Bad customer service
I ORDERED GLASSES 12-27-1 RECEIVED THEM 1-17-12 THE PRESCRIPTION WAS WRONG AFTER BEING CHARGED FOR AN EXTENSIVE EYE EXAM. ORDERED ANOTHER PAIR WITHOUT KNOWING THAT PERSCRIPTION WAS WRONG BECAUSE I HADN'T WORN GLASSES A WHOLE DAY AND THOUGHT IT WAS JUST GETTING ADJUSTED FOR THE FIRST TIME NO LINE BI-FOCAL . THE MANAGER/DOCTOR REFUSED TO GIVE ME ANOTHER EYE EXAMED AND EXPLAINED HOW THE MONEY WOULD COME OUT OF THE STORE IF THEY CORRECTED THE LENSES FROM OTHER STORE, EXCUSE ME. I WAITED THREE AND A HALF HOURS AND LEFT THERE WITHOUT GLASSES STILL. THEY ARE AWFUL AND EXPENSIVE AND I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK.

Extermely Poor Service, Late, Prejudice
I had something like that happen once, and I did need to go back to the optometrist who did the test and wrote the Rx for the glasses. I was retested by another optometrist, and the result was a different Rx! After that, Lenscrafters gave me at least one pair of new lenses at no additional charge. It's true that the people who provide the glasses, use the Rx they receive for each eye, fit the lenses into the frame, and can have nothing whatsoever to do with a customer's disatisfaction. Once, however, I ordered lenses and frames from the optical department of a major department store and couldn't see properly when I received them. I gave it a couple of days, and then went over to Lenscrafters with the glasses. They actually found the problem: The lenses were not positioned properly into the frame...something about the axis... I was so grateful to Lenscrafters, got a refund from the other company, and reordered the replacement glasses from Lenscrafters! I have been their customer ever since--about 21 yrs.

Pressured sales
Eyegirl, I work as a certified optician for LensCrafters. After a few years of working there, some things we have to do started to bring my morale down, so I put my resume in to private practices and had several job offers. Sad part was, none of them offered me better compensation than I was getting at LC. They did not offer me anything close to what I was being paid at LensCrafters, their "discount" on glasses wasn't anywhere near what I get at LensCrafters (at LC we get a free pair every year for us or our spouse/eligible dependents to use for glasses in addition to half-off anything else but Maui Jim), and though some even offered to pay part of my medical premiums from the company of their choice, I could still buy my own insurance cheaper than that. This was from a couple small-practice optometrists as well as large facility ophthalmologists. Not every place can pay better than LC, probably because of the fact it's a corporation. I am still employed at LC because of this.

send me a piece of junk insteal of high quality product as promised
I purchased their polycarb lenses and it was huge mistake and waste of money. The delivery was late for two months and when I received my order I found that they send me just a cheap piece of junk instead of high quality product. When I contacted them for a refund they just said that they don't have refund policy. This is just a scam!! Beware and better don't buy from them, all their offers are too good to be true!
