The service is bad at the home delivery counter

hello, i actually work for breezemount in epsom and i am shocked by your comments, when i go out on the road which is a 5 day week 6 in the morning till sometrimes 8 oclock at night. and i have worked for them for 7 weeks now, and i have a 99 percent delivery rate, we call each customer an hour before hand to make sure they know we are coming, we are told we only have to deliver to a maximum of three floors up when there is no lift, however we always carry upstairs, even to the fifth floor with no lift, sometimes full kitchens and bedroom suites, i love my job as it keeps me fit and i work with a good bunch of guys, also the management there is second to none, i know a few bad eggs may appear, but when u recruit lots of people, the bad ones will eventually stink and go, which are few, i can only say that this is the most physical job, i have done, and i have done removals for 20 years now, ikea furniture is very heavy, as for the comment about letting them in your home, i find that quite rude, u are always welcome to lug it in urself ! i can only speak for the guys i have been on the road with, but they are all hard working individuals,

breezemount

Hi i used to work for dhl and deliver for ikea from peterborough, no rob the only reason why breezemount have the contract is due to money breezemount under cut themselves to get it. people who do that mean they are a shite company and do it just to survive i have done research and if you did you would know that Philip shields the owner has changed 5 times using family members to run these so call companies even one of his family members is banned from running a company due to vosa regulations breezemount ltd breezemount UK etc as soon as ikea wake up they will get rid of you in a shot so i hope every person reads this message and checks breezemount out who are based now in daventry and are a Irish company you say breezemount do 99 % successful delivery rate i don't think so after breezemount have only been doing the whole of England for 2 months i have a mate in the call centre and say breezemount are shocking and have 99% customer complaints you lot even pissing in customer gardens and swearing great customer service breezemount, try answering your phones and even leaving there items on ground level for a bloke and his pregnant wife to carry up 3 flights of stairs at least dhl and myself always did no matter how many stairs that's you all over breezemount never use breezemount people i know and everything they have done

breezemount

Robbie Tep, I must be one of the unlucky 1% then. It's 6pm, have been at home since 7am waiting for my delivery. Spent half my day trying to find a phone number that actually gets answered by breezemount. Eventually did (ring Daventry office - Ikea no use). Guy was v polite but did not know where my delivery was (one of his trucks, not sure which) or when my sofa will arrive.

At no point has anyone called me to explain/advise/apologise.

This is the second time I have had goods delivered from Ikea through Breezemount. Last time they arrived at 8.30pm and left it in the lift for me to carry myself.

Breezemount

I have worked for Breezemount for a year now and i would like to add to the debate.
Firstly yes customer service is awful. AS A MANAGER our workforce is mostly made up of 80% non british workers including agency and 20% job center which r now our employees. Pay is just above the minimum wage per hour. Warehouse operatives earn the same Supervisors not much more. Do the "Shields" owners of Breezemount expect their delivery crews to be enthusiastiic about their jobs when they work weekends, work 8 to 12 hours per day, and if they do finish early see their ovetime deducted from the days they finish early. Office staff are not interest in listening to us as they r boged down in unnessesary paperwork that i have been and agree with. Customer sevice in non exsistant as would anyone make an effort when on just above the minimum wage and overtime (flat rate) deducted if u r lucky enough to finish early. Next time u Ikea/Breezemount customers complain about your delivery service read this. We the surpressed on little above the minimum wage dnt give a shit if u get your goods on time or if at all. Do u blame us? WOULD YOU?

Breezemount Ikea Charging Zones

Breezemount used to charge £15 for delivery to Chester. It is now £50. It is still £15, 2 kms from this address. Have they heard of grading the zones? Who increases their charges by 250%? Neither Breezemount or Ikea have replied to my comments on this. Remember, without customers, you have no business.

bullying and harrasment

Got a probation period with Breezemout UK Ltd, was sacked after one months, cos management don`t like people complaining about their work conditions incl. healt & safety at work - NONE, alchohol & drugs policy - NONE, bullying from supervisors and managers - YES. In three weeks they sack 4 people!!! Be aware for company like this.

Unprofessional Management

I worked for Breezemount at their Thurrock and Lakeside depo and I'll have to say they have the most unprofessional management I have ever seen in any company. Managers are so full of themselves they don't say hello to anybody. You dare not make any complaints else you end up doing all your delivery in central London for that week. They always find ways to cut your overtime because managers gets bonuses for reducing their operational costs and so you are used like a donkey. During my time there, I saw so many guys ending up with bad backs, hernias, broken legs and necks and they just replace them with agency staff. I worked there with a painful knee sprain for over a year because they will not pay me any money for sickness. Customers should not expect any human being working conditions like that to provide them with a good service.

breezemount

I have just received a Ikea delivery through the company Breeze Mount. This was a dreadful experience, the delivery guy was rude and aggressive on the phone in the first instance and even more so on arrival at my home and this attitude was caused by me pointing out that I expected a phone call an hour before they would deliver the items not 10 mins whic is what happened. I was home alone with my young daughter and she was so concerned she had started to call the police! I felt very intimidated and actually quite shaken by the time he left. this is an absolute disgrace and I will not order from Ikea again.

Make you happy If you don't like it go some were else your the ones that slag off the company and sit on the wagon getting the other person to do all the work

PS any company with people like you are heading for a free fall

Joke of a company

Where do I start? What a joke of a work place, Management don't have a clue how to manage. Go to them with an issue and the whole warehouse and road crew no your business. Just the other day I was standing there listening to Justin the manager talking about an incident that happened with 1 of the road crew and I knew straight away who they were talking about and how the driver was getting sacked and the porter kept her job. Both should have been punished. You get told no road crew aloud in the office unless your names Lewis who does nothing but moans. Moans when he goes out and moans when he don't. And a supervisor who just doesn't turn up and the poor admin has to run a shift on his own. Pay is very poor for the amount of work you do. Most days it's at least 2.5T of work over 20 plus drops then you get a second run which you have to load and that will be the same weight but over 2 plus drops. That's nearly 5 plus a day. A porter is on £7.40 ph and the forklift men get £9.60 an hour. One of the forklift men told me he was leaving got himself a new job but they begged him to stay and now putting him through his 7.5T licence. What about the men who work all hours for nothing. No bonus no thanks and over worked. Over time gets stopped, not aloud to work more then 40 hours but as soon as they struggle and need help they expect you to go out till late at night. When they are short staffed and you are asked to help ie: porter on £7.40 does admin/supervisor role he doesn't get paid more for it. You work hard to progress in the company and when a new job opportunity comes available you don't even got offered an interview.
Work equipment that just don't work, when your out on the road the mobiles die you have no charger your given an epod that freezes and when you don't use them you get ICN for it. If you run on time and deliver a bit too early you get an ICN. Must keep in time slot so the managers get a BONUS.That's Justin and Craig who just mess about play fighting throwing objects at each other. I've put holiday request in and have to chase for it to be excepted. How can you book holidays when they can't be bothered to agree it. And you never see the managers helping or doing over time, We have electronic clocking cards and they write their cards with a pen never do the hours that are put down on it. I have never worked where everyone knows everyone's business and job rolls are way above the job rolls given, Supervisor are managers. The admin do all the jobs such as warehouse, porters, forklift and even loading. The road crew do admin, warehouse and even acting supervisor, yet we are all on different pay grades but expected to do the same tasks. It's a transport company and lorry's aren't checked out by management it's by porters some aren't even fit to be on the road. The only supervisors who treat you with a bit of respect are way over worked. SUMMERS was one of the best they had even he was over worked under paid and ended up leaving. If you suck up to Justin and Craig then you get looked after. So all you need to do is buy them a lunch and a costa and you get special treatment. Do the job to your best abilities and you get more work given to you, no thanks for it. I do believe they are down to 2 S**T managers 3 admin/supervisors and and 1 good supervisor and that's to run a business over 7 days a week. I think that's saying something right there. My work mates are all that keeps me doing this job because they are a great bunch of guys who work together and help each other out when in need. We have a moan a laugh and a cry but at he end we come together and help each other out. They want this business to grow and be successful then they need to start looking at where you are going wrong.

Terrible management

I used to work in Breezemount Thurrock and it's a horrible company to work for. They pay their porters peanuts and expect them to offer excellent service to the customers whilst they are being overworked. They do the job of a loader, deal with customer complaints in addition to their delivery work. Customera should not expect any good service from a company that treats its staff in this manner.
