Terrible Online shopping experience

My name is Gabrielle and I ordered a few items on the H&M website. My mother wanted me to order something on her behalf as she is not good on computers. I ordered the item she wanted - using her credit card - and got it delivered to her house in New York. After that was completed I ordered a couple of items that I wished to purchase for myself. I ordered the items I wanted - using MY credit card - and got it delivered to MY house in Massachusetts.

After both orders I received individual confirmation e-mails for my mom's order, then my own order. Days later - I received ONE e-mail for ONE tracking number - stating ONE total amount for ALL the items I purchased days previous. The e-mail stated that ALL of my items were going to my mother's house in New York and that ALL of my items were being charged to my mother's credit card.

I called H&M customer service to check on this as I clearly needed two different shipping information as they were both two COMPLETELY DIFFERENT orders. The customer service representative told me that when I order items within 24 hours of one another that ALL my items will be COMBINED. I have NO IDEA WHY that is the case. It is totally BAFFLING to me that I was unable to split up an order on the same computer with two different delivery addresses and two different credit cards. I completed both orders individually and received two separate confirmation e-mails with the CORRECT information.

How would ANY customer know this was going to happen? Now the presents I ordered for my partner's Christmas present in Massachusetts is being sent to my mother's house in New York AND my mother is being charged the entire amount on her credit card. This has caused an extreme hardship and inconvenience to me.

Not to mention - while customer service representatives and managers were NICE they basically told me I was s*** out of luck even though I had NO IDEA this would happen. They basically said sorry but there's no changing it… oh, you can have free shipping next time you order something. THANKS? That's not helpful.

If that is your policy - to combine orders (which is RIDICULOUS and CONFUSING) at the very least I need some type of notification that the combining of my orders was going to occur. Did it ever occur to H&M that I might need items to be delivered to two different places? Or order with two different credit cards? I don't think my request was too farfetched but I DO think it is very farfetched that I'm left in limbo with my orders.

Very frustrated with this "Combining policy" and I think it is a serious error that H&M needs to work to correct in their system. I appreciate the friendliness I received on the phone but it is just unacceptable that there was nothing they could do to correct the error. If nothing else comes from writing this letter, I hope it reaches someone's hands that realizes just how strange a policy this "combining orders" is and how much inconvenience it has cost even ONE customer (which is ONE too many).

Unfortunately, I will never continue any online shopping with H&M as this is an inconvenience I feel should have been avoided entirely.

Not able to charge my merchandise

Yesterday I tried to charge merchandise from H & m online. My charge did not go thru which I was concern about. So I thought there was something wrong with that specific card so I used another charge card and that was rejected as well. Understand I have great credit. I also called American Express and they told me the charge went thru but was rejected by H& m. I spoke to a Destynne from customer service and she could not tell me why I was not able to charge. I do not shop that much at H&m so there should not be any information concerning me on your data base. If so please let me know what the problem is. I am very upset and there was no other person to speak to except Destynne and she supposedly told me there was no person I can speak to. I was disappointed that I was not able too purchase my items. Please let me know what is the problem with your system. I would prefer to speak with someone after you let me know what the problem is

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PRODUCTS

H&M IS HORRIBLE! MISLABELED ITEM AND CHANGED TITLE OF ITEM AND FEATURES LESS THAN 24 HOURS AFTER I ORDERED. REFUSED TO PAY FOR MY RETURN OF THE ITEM EVEN BEFORE I RECEIVED. TREATED ME VERY RUDELY EVEN THE SUPERVISORS AND CALLED ME FICKLE AND LOTS OF OTHER RUDE TERMS I WOULD NOT EVEN USE ON HERE. DO NOT USE THEM. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND MISLABELED PRODUCTS.
