $10 watch at any flea market. I am going to try to do a charge back with my credit card company. I am going to send them back but I am sure they will refuse my box so I probably will not get my money back from the credit card company. I am sure you have gotten complaints about this company from other victims so I hope that if you get enough complaints you can do something about their dishonest actions. Here is a link to their website https://maxnaim.com/ It has all their terms and agreements there but they definitely were not there when I signed up for their scam. Here is the last response from them:

Dear Tim,
We regret that you overlooked the terms and conditions which were provided to you on your order page (https://www.maxnaim.com/ORDER). We ask that you take a moment to review this page and note that the details of the offer and the auto-shipment program are described in full detail about an inch to the left of the fields which you input your payment information into.
Additionally, the terms are listed in their entirety at the bottom of this page, followed by a “check box” in which we ask for your binding agreement that you understand the terms and conditions. Please note that our order system cannot issue you any order unless this box has been checked as part of the order process. Most of our customers do, in fact, either return their product within their trial period, or keep the product and go on to receive additional items on a monthly basis.

Dear Tim,
We sincerely apologize if there is any confusion regarding the nature of the offer which you signed up for. Please note that you were charged because you did not cancel your account and return the item within the allowed 14-day period, as stated in our terms and conditions. As is explained on our web page from which you initially ordered the product (https://www.MaxNaim.com/ORDER), you have 14 days from the date you sign up for the offer to determine whether or not you wish to keep the product and remain a subscriber in our monthly Auto-Membership program. Had you canceled your account during this time period, you would not have received any further charges or shipments. However, since you had kept the product and allowed your account to remain active beyond the 14 day trial period, you were billed for the full retail cost of the product and enrolled in the auto-membership program, as described in our terms.
In an effort to ensure that our customers understand the exact nature of the offer, we have listed these terms twice on our order page, and require that you check a box stating that you have read and agreed to our terms and conditions. This agreement is necessary for the system to even be able to process your order.
Please note that your account is now in a state of cancellation, which means you will not receive any future charges or shipments of the product.

Respectfully,
Bridget Summers

by receiving a pop up survey on amazon.com website. The popup stated that I have won an exclusive Omax fine watch.. retail cost$109.00 the only obligation I needed to pay for shipping!!

Couple weeks after receiving the watch.. it was not what I expected, the watch material was very CHEAP and Brittle however I though I only lost $7.99 for shipping

I went ahead to locate the actual watch, no watch was located on their website plus there were no watch over $25!! While reviewing my debit card account I noticed a charged of $98.00 from this company!! I called my bank and reported Fraud!!
