Violation of Payment Agreement
why didn't you just call right away and see what was going on instead of waiting nearly 2 weeks for them to call you?
Not only that, but you should've anticipated them still taking the money out, even if it was late, and therefore avoiding an overdraft fee.

Violation of Payment Agreement
Very true, Moonpies. The money should have been in the account regardless.
You were lucky that they agree to the OD fee credit. Most companies won't. Because they didn't overdraw your account; the money should have been there and not spent.
However, if you want to 'null and void' the payment arrangement, be prepared to pay the past due in full. By law, it is not mandatory that they make a payment arrangement with you. They can enforce the original terms of the credit agreement. Don't listen to your friend because when your payment arrangement is cancelled, it will be you not your friend responsible for the bill. The best thing you could do, whether they debit the account on time or not, is have the money in your account on the 1st and leave it in your account until they debit it.

The place to go is the source: Macy's billing dept. You should have called them right away dear lady. Contact them ASAP. As an aside, it is unwise to post your contact information on a public website. Do consider having it removed.

Violation of Payment Agreement
You seriously need some money management skills if your bank accout only had $10 while awaiting an outstanding debit, not to mention how you got behind in the first place.
