hi there
last year i filed my taxes with IBSN they told me i will get refund of $400 from PA state they charged me $100 for tax filing.
After sometime i got letter from PA state they mentioned that they wont consider my case for tax forgiveness and i'm not eligible for any refund.
I contacted IBSN many times but didnt get any reply from them...
Its always better to file taxes thru some local agency which are reachable...for any queries.

Dear Praveen -
No where IBSN promises or guarantees - It prepares the tax returns in the best interest of the taxpayer as per the details provided and if your income qualifies to receive tax forgiveness, the system presents that you are entitled for such a refund. However, there are numerous other parameters the state may consider to determine your non qualifying status and you cannot bluntly put messages that IBSN is not trustworthy.
I have appealed to put a mail to my attention and if it is not resolved at my desk then you could have had the opportunity to anyway put the message on forum.
Non undertstanding the tax return preparation law fully and passing derogatory comments on the tax prepare is also unethical and demeaningful...
Also please note, we have charged you $100 filing fee - $75 towards Federal and $25 State of PA and CITY filing fees. The amount we charged for PA STATE would hardly mean $10- 12.5 of the total tax return preparation fees that we charged and it is disrespectful to put such a deragatory comment in public forum.
Please check your tax summary for PA State and we have not put any planning fee to considered that we have cheated on a wrong claim... It was just a charge for filing the PA & City. It is very important that all professions are equally treated with dignity when we are all migrating here into the US to earn our bread with dignity and hardwork.

I have posted the response but for some reason it is not appearing here... I have sent personal response to Praveen Rohira... We are abstaining from putting our response here on.. IBSN has not erred on the tax return and we have put a detailed explanation in the personal response offered to the taxpayer - Praveen Rohira, while I totally agree that our service levels were pathetic...

Hi Laxmi, I have filled my tax returns through IBSN for tax year 2009. File No. R55477. Could you please forward my tax return document. I am calling at all IBSN numbers sending mails and putting messages but no response. As I am in need of the document could you please respond as soon possible.

Looks like Laxmi is out of her sweet slumber of months.
Laxmi, let me tell you this. IBSN sucks.
You guys not just messed up my 2009 and 2010 tax returns, but you also have the worst people in your company, including yourself.
Also, along with messing up my individual returns, ibsn said that they will file for my corporate taxes and you guys never did that. Thats pathetic.
If you guys have any shame, shut down your idiotic shop and learn some ethics before you file a single return.

IBSN is a junk website. They are not trust worthy. I had very bad experience with them. They never respond to emails or calls. Funny thing is they have 5 numbers listed on their website, they always goes to voice mail, no one will pick up the call. This is truly Junk tax consulting company. I suggest everyone not go with these people.

I am one more victim facing lots of issues with IBSN, I paid USD350 and they told they will support next 3 years for any query BUT
I got a letter from IRS on Audit and not able to reach IBSN by Email or Phone, It's looks like no one available for any kinds of help. I paid good amount as a fees for so many things and now when I requires help from IBSN people on tax Audit, no one responding me. All the contact number given on the web site is wong. I am not only the person who is getting this kinds of respose from IBSN their are plenty of people who is compling about this. Before we gave money to them they used to call immediatly after I email them BUT after I Paid fees no one replying me. I really don't know what to do now.

I am going thru a troubling experience with IBSN now. I have been trying to contact anyone at IBSN at all possible numbers listed on their website and email addresses anywhere ever listed including their own website IBSNTax, MYIBSN, IBSNUS etc and Google search. None has proved to be fruitful so far. I have not received any email/phone call of any kind. I am planning to file a complaint with IRS as a fraudulent tax service provider against IBSN.
I see a lot of complaints in the board against IBSN Inc. I assume there are hundreds like me on the same boat unable to contact IBSN. Please respond if you support the cause and suffered from being a IBSN client. Thanks again.

Please support the cause of those who definitely have merited substantial planning ... but got plagued with a bad customer service approach... As I have noted in my earlier emai, we will be taking up what we can chew - Unlike last years, where customer support opened the season, we are about 6 seniors who have taken up the responsibility to act as a single contact point for client to communicate...

IBSN cheated
Hi
IBSN has taken 1200 dollar as fee every yr and i filed 5 yrs with them wasting more than 6000 $ ( charged for itemized and standardized) Nothing i recieved as it quoted and got very less . Inspite of it it promised it would do it the next yr and always repeat the same...fraud ...scam )

i am also cheated. IBSN is a very good cheating company...never ever file your taxes with these guys.. i called more than 40 times everytime i get a answer that we'l get back to you shortly !! . They charged double time $70+70$ still not at fee return... vijay

Anil, every case has its timeframe and in privacy I cannot discuss anything beyond this in public forum. Analyzing the case facts, compiling associated revenue rulings and matching court judgments to fit the case argument consumes hell lot of time upon the case and we are definitely turning in our paper work as scheduled. With so much of travel schedule i have across the country, with files and season spread length & breadth of US, it becomes very difficult to update in frequence.
we commit our response before the statutory time period, unless a particular case situation drags our minds to stretch further time requirement. Please be rest assured. While the department works in the best interest of the revenue, we put our toiling effort to represent client tax condition in the best interest as it suits the taxpayer. Whether at the end, department approves or disapproves of certain claims, we definitely put our case merit to the attention of the department. Having practitioner confidence is extremely important for the practitioner to represent the client argument in absolute professional independence. I promise I shall not be compromising my professional independence and the ethicalty of a claim - it it matters incorrect judgment at the time of return preparation, I would also not be hesitating to let the taxpayer know of the case weakness but if we analyze that there is a contestable case argument, we will pull the matter at the agent, appeals office or even the tax court. We just represent our client community in their interest and for their merit and this is what wins the bread for us.
Dear Anil, Representation is one department I made it very strong at IBSN now unlike in the past as Department has increased its machinery 10 times and very few are capable of representing case matters before the department. Reading the book theoretical and referencing the law as an interpretation manual to the merit of the tax condition of the taxpayer are two radically different approaches to the practicing merit of a professional. We belong to the second category but that does not mean that we are doing something aggressive. Arguing a possible case point on a client case is never a crime. It rather helps the entire expat community. In diversion, agreeing to a weak case means professional dignity. I have in my practice merit have not gone back on eitherways and did my best in the interest of the taxpayer... Our office shall appraise you shortly... Thank you for your patience,

I have received a query for my 2010 federal tax returns from the IRS dated 17th Jan. I am supposed to reply back within 10 days. Do I reply or would IBSN represent me? I have paid additional money for IBSN representation during my 2010 filing.
